Administration on wrong side of CNN freedom of conscience poll.

Here is something that needs to be pointed out (as Hot Air did): this poll on the public reaction to the Obama’s administration’s attack on freedom of conscience is skewed toward the liberal position in at least two ways. First, it polls adults, which traditionally skews things a couple points towards the Democrats; second, it took place after the administration/mainstream media blitz touting Obama’s compromise. | Read More »
So, *which* Lynn Woolsey wants to use the IRS to go after the Catholic Church?
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | November 10th at 11:27 AM |
Via Jim Geraghty, and note that it’s the title to her article: Woolsey: IRS should look at bishops But I’m curious: which Rep. Lynn Woolsey (Democrat. Dem-o-crat.) wants to have the IRS investigate the Roman Catholic Church in response to the latter’s support of the Stupak Amendment? Is it the Rep. Lynn Woolsey (Democrat. Dem-o-crat.) who is the co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus? If | Read More »

The state’s Catholic bishops rallied opposition from the pulpits at weekend Masses. The law essentially would strip the | Read More »

It’s always exciting when a notorious heretic meets the Pope. Particularly this Pope, who is quietly gearing the Church up for a long-delayed showdown with American Catholics over abortion: Pope Benedict to meet Pelosi In a move likely to stoke more controversy about whether Catholic politicians who support abortion rights are in line with the church, Pope Benedict XVI has granted an audience to House | Read More »
Catholic Church to Democratic Party: FOCA’s a nonstarter.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | November 12th at 11:57 AM |
Via Hot Air, this wasn’t in itself news: Baltimore, MD(LifeNews.com) — Meeting on the second day of their annual conference, the nation’s Catholic bishops urged an aggressive campaign to oppose the pro-abortion bill expected to be the centerpiece of the Barack Obama administration. They also mentioned concerns about Catholic hospitals being forced to do abortions. So far, so unexceptional. But here’s the meat of the | Read More »
