Erick Erickson on Hannity Last Night

Congratulations to Erick who was on Hannity last night.  The blond who appeared with him and Juan WIlliams was a littel dizzy but I was glad to see Erick.  It shows that this site is becoming a good source for the dissemination of information to conservatives who can’t get the truth from the main stream sources.  Keep up the good work Erick and the rest of the regulars at this site need to bring more people on board.  Good job Red State.

I would like to see all RS bloggers on Hannity's show

I could do without the libs – I know Hannity has them on for entertainment purposes but they add nothing to the debate except to show how shallow their gene pool is.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

So would we

Could let us know in advance when you are going to be on shows? I usually can catch Hannity’s radio show, but missed his guest list. Haven’t been watching much t.v. lately. You are a modest soul, but we like to see our esteemed leader make the ‘big time.’ So…

Erick - do you talk to the libs

Before the show or during the breaks? Are most of them as clueless as they appear on TV? I know when I talk to my lib friends they all throw down the same old tired talking points.

Most of my lib friends

are either unaware of the political scene, willfully ignorant (talking points types), or start from the wrong premises. Most of those who are willing to examine their premises have become conservative, or at least, more conservative.

I think that the fact that conservatives are willing to examine their own ideas, and have a built-in critical audience in the media, has helped them to constantly examine and re-examine their ideas. If you look at Barack Obama’s platform, it reads like the wishlist of a 1960s radical. OTOH, when you look at Republican policy, you’ll see significant changes, whether economic (from undistilled classicalism to monetarism and free trade) or military (from the realist school to neo-conservative views). Social conservatism is, of course, a movement that continues to evolve (not in ways that are beneficial, IMO, but that’s another story ;) ), perhaps moreso than any of the other segments that make up conservatism. Yet they claim to be the true liberals.
