I am stunned by the announcement of Dede Scozzafava that she is dropping out the race in NY’s 23rd. I think the last straw was the endorsement of Doug Hoffman by George Pataki. Pataki has never been considered a right of center Republican much less a Conservative. In New York, however, the political game is a little more complex.

New York is one of the few states that allows other parties to hold a line in voting booth. It’s not unusual for a Republican to court the Conservative party line. The election totals add the votes that candidate garners on all party lines. Al D’Amato, George Pataki, and Rudy Gulianni all won with their names on the Conservative party line as our friend Erick has already pointed out.

http://www.redstate.com/erick/2009/10/27/what-of-pataki-damato-and-guiliani/

Now, with Dede out it allows us red state bulldogs to wonder. Is the tide finally turning? Have the moderates finally taken notice that they cannot survive without us? Time will only tell. Our message is winning out and that message is one that resonates with voters. The time is now to step up our efforts.

Hoffman is now the choice of both Conservatives AND Republicans. It’s just peculiar how the Republicans are all falling into line.

You may wonder what this topic has to do with the Red State site? I was in a Palm Beach County courtroom on Friday and was able to hear the most incredible story of love and courage and I thought that I would share it with you. In case you didn’t hear this story and don’t about it, I warn you that it is an horrific, disgusting account of the most brutal attack that ever taken place in this country. It left me wondering whether we have finally slipped over the dark edge into a world of chaos.

The attack took place in a govenment run housing project. A 17 year old knocked on the door of a woman who had just gotten home with her 12 year old son after a day of working delivering telephone books. The 17 year old had a gun. He forced his way into the apartment and then opened the door for nine other gang members who after ripping the phones from the walls proceeded to rape and torture this poor woman for over two and a half hours. The end finally coming after the woman was forced to engage her 12 year old son in sexual acts.

I have tried to describe this as delicately as possible because the actual events were so horrifying that any normal reaction should be “stop I don’t want to hear that.” Only I sat there, in the courtroom with tears streaming down my face as I listened to this poor woman. She spoke of such terror and such unspeakable violations of her home, of her body, of her child. I thanked God for my own life and prayed that He grant her mercy in hers.

It was reported in the news, of course, never a mention that these teens were black youths, all from a disintegrated remnant of a family, not that that excuses barbaric behavior. Instead, it was reported as if this is what we can expect in society today, that this is just another bunch of kids getting into trouble, that we somehow must understand that it’s just part of our culture. WELL I DON’T UNDERSTAND! I DON’T ACCEPT THAT IT IS EXPECTED! I DON’T CHALK IT UP TO POOR KIDS GETTING INTO TROUBLE!

This was as disgraceful as anything that happened in Rwanda and it happened five mile from one of the richest towns in our country. The message is not that we must understand these poor children or see them as cultural victims. The message is that we have lost our children, at least a certain group of our children. There shall be no mercy for them except that our Supreme Court in its lack of wisdom has found that death is not proper punishment for capital crimes where the victim survives. Have we lost our backbone? Has the rod that we placed in the socially experimented closet now come back to strike us?

If we are relegated to talk then we must speak with force. Our schools have unfortunately have rendered talk impotent. When you talk to your children about music and entertainment tell them that messages that subjugate women into objects are anti-christian, anti-american and just simply immoral. Instead of awarding with grammies and rewarding with obscene dollars we should be chastising and ostracizing these cultural parasites. Yet, with each dollar the entertainment industry generates another cultural value is compromised until finally we ask ourselves, ”so what is torture anyway? Is it pouring water in the mouth of a terrorist? What about pouring ammonia inside a woman to burn away the DNA evidence?

God help us! How low can we sink?

Yesterday I was horrified to see the media clips of the Scottish government’s release of Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi, the convicted terrorist of Pan Am flight 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland. Apparently, officials in Scotland were over-whelmed with compassion for the murdering scoundrel because he is dying of prostate cancer. The jubilant celebrations upon the arrival of the mass murderer in Libya were stark in contrast to the morose resignations of the victims. Apparently, Scottish compassion doesn’t extend its reach to the innocent victims and their family as they watched this killer walk away from justice after a mere eight years in prison.

I came across this article yesterday written by Frances Rice the Chairwoman of the National Black Republican Association. I recommend that everyone read the article but also that you look into the NBRA. It is an organization that is unswayed by political expediency. It is an organization that will not forget the diabolical deeds of the Democrat Party. And it is an organization that makes no excuses for… well just read and make up your mind.

THE PALIN SAGA – DEMOCRATS WINNING BY ANY MEANS

By Frances Rice

“Why Sarah Palin Quit: The Five Best Explanations” by Jay Newton-Small quotes Alaska state legislators who lay the blame at the door of the Democrats. Quoted is Alaska State Senator Gene Therriault, a Republican representing the town of North Pole who said: “We started seeing a proliferation of ethics complaints against her. It was an orchestrated effort to take her down”. That article can be found on the Internet at: http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1908800,00.html

Governor Sarah Palin’s surprising resignation announcement in the face of the horrific treatment she received from Democrats and their media allies struck within me a familiar cord. Although Palin’s abuse was mental harassment inflicted through public humiliation via spoken and written words and mounting debt from frivolous ethics charges, she was nonetheless effectively hounded out of public office. This brought to mind the sinister tactics used by Democrats against Republicans after the American Civil War that freed blacks from slavery.

Determined to keep blacks in virtual slavery after losing the Civil War, Democrats set about the task of ending Reconstruction and driving out of the South all Republicans, a result that kept blacks at the mercy of ruthless Democrats for over 100 years.

The facts about the horrors inflicted upon Republicans by Democrats are laid bare in the books “A Short History of Reconstruction” by Dr. Eric Foner and “Unfounded Loyalty” by Wayne Perryman.

The meticulous research by Foner and Perryman uncovered inhumanity by Democrats so startling as to seem surreal. Democrats, Perryman wrote, used every means possible to destroy Reconstruction including lynching, whippings, murder, intimidation, assassinations and mutilations.

Foner exposed how the Ku Klux Klan, that was founded in 1866 as a Tennessee social club and became the terrorist arm of the Democrat Party, spread into nearly every Southern state, launching a “reign of terror” against Republican leaders, black and white. The Klan lynched over 2,000 black Republicans and 1,000 white Republicans.

In a chilling passage Foner wrote: “Jack Dupree, a victim of a particularly brutal murder in Monroe County, Mississippi - assailants cut his throat and disemboweled him, all within sight of his wife, who had just given birth to twins - was ‘president of a republican club‘ and known as a man who ‘would speak his mind’” .

Sarah Palin is a woman who speaks her mind. She is a decent and honorable citizen who loves her family and country. Palin was subjected to a high-tech lynching by Democrats and their media minions because she had the audacity to be a Republican elected official and an apparent great political threat to the Democratic Party’s ruling elite.

For nearly a century, most blacks were aligned with the Republican Party and, thereby, posed a significant threat to the Democratic Party’s quest for power. Terror was used by Democrats for 100 years and monetary handouts for the past 50 years to mold blacks into reliable pawns in the Democratic Party’s political power game. It is ironic that the Democratic Party is now led by President Barack Obama, a black man who unabashedly helps Democrats keep blacks corralled on the Democratic Party’s economic plantation, voting mindlessly for any politician identified as a Democrat.

America, how did we come to the point where we are all held in the Democratic Party’s iron grip of fear of being destroyed personally, as was Sarah Palin, while the Democrats work feverishly to make us economic slaves?

A mock liberal rant, “I Still Hate You, Sarah Palin - The Republicans bring a knife to a gunfight, and lose again” by David Kahane presents a hysterical tirade against Palin by a fictional Democratic Party operative. A comparison of Kahane’s feigned scorn with the real hatred directed at Palin by Democrats shows that his article is close to reality. That article can be found on the Internet at:

At a time when political contributions are weak the Republican Party of Florida headed by Jim Greer wants to limit candidates in the primaries. But that begs the question, is that to save money or save the election for his favorites?

Jim Greer a controversial party chief to say the least would have a hard time convincing the party faithful that he is going frugal. Last year he was called out by many Republicans for his over-the-top spending on jets, cigars, spa treatments, and just the usual “party” spending. Now it appears that he’s going to tighten his belt. He’s going to show us that he has the Party’s best intentions in mind.

To prove it he’s working on a plan where the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) will endorse certain candidates that are more “electable” than others so that precious campaign funds would not be wasted. The only problem with that plan is that apparently he’s the one who will decide electability. Certainly Charlie Crist is more electable than Marco Rubio considering that Jim Greer got his State position through Charlie Crist. And why would we as Republicans subject ourselves to the election process to determine electability when we could have our “party” chief decide for us?

“Greer has poven to be a useless waste of political space. We all know of his lack of support for Republican candidates last year. Chairman Greer couldn’t even send a letter of support for anyone. He is simply useless.” Writes Javier Manjarres of Red County. http://www.redcounty.com/florida-gop-circus-may-be-losing-bozo-clown-congress

Now I’m not sure I would use those words since I try to live by the Regan mantra of “speak no evil of your Republican opponent.” However, I am not sure I would be as gracious as Ronnie if I were Alan West.

Alan West is a former Lieutenant Colonel in the Army who after dedicating his life to serving his country retired and again committed to serving his country by running for congress. Last year he ran against a freshman Democrat congressman and got no support from the RPOF and Jim Greer to the dismay of Alan West’s supporters. http://www.allenwestforcongress.com/about_allen.php

It leaves one wondering is it the party funds he’s trying to save or particular candidates?

There is a movement in place to “remake who we are as Republicans.” It began after the disatrous presidential election where the Republican candidate got hooked on the ploy that the Democrat candidate was going to change the tone in Washington. Remember the “there’s no Republican or Democrat America, no black or white America, only one America.” And “we going to reach accross the aisle and change the way things are done in Washington.” While John McCain was flapping around caught like a little sunny on a fish hook of nonsense he chose as his running mate a woman who didn’t play that game, who doesn’t fall for the lies. He couldn’t keep her from throwing granades across the aisle and in the end she was the stronger candidate.

Being a U.S. Senator and knowing how to work with U.S. Pravda (my term for the media), McCain used his operatives to trash Sarah. He didn’t understand that she had her finger on the pulse of the grassroots Republican. She understood the issues that get us all riled up. Of course she is not as sophiticated as those who attend the presidential gala at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, ah but what commoner has that level sophistication?

Then we have the “Remaking Conferences” those made for Pravda events that reiterate the downfall of the Republican Party. Those party sucide conferences explore the possibility that conservative thought is a wanning idea. We must learn to accept illegal immigrants, accept government over-spending, accept the one world economy based on socialism, but called it social-lite, as if it were a beer product that was better for you. They trot out the new faces of the Republican Party, Jeb Bush, and Bobby Jindal, and Eric Cantor, and Governor Mark Sanford, oops!

Then Pravda U.S. gets to analyze what it is that is needed to “make the Republican Party meaningful again?” If I have to listen to Chis Matthews, a former staff member of a Democrat President and possible Democrat candidate for Senate, tell me what I need to know as a Republican I am going to vomit. Yet, this is who gets the “time” as talking heads on the idiot tube. Even the so called Republican pundants can’t speak without choking on their feet. Carl Rove, Joe Scarborough, Peggy Noonan and their talking head ilk, are quick to grab pay for their uninteresting and uninfromed opinions. Maybe they get their ideas at the cocktail parties at the Kennedy Center they certainly don’t get them from republican parties. There’s only one thing they can do to help “remake’ the Republican Party” JUST SHUT UP!!!

We Republicans understand that the media in the United States is not an exercise in free speech it is a pattern of propaganda that repeats the same tire old mantras of social-progressive thought. It’s better not to participate in it so that they may fail, and they are failing. How long can they prop up Obermann and his fifteen viewers? If you want to exchange thoughts on politics this web site is a much better forum than the Cable News shows that cater to the American Idol crowd. This site needs to grow.

We need to get writers in each state to contribute their thoughts, to exchange ideas, to rally the cause, to enlighten others about up-and-comers within the party. I am from Florida. I will commit to this site every day. How about you? Look for the Florida tag line. I’ll see you here.

We don’t need to remake the party, we just have to get the message out. Because in the end, our message is better than theirs.

Is Sue Lowden a good candidate? She certainly is smarter than Dirty Harry, and a much more pleasant person. What do you think?

I love this lady. She has more guts than the entire Republican Caucus in Congress. She is vilified constantly and her family is ridiculed and humiliated. Yet, she stands tall and claims the one banner that no smug so-called journalist can snatch from her — mom.

But it’s not simply motherhood that makes her special it is the very essence of Sarahood that rises to such a leftist curdling annoyance. She is a mother who is proud to be a mother. She is a woman who tells other woman not to kill unborn children. She is exactly who the National Organization for Women should be fighting for except that she is pro-life and pro-marriage. She is the super-woman that Gloria Steinam wrote about but she has her own thoughts AND THEY CAN’T STAND IT!!!

That is why she is chastised. If she would only say that a woman has a right to choose… If she would only say that marriage is for anyone couple who’s in love… If she would only said that Katie Couric is a journalist and not a moring talk show host… IF she would only be what NOW and the controlled media want her to be than we could ALL love her.

But for now, only those who love exactly who she is can feel for her. Only those who are insulted and disgusted by idiots who think it is alright to ridicule mentally handicapped children, or joke about the rape of our young daughters can understand her. Only those who are tired of seeing and hearing and reading the single sided media propaganda can hope that this is not over. Please Sarah, say it ain’t so.
