Sarah Palin mesmerizes….

"I have a lot of authentic footage that shows who she really is. You can tell a lot about her from that. She really is one of us."

I found this link from a comment on HotAir.com

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3591532,00.html

An Isreali man who was living in Los Angeles, California. He is 52 and a former fighter pilot in Isreal. He went to alaska for the first time in 1983.

“I made it a point to come back to Alaska every three years or so, since. It’s a very hard country. The real final frontier. They have seven men for every woman, so I thought about making a film about women in Alaska. I did some research, and then I thought – ‘well, why focus only on Alaska? Why not focus on women worldwide and make a film about women empowerment?’”

I think he caught a little bit of “Palinmania” before most of us here on Redstate did. It is an exellent article and I highly recommend reading it all. I think that alot of people in america are going to like Sarah Palin once we get to know her more.

Iowahawk’s epic poem.

If you have never heard of Iowahawk check out his latest post. Fair warning, slightly crude language used but it’s used for humor.

I laughed out loud on several occasions reading his latest entry. I am sure most people have heard of this blog, but I wanted to share this with anyone who may not. Classic poetry describing (with extremely heavy doses of sarcasim) Obama’s rise to his current station in life. I don’t want to link any text and spoil it for anyone, so do yourself a favor and check it out. I promise you will atleast chuckle.

Why do Republicans have to hide in hollywood?

David Zucker is sick of it all.

This is a great read abut what conservatives in hollywood are going through. I think it is amazing that they have to creep around and have secret meeting for fear of their jobs or reputations. There are several memorable quotes in the article and I reccoment reading it all. (H/T HotAir)

This stood out at me as one of the best:

Eventually, the conversation turns from policy to punditry. Grammer, who is friends with Ann Coulter, says he quoted her once to some of the young people who work for him.

“‘Ann Coulter,’” he says, recalling their horror and assuming their voice. “‘She’s the antichrist.’ And I said: ‘What the f– do you know about the antichrist? You don’t even believe in Christ.’”

What has our country come to when it’s ok to say “Bush lied, people died” but if you say abortion is Murder you are a Facist?

It is ok to call our Military men and women murderers and baby-killers but if you say Gays shouldn’t get married you are a bigot?

If you think people should be responsible for their own private financial dealings you are a cold-hearted capitalist.

Our enemies overseas have the same consitutional rights as our servicemen fighting them according to our SCOTUS.

A sitting US politician can declare defeat in Iraq, or call our marines cold-blooded killers, or say on Record that he would vote against the stratedgy that won the war (even knowing after the fact that it WORKED), and our Media does nothing.

Self-sacrafice and brotherly love.

Another notation in the long list of reasons to revere our military.

This is an amazing story and I felt I had to share it. Link

L/Cpl Matthew Croucher will become part of a select of group of just 20 living George Cross holders when the Queen awards him the medal, which is given for acts showing the same level of heroism as the Victoria Cross.

Stories like this inspired me to join the Military. One thing about Service is, you never lack for Brothers, no matter where you are. People like this are what make freedom possible.

A temporary cure for the blues.

or, what we should all do once in a while.

I saw this and it cheered me up instantly. This doesn’t have anything to do with politics. This is just an example of the one thing that every person on the planet has in common. Laughter is contagious

I get a little freaked out once in a while when I read about some of the things happening in our country. Sometimes it seems like I am witnessing the end of a Golden age. Then I remember that someone, somewhere, has been predicting the end of a golden age, or some imminent disaster for all of history. The funny thing is, it hasn’t happened. Life has downturns, sure, but it always seems to get better eventually.

So take some time out and remember this: No matter what culture or language or ideaology a person adheres to, we all have a silly laugh. Everyone has this one thing in common.

A vote for McCain is a vote for racisim.

Thats what Govenor Paterson thinks.

“Mr. Paterson, who supported Senator Clinton throughout her campaign and was a Clinton super-delegate before endorsing Mr. Obama after Mrs. Clinton conceded, cast the presidential race in stark racial terms, saying its outcome would decide whether the nation could finally move beyond its legacy of slavery and segregation.”

this is from:

http://www.nysun.com/new-york/paterson-obama-defeat-would-be-victory-for-racism/82115/?print=0076236121

Does anyone else think that it is funny that Mr. Paterson voted against Obama untill Hillary left the race, then claims racisim if Obama is not elected president?

“Can America go past the crippling way that we’ve shot ourselves in the foot over and over, denying opportunity to people who are bright, to people who are qualified, to people who are able because they didn’t look like us, or they didn’t come from where we came from, or they are from a different gender, or they are from the African continent? Can America push that away and find new leadership? We’ll find out in the next few months what America can do.”

Well, he voted for someone who didn’t look like him. He voted for someone who came from a different place than he came from. He voted for someone of a different Gender. Hillary isn’t from Africa “as far as I know”.

So why do I have to Vote for Obama, just to prove I’m not racist? I reject this idea completely.
