Hey, what’s the difference between CBS-3 KYW (Philly) and WFTV (Orlando)?
KYW caved to the Obama campaign’s bullying after doing its tough interview of Biden: WFTV, of course, didn’t. Via Ace of Spades HQ. Moe Lane

Fausta’s Blog reports that WFTV will be getting no more interviews from the Obama/Biden campaign. Which means, of course, that the Obama/Biden campaign just voluntarily degraded its access to central Floridan airwaves for the rest of the election. Ah, pride. A wonderful sin… in one’s opponents.
This wasn’t pretty: then again, interviews where you’re being asked to distinguish between your running mate’s views and Karl Marx’s rarely are. Head’s up via Ace of Spades: The interviewer is Barbara West, of Florida’s WFTV News. The interviewee is, of course, Senator Joe Biden, who graced us with his trademark… thoughts. Some points to consider, Senator: When you’re pushing back on the perfectly accurate | Read More »
There are times where “Joe Biden opens his mouth” is wholly inadequate as a tag. This is one of those times. Again, thanks for the help, Senator Biden. Moe Lane
I was under the impression that Biden’s job was to reassure American voters to go with the exceptionally inexperienced natsec pick. Not to let them know that he was going to not only be tested right off the bat, but that he would probably flunk: ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will | Read More »
They started off with the least serious one, so that offense may be mildly jovial: Some, of course, were just Biden being Biden. He smeared Dick Cheney as “the most dangerous vice president we’ve had probably in American history.” To which we must take specific offense: After all, the founder of this newspaper, Alexander Hamilton, was killed in a duel by then-Vice President Aaron Burr. | Read More »
Because there’s enough there for a couple of trilogies. Cruel, yet funny.
Biden’s certainly good at digging both him and his running mate in deeper and deeper, at least. Nice to see that the McCain campaign’s getting back onto a fast-response track. Well, it’s been a tough week and a half. (Cross-posted at Obama’s Con)
He’s going to need it: he’s got Nader talking about dressing up in a panda suit and looking for love (I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP), which is going to be hard to top. Anybody else, I’d say “impossible”… but it’s Joe Biden. I mean, last night he went out there and told a bunch of trial lawyers that McCain didn’t share their values (I | Read More »
[UPDATE below the fold.] OK, maybe Biden really doesn’t keep up with his own campaign’s positions, emails, videos, and just about everything else. It sounds insane, but then, so did this:
“Suppressing fire on the foredeck! Volley fire, then steady independent fire by sections! Pick your targets, aim low… steady… steady… steady…” “FIRE!“ “Get those cannons reloaded, damn your eyes!”
Joe Biden opens his mouth: WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden says that paying higher taxes is the patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans. As usual, the AP declines to mention that Obama’s tax hike will hit business owners – amusingly, this puts them ahead of Joe Biden, who was apparently unaware of the tax hike in the first place – | Read More »
But Jonah Goldberg’s made a darn interesting set of points here (via Jake Tapper): • Obama justified his entire bid against Hillary Clinton on the grounds that he had shown superior judgment by opposing the Iraq war. • Obama said over and over that we can’t have the same people in different chairs if we want real reform. • His ad mocking McCain makes much | Read More »
First off, go read Dahlia Lithwick’s rather tangled, contradictory, and quite unintentionally revealing advice to Senator Biden about how to debate Governor Palin. Done that? Excell… Yes, Lithwick really did think that Biden did well against Roberts, which is true, if you define “did well” as “spent all of your alloted time either talking, or complaining that you were running out of time.” Forget it, | Read More »
From the Perpetual Voluntary Mandatory Give Us Five Bucks Or The Universe Will Implode series of begging emails that will be spamming Democrats until, well, the universe implodes: But our victory in November will not be complete unless the DSCC can also deliver the filibuster-proof Senate majority that can end the obstruction and help us turn things around. This is the year we can pick-up | Read More »
