Lynn Sweet posted some interesting information on her blog today. It turns out that Barack Obama’s campaign is charging a hefty penny for election night coverage. Maybe this is how he plans to fund the one trillion dollars in additional government spending.
FROM THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN….
The following coverage resource packages are available for purchase:

- Radio Position - $715 (includes table space and chair behind the riser, power and an ISDN BRI line for radio — comes with two credentials)
I’m assuming that all campaigns charge a fee for these services, but isn’t this a little hypocritical coming from the person who promotes the politics of hope and change? As Sweet says, this is just an attempt for the elite media with the deeper pockets to get the best access while journalists from the smaller publications/networks get screwed over.
Man, if he’s charging this much for press access on election night, can you even imagine what the inauguration will be like?
