I thank God every day that I don’t have to produce this kind of masturbatory fodder for my political party.  ‘Ethnic cleansing.’  Ye gods and little fishes…

Frankly, I don’t WANT readers who get off on this kind of Democratic agitprop, but I guess that after the last election desperate times call for, as they say, desperate measures. Link is here, for the moment: it will no doubt go away as soon as a functional adult in the Democratic party apparatus notices that its hyper-partisan social media trolls are writing checks that the larger party’s reputation can’t cash. Because just in case nobody’s ever mentioned this: this kind of smear job* doesn’t work on its own. You need to have headwinds.

The Democrats don’t have headwinds. But they have social media people who think that their own party members are idiots! That’s worth something, right?

*For those wondering: the entire :rolling eyes: ‘ethnic cleansing’ thing stems from a response that Republican Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach made to some loon on talk radio. It will no doubt shock all of you to hear that the Democrats are warping the response in question:

“What protects us in America from any kind of ethnic cleansing is the rule of law, of course,” Kobach said. “And the rule of law used to be unassailable, used to be taken for granted in America. And now, of course, we have a President who disregards the law when it suits his interests. And, so, you know, while I normally would answer that by saying, ‘Steve, of course we have the rule of law, that could never happen in America,’ I wonder what could happen. I still don’t think it’s going to happen in America, but I have to admit, that things are, things are strange and they’re happening.”

Things are hard up for the Activist Left these days; used to be that they didn’t have to drill down to state-level politicians to find opinions to distort.  It’s almost impressive, though, how the opinion of one crank calling into a local talk radio program can be turned into the national opinion of Republicans everywhere**.  Well, actually, no: it’s actually pathetic and sad, and I hope that the idiots who tried have exquisitely uncomfortable Thanksgivings when one of their great-aunts breaks down and cries about what they said about her.

**Basically, the trick here is to take a really dumb question, pretend that the person responding is 110% in agreement, and then try to inflate that into a general statement about anywhere between 30%-50% of the population.  You’d think that the Left would know better after they had to deal with all those 9-11 Troofer freaks of theirs, but, hey: it’s always different when it’s the other guy, am I right?
