Obama no likey, so they fired him and replaced him with an ObamaBot who will see to it the show dies, immediately after showing "proper respect" for Dear Leader.

I originally watched last week because I liked the original mini-series from the 80's.

When I saw and heard the reference to "universal health care," I thought it was a direct challenge to Obama, which shocked me coming from a mainstream network like Charlie Gibson's ABC.

The more I thought about it, the more it seemed to be an indictment of our entire culture. While I didn't really think much about the religious angle you mentioned, I picked up on the "they're all attractive" line as commentary on our cultural obsession with physical beauty.

I especially liked the sub-plot about Chad Decker as representative of journos in general - more concerned with their own careers that they are with truth-telling.

Overall, I was impressed with V - on both an entertainment level and a commentary level. I can;t wait to see where it goes from here.
