The New York Post is offended by Biden’s debate lies.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | October 4th at 09:56 AM |
They started off with the least serious one, so that offense may be mildly jovial: Some, of course, were just Biden being Biden. He smeared Dick Cheney as “the most dangerous vice president we’ve had probably in American history.” To which we must take specific offense: After all, the founder of this newspaper, Alexander Hamilton, was killed in a duel by then-Vice President Aaron Burr. | Read More »

New McCain/Palin ad: “Coal Miner”
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 24th at 01:42 PM |
Biden’s certainly good at digging both him and his running mate in deeper and deeper, at least. Nice to see that the McCain campaign’s getting back onto a fast-response track. Well, it’s been a tough week and a half. (Cross-posted at Obama’s Con)
I need a favor from Obama supporters.

The “Joe Biden [Bleep] The World!” Mid-week Speculative Open Thread.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 24th at 01:40 AM |
He’s going to need it: he’s got Nader talking about dressing up in a panda suit and looking for love (I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP), which is going to be hard to top. Anybody else, I’d say “impossible”… but it’s Joe Biden. I mean, last night he went out there and told a bunch of trial lawyers that McCain didn’t share their values (I | Read More »
Biden to Pennsylvania: No Coal for You!
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 23rd at 10:55 AM |
[UPDATE below the fold.] OK, maybe Biden really doesn’t keep up with his own campaign’s positions, emails, videos, and just about everything else. It sounds insane, but then, so did this:
Apparently, Obama actually *loathes* his VP pick.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 23rd at 12:28 AM |
Because what follows is shabby behavior on Obama’s, not least because it was largely unnecessary. It was also counterproductive: I was going to write something nice about Joe Biden in this space, until I read the followup. Given the general lack of interest in Biden as a candidate, having nice things written about him somewhere that Google can see it is nothing to sneeze at.
Distraction fire: Questioning Biden’s “Patriotism.”

Patriotic to pay higher taxes? You go first, Joe.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 18th at 08:29 AM |
Joe Biden opens his mouth: WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden says that paying higher taxes is the patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans. As usual, the AP declines to mention that Obama’s tax hike will hit business owners – amusingly, this puts them ahead of Joe Biden, who was apparently unaware of the tax hike in the first place – | Read More »
So, explain to me the wisdom of the Biden pick, again.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 16th at 06:37 AM |
But Jonah Goldberg’s made a darn interesting set of points here (via Jake Tapper): • Obama justified his entire bid against Hillary Clinton on the grounds that he had shown superior judgment by opposing the Iraq war. • Obama said over and over that we can’t have the same people in different chairs if we want real reform. • His ad mocking McCain makes much | Read More »

Beldar offers advice to Biden.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 9th at 09:53 AM |
First off, go read Dahlia Lithwick’s rather tangled, contradictory, and quite unintentionally revealing advice to Senator Biden about how to debate Governor Palin. Done that? Excell… Yes, Lithwick really did think that Biden did well against Roberts, which is true, if you define “did well” as “spent all of your alloted time either talking, or complaining that you were running out of time.” Forget it, | Read More »
Eagleton Watch?
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | September 8th at 11:04 PM |
Now that Joe Biden is rapidly becoming “Joe Who?” in this campaign, there’s some rampant speculation – with malice assuredly aforethought – about when/if Obama is going to pull an Eagleton – although I prefer the more up-to-date of phrase “to pull a Torricelli” – on this particular albatross{*}. Glenn Reynolds is skeptical that it would even happen. Patterico is down with the notion, but | Read More »

You can go see Senator Biden in a town hall! Yup, there are still tickets available: all you have to do is call ahead, wait until the office that has the tickets is open, go over to the office, wait until 9 AM and the tickets are available, fight through the rush to get the tickets, get the tickets, then drive really really fast on | Read More »
Joe Biden: “we can pick-up at least 11 Republican-held Senate seats.”

From the Perpetual Voluntary Mandatory Give Us Five Bucks Or The Universe Will Implode series of begging emails that will be spamming Democrats until, well, the universe implodes: But our victory in November will not be complete unless the DSCC can also deliver the filibuster-proof Senate majority that can end the obstruction and help us turn things around. A little thing, but at best a gaffe, and at worst a tacit admission: How Ben Porritt of the McCain campaign put it: “Barack Obama sounded as though he turned over the top spot on the ticket today to his new mentor, when he introduced Joe Biden as the next president. The reality is that nothing has changed since Joe Biden first made his assessment | Read More »

I suppose that Obama plans to wash Biden’s racialist sins away?
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 23rd at 12:29 PM |
And that they plan to have Obama formally forgive Biden for this: After a lengthy critique of Bush administration education policies, Biden attempted to explain why some schools perform better than others — in Iowa, for instance, compared with the District. “There’s less than 1 percent of the population of Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than 4 or 5 percent that | Read More »
