The redistricting argument is a scare tactic by people with no other argument for their candidate. Redistricting in Georgia will be ultimately decided by the courts, not Roy Barnes or even the Republican-controlled legislature.

Once again Party over Principle is being preached to conservative voters. Also, the use of fear to get them to fall in line.
A lot of information in this post is simply not true. Those of us who were around when Perot ran and took the time to actually look at where his votes came from, most were independents and only slightly more right than left. The GOP always blames others for their losses or troubles... when the fact is they put themselves in situatuations to fail, yet don't want to take responsibility.
As for the Governors race in GA, again the poster is selling a raw bill of goods. The polls that have provided the crosstabs, show that John Monds is getting most of his support from the young and independents, and pulling more from the left than right.
As for ballot access, those of us also old enough to remember when the Dems were in charge of the state the GOP promised to reduce or get rid of the restrictive ballot access laws if the libertarians would help them get control of the state... we did, they didn't.
The lesson here is it's hard to listen to the GOP due to their lost credibility. They preach they believe in the free market, but their actions prove otherwise, even in the market ideas. I'll be voting for the best candidate on Nov 2nd, without fear. I'll be voting John Monds.

Georgia has a runoff law, so it doesn't matter if the Libertarians get 1 percent or 31 percent, voting for them won't hurt the Republican in the least. Republicans pretty much always win the runoffs, so the Libertarian presence on the ballot is nothing but helpful to Republicans, quite frankly the best result that could happen would be if the Libertarian actually did get 20 percent of the vote to make sure they'd always be on the ballot, because every vote they take makes it that much more likely that a given race will go to a runoff, which is just a huge advantage for our side. Of course everybody likes to just win it straight out in one go, but it doesn't matter if you win it on election day or a few weeks after in a runoff, a win's a win, and our chances of winning go up if there's a runoff. So while yes, in any other state there would be the worry of 'splitting the vote' and letting the Democrat win, but not in Georgia, thanks to their runoff law the Libertarian party is absolutely nothing but helpful to Republican chances of victory.

Is there any evidence that the Libertarians will pull off more than 2%?

If not, this is what they're always like in every election--it's just they never get any attention for it.
