Last we looked at the national polling, it was effectively a three way tie in the Republican race, with Rick Perry bringing up the rear. Now it looks like as this week has gone on, Newt Gingrich has continued to rise at Herman Cain’s expense.

Rick Perry had better get fed up fast with his polling situation. As I warned on Tuesday, he’s teetering at the brink of irrelevance. This is Herman Cain’s moment. The new Fox News poll only confirms the CBS poll.
Fox: A new look at Herman Cain

Today’s been the single biggest polling day in my estimation since the 2010 elections. Three major releases all containing interesting data. The third and most surprising of those comes from Fox News, which shows Herman Cain not just in third place, but taking a top-tier position usually held in recent weeks by Michele Bachmann or Ron Paul.

We need real, useful primary polling
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | June 30th at 08:00 AM |
So Fox News put out a new poll of the race for the Republican Presidential nomination. It’s a typical poll in many ways, but Fox’s bit of analysis got me to thinking: Polls like this favor frontrunners and likely skew the race.
