Sometimes we get so caught up in politcis that we put aside the fact that the people we either support strongly or oppose with every last breath are human beings just like us.
I just saw on CNN.com that Dick Durbin’s daughter passed away earlier today. Even though we disagree with Durbin on pretty much all of the political issues, no parent should have to bury their child, and this is no doubt a tragic day. Please send the Durbins, her widow, and her son your prayers.

Part of the article from The Chicago Tribune: “Christine Durbin died in a Washington, D.C.-area hospital from complications relating to a congenital heart condition. She had been hospitalized for several weeks, Durbin spokesman Joe Shoemaker said. “
She was 40 years old and fought heart disease all her life.
No parent should ever have to face this and no person should ever have to fight for life like this.
If anyone hears of a fund being set up in her name with the Heart Association or other good charities, please post it here.
God bless those who work to stop diseases and can one day soon take away family tragedies like this one.
