That’s Funny! In Arkansas, Democrats Are Pro-Gun Rights And Against Background Checks
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | June 3rd at 05:33 PM |
This is truly bizarre. The Democratic Party, which pushed hard for so-called universal background checks last winter, has reversed their position in Arkansas. After all, the pro-gun control camp again failed miserably, and the president wasted the most precious moments of his second term on this bad piece of legislation. Did the Democrats learn their lesson? No. Yet, are you surprised? No. If anything, Democrats are | Read More »
Here’s Something New: An Abortion Phone App
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | June 3rd at 05:16 PM |
In New York City, the mecca of soda bans, an abortion is just a phone app away. Yes, that’s right. There’s a phone app for finding an abortion clinic. Thus, in a city where 40% of pregnancies end in abortion, it’s keeping its tradition as a bastion of infanticide. Penny Starr at CNS News reported on May 28 that: The New York City Health Department’s NYC teen website now | Read More »

Gov. Rick Perry Vetoes Law That Targeted Conservatives
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | May 31st at 11:36 AM |
For a state that takes pride in the individualistic roots of its history, it’s puzzling that the Texas legislature would consider passing a law that infringes upon the right to free speech. The state legislature, which has Republican majorities in both houses, has passed a law mandating that ”non-profit organizations and trade associations to disclose the names of the people who support them financially. The law | Read More »
Markey’s Tax Fetish
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | May 29th at 10:46 AM |
Ed Markey has a tax fetish. It’s a serious problem. He voted 271 times for tax increases as a congressman, and in a time where more small business are firing than hiring, he’s sure to continue that trend on a national level. Keeping the tradition as a New England liberal, Markey has yet to find a tax increase he doesn’t like.

DSCC Attacks Possible Challenger To Sen. Mark Pryor Over…Iran???
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | May 28th at 07:47 PM |
What do you do when you have no heavyweight candidates in any key senate races for next year? You go on a rather cantankerous rant against candidates who may, or may not, be running. In Arkansas, where Democrats are defending the highly vulnerable Sen. Mark Pryor, the DSCC has done just that, with a rather comical attack on Republican Congressman Tom Cotton over Iran. On | Read More »
Teachers Target Forced Union Dues In California
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | May 28th at 11:04 AM |
In the People’s Republic of California, ten teachers are suing over forced union dues. With Unions engaging in political activity, these teachers feel that adhering to so-called “agency shop laws” violates their constitutional rights to free speech. Even if teachers disagree with their union, or their political activities, they still have to fork over cash. The Center for Individual Rights (CIR), who has taken their | Read More »
SHHH! DOJ Appealed Federal Court To Keep James Rosen Investigation Secret
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | May 24th at 06:13 PM |
Ryan Lizza at the New Yorker, who’s been doing some great reporting on the government’s monitoring of Fox News’ James Rosen, has a new bombshell development that nicely compliments Holder’s alleged perjury: the DOJ tried to keep the search secret. Lizza wrote today that the Obama administration argued that the warrant be kept secret since they would need to monitor Rosen’s private emails for an extended period of time. | Read More »
Eric Holder Personally Signed Warrant To Search James Rosen’s Emails
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | May 24th at 10:30 AM |
So, Attorney General Holder personally signed off on the warrant to search James Rosen’s emails. Rosen, a Fox News journalist, was targeted by the administration in 2009 in possible connection to a leak in the State Department over his story about North Korea. After this revelation, the DOJ seized Rosen’s phone records, personal emails, and even looked into his parents’ phone records. Holder has recused himself during | Read More »
White House Chief of Staff Knew About IRS Targeting Last Month
By: Matt Vespa (Diary) | May 22nd at 11:32 AM |
The Obama administration’s Hans Schultz strategy is wearing thin. The “I Know Nothing” approach to these scandals has only exacerbated the problem. So, concerning the IRS, what did the president know, and when did he know it? Yes, it’s a throwback to Sen. Howard Baker’s famous question during Watergate, which Rick Moran cited in his May 17 post. We don’t know yet, but it seems White House Chief | Read More »
