Dunbar Village Gang Rape

You may wonder what this topic has to do with the Red State site?  I was in a Palm Beach County courtroom on Friday and was able to hear the most incredible story of love and courage and I thought that I would share it with you.  In case you didn’t hear this story and don’t about it, I warn you that it is  an horrific, disgusting account of the most brutal attack that ever taken place in this country.  It left me wondering whether we have finally slipped over the dark edge into a world of chaos.

The attack took place in a govenment run housing project.  A 17 year old knocked on the door of a woman who had just gotten home with her 12 year old son after a day of working delivering telephone books.  The 17 year old had a gun.  He forced his way into the apartment and then opened the door for nine other gang members who after ripping the phones from the walls proceeded to rape and torture this poor woman for over two and a half hours.  The end finally coming after the woman was forced to engage her 12 year old son in sexual acts.

I have tried to describe this as delicately as possible because the actual events were so horrifying that any normal reaction should be “stop I don’t want to hear that.”  Only I sat there, in the courtroom with tears streaming down my face as I listened to this poor woman.  She spoke of such terror and such unspeakable violations of her home, of her body, of her child.  I thanked God for my own life and prayed that He grant her mercy in hers.

It was reported in the news, of course, never a mention that these teens were black youths, all from a disintegrated remnant of a family, not that that excuses barbaric behavior.  Instead, it was reported as if this is what we can expect in society today, that this is just another bunch of kids getting into trouble, that we somehow must understand that it’s just part of our culture.  WELL I DON’T UNDERSTAND!  I DON’T ACCEPT THAT IT IS EXPECTED!  I DON’T CHALK IT UP TO POOR KIDS GETTING INTO TROUBLE!

This was as disgraceful as anything that happened in Rwanda and it happened five mile from one of the richest towns in our country.  The message is not that we must understand these poor children or see them as cultural victims.  The message is that we have lost our children, at least a certain group of our children.  There shall be no mercy for them except that our Supreme Court in its lack of wisdom has found that death is not proper punishment for capital crimes where the victim survives.  Have we lost our backbone?  Has the rod that we placed in the socially experimented closet now come back to strike us?

If we are relegated to talk then we must speak with force.  Our schools have unfortunately have rendered talk impotent.  When you talk to your children about music and entertainment tell them that messages that subjugate women into objects are anti-christian, anti-american and just simply immoral.  Instead of awarding with grammies and rewarding with obscene dollars we should be chastising and ostracizing these cultural parasites.  Yet, with each dollar the entertainment industry generates another cultural value is compromised until finally we ask ourselves,  ”so what is torture anyway?  Is it pouring water in the mouth of a terrorist?  What about pouring ammonia inside a woman to burn away the DNA evidence?

God help us!  How low can we sink?

to the very bottom! It is that bottom that I hope a new day dawns when EXCUSES no longer are accepted that right and wrong are felt in the very souls of those who do wrong. Liberalism has destroyed the very fabric of our country by engaging in the slaughter of innocence. It is the slow creeping acceptance of abortion, pornography, violence as “mainstream” that has destroyed this nation. I remember when a unmarried pregnant woman was embarrassed to be so but now it is celebrated on every magazine cover from coast to coast. The dehumanization of women in the “mainstream” as nothing but sexual objects to be used and then thrown away (thank you N.O.W.).

I see a new day dawning when this country returns to its Conservative roots and liberalism is rejected for the foul ideology that it is.

women in our society. A culture that supports anything goes, bare all and then some, has not only coarsened, but cheapened everything associated with womanhood. Morstar’s comment:
“every dollar the entertainment industry generates is another cultural value compromised” is the sickening reality.

We supposedly would be horrified if this was happening in a third world country, but not here. The MSM helps in permitting these atrocious acts to be covered up.

We are being buried under the moral decay.

it is obvious to anyone paying attention the moral decline of our country. I truly feel that the bottom has been reached and we have no where to go but up! I have real HOPE (not Obama’s political hope) that this country is turning a corner and I think you saw it and felt it in DC as well. There is nothing like a million plus people whereby 90% of attendee’s never protested a day in their life to give one the sense of CHANGE. I look forward to a return to value’s and responsibility because liberalism in all its filthy disgusting ideology is on full display for Americans to see for the first time in over 20 years. American’s forgot and the young never knew how repulsive it was and so know they do :)

I don’t blame the media or MSM for this. It’s the judicial system that will give these monsters a hand slap and send them to “treatment” for a year if anything. I would bet this isn’t the first time they sexually assaulted someone. The same system keeps many many cases like this out of the court room too.

Cases like this go on a lot and they very little if anything is done to the offenders. This is one I bring up a lot but children in state care often experience a lot of sexual assault and very little if anything is done. Most are not even investigated. It seems like the younger the child the more the system looks the other way. This one probably got to where it was because an adult was assaulted. I’ve heard it has to do with the difficulty of getting a conviction but then why are the ones that do get to the point of being convicted given such light punishment.

As horrible as the music is, listening to a song about abusing women does not make people walk into a house and rape a family. Coming from a bad family doesn’t cause people to do that either. They offenders are evil and have chosen that path out of the evilness in their hearts. Blaming music or lack of parents is excusing it to their circumstances instead of the choices they made to hurt someone else.

The judicial system will look the other way and will give them a hand slap. This is everyone the police taking the report to the laywers on each side who prefer lets make a deal l instead of going for a jury trial. They have a mindset to have sympathy for the montsters to get “treatment” instead of seeing of punishment and keeping society safe from them. I don’t understand why these crimes aren’t punishment severly when things like drug crimes or auto theft or property theft get prison. It’s crazy that a rapists are walking around while others that cheated on their taxes or had a lot of cocaine on them or sold a cop a controlled substance are in prison.

When I first heard of this incident i was disgusted as you are. There is no place or tolerance for this in a moral society. We can only hope that parents will try and instill morality to their children. Yes the media has turned a blind eye to helping parents accomplish a moral goal for the most part. The responsibility still lies with the individuals.

Just a side note to this story. Fortunately, the judges in this case are good people, not the Vermont type judge who placed a pedifile on probation. These animals will be in jail for the rest of their lives. I just wonder why it is so easy to corrupt my children, with drugs, with violence, with disrepect of common decency, with the immorality of a decadent media culture.

The fault lies first with a “village” mentality that says it is okay to father a child without any consequences. For goodness sake even the lowly earthworm can reproduce that’s not an accomplishment it is an act. It takes a real man to be a father; it takes a decent person to be a mother and it takes just one mistake to perpetuate the problem. It’s not that hard to be a grown up and exercise responsibility. I am so sick and tired of the excuses and the common denominator of low expectations. Our schools quite frankly…

    finish it yourself.

That is a major cause of the degradation of our general American culture. Hollywood and the liberals infiltrated everywhere have caused two things: acceptance of a loose, decadent , sexually driven public persona and 2) minimizing crimes and punishment across the board, for decades. Since the media /newspapers do not publish the real stories and facts, and thus put into the public consciousness how bad these crimes are, they have been instrumental in bringing us to this state of affairs.

The real issue is acceptance in our society of heinous crimes. The bleeding heart liberals have made the bad guys into the victims and the victims become the bad guys. If no one proclaims the moral outrage, there isn’t any. IMO, people have forgotten the definition of same.
