Me: I hear Obama just signed the bill.

SJOGC: Oh? I haven’t been following the news too much.

Me: Yes, it was signed. I saw the photo on the internet.

SJOGC: Yeah, “WELL, AT LEAST THEY DID SOMETHING”

Me: ::thinking:: Huh, sounds like the SJOGC doesn’t think the bill is going to rocket her into nirvana…Then I said, yeah, kind of an anticlimax because nothing, other than potential tax increases on high earners and capital gains, will happen until 2014.

SJOGC: Well I think that some good stuff is happening right away, such as extending insurance up to 26 years old and pre-existing coverage.

Just wait till the word gets out about the pre-existing coverage thingy…

Activists Taking Action: Unified Patriots

Since this poll story evoked the “Anti-Christ/Repture” thing: A lefty acquaintance emailed me an article about an atheist who started a business selling “pet sanctuary assurances” to Christians, whereby atheists would collect and take care of their pets should the owners be “Raptured.” The article ran, ostensibly I thought, in Business Week and claimed the business owner/atheist had signed up “about 100″ clients paying $100 each plus $15 per additional pet, for the atheist’s promise to take care of the clients’ pets if/when the Rapture occurred.

I assumed it was a spoof, and after several days of trying to check it out (got a bit of run-around from Bloomberg/Business Week), found out the on-line mag did actually run the story as a legitimate business-start-up article. I think they were had by an imaginative atheist, but in any event they did publish it.

Seriously though, I saw yet another article by a self-described conservative lamenting “name calling”. You see, the misguided progressives pushing for a government takeover of all human activity are mistaken but well meaning. They shouldn’t be called Radical Marxists, Socialists or Communists. They are patriotic Americans with a different view of how society should look. BULL EXCREMENT.

A case could be made the original Progressives a century ago were naive about the results of collectivism.. After a century of the worst misery inflicted upon the human race in recorded history, that case doesn’t hold water. No one can possibly be stupid enough to believe Marxist redistribution will improve the lives of anyone given the miserable failure in dozens of attempts. In one country after another, whether brutal totalitarian or Social Democracy, everyone’s life is made worse—with the sole exception of the rulers who do quite well.

In my opinion, Obama is worse than Hitler or Stalin. Both of them tried to destroy the USA and failed. Obama has done more damage to the USA in 14 months than either of those monsters.

Around 7:01 this morning I happened to be at MacDonald’s where the TV offered FOX News. Blondie Bubblehead was reporting a non-story about “death threats” to Dems, who voted for Hell-th Care, and used a voicemail to Bart Stupid Stupak to demonstrate “what they’re dealing with.”

A woman’s voice came on to describe Stupak as a “a human piece of BEEP” and then went on to warn him that “millions of Americans wish you ill.”

End of example of a “death threat” and “what the Democrats have to deal with.”.

The people watching at McDonald’s roared: “Wish you ill?! That’s it?!”

was not a Tea Party member as it will be painted. The sentiment was not a threat, but this is on par with how our treasured older citizens feel and say.

It has been my experience that people scream, cry, throw a fit and generally accuse others of being mean when others tell the truth. Especially Democrats, they would rather you tell a lie about them.

The Daily Mail has the same poll on Drudge, but the headline only reports what Republican think about Obama. That is solely because the Democrats divorced themselves from the Bible a long time ago and don’t know what it means when their messiah says, “hey, we’re all friends here, just call me Baal.”
