The state of the race before the Debate
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 13th at 06:00 AM |
Last night CNN hosted a key Republican Presidential debate, in which Rick Perry took a variety of attacks. This is critical because going into Rick Perry’s first debate, his favorability ratings were great, and his unfavorables were miniscule compared with the field. Let’s see where CNN had the state of the race going into last night.
The candidates Iowa Republicans don’t want
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | August 22nd at 09:30 AM |
By request, we have a somewhat unusual poll: We Ask America asked Iowa Republicans which candidate they don’t want as the Republican Presidential nominee in 2012. As is usual this time of year, the poll is skewed by the inclusion of non-candidates. This time, overwhelmingly so.

We need real, useful primary polling
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | June 30th at 08:00 AM |
So Fox News put out a new poll of the race for the Republican Presidential nomination. It’s a typical poll in many ways, but Fox’s bit of analysis got me to thinking: Polls like this favor frontrunners and likely skew the race.

CPAC: Reagan, Gingrich, and Paul
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | February 11th at 05:00 PM |
Every decade of conservatives has its hero. In fact, I think Ronald Reagan became the hero of the conservatives who came up in the 1970s and 1980s. He won the Cold War, he cut and then simplified taxes, he fought the unions, and he was an outspoken champion of the pro-life cause. He energized a movement, a party, and a country. It’s why many of | Read More »
Thompson declines and so do Wisconsin Republican hopes
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | April 23rd at 03:09 PM |
Tommy Thompson was going to give Russ Feingold a tough race, but he decided not to run. How are Republicans doing now to challenge the three term incumbent? Rasmussen has a look.

Rasmussen polls Ron Paul
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | April 14th at 03:05 PM |
Rasmussen took a special poll of one particular matchup possibility in the 2012 Presidential race. He looked at Ron Paul against Barack Obama and, surprise, Paul runs very well, trailing the incumbent President 41-42. How can this be, when Paul was rejected so soundly in the Republican primaries just two years ago? Reading the poll, I’m left to wonder if it was written and paid | Read More »
Obamanauts steal from the Ronulans
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | October 15th at 06:20 PM |
Ever heard of the Ron Paul rEVOLution? Well, it’s now time to get updated. It’s now the Barack Obama rEVOLution that we have to contend with: Obamanauts are apparently as devoid of an ability to produce as the One himself. And Ronulans have now been rewritten in history to be Obama supporters. Ha ha.
So I saw a bumper sticker today…
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | September 25th at 01:53 PM |
I may live in California, but I live in a sane part of California. We vote Republican, we have a good mix of suburban and rural lifestyles, and we don’t have crazy rallies for illegals or activist homosexuals. We also don’t generally see those bumper stickers that leftists are known for putting on their cars. In the last few years I’ve seen more signs for | Read More »
So, I was reading Stormfront last night…
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | August 26th at 11:16 AM |
It’d been a while since I popped in on the Internet’s leading Nazi community, and read what they were all hyped up about. I used to check in every couple of weeks to see how the Ron Paul push was going. They do still have a bunch of Ronulans, but some have moved on to the Constitution Party candidate. In any case, I visited last | Read More »

NIST report on WTC 7 released
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | August 24th at 05:32 PM |
Via Slashdot, the NIST report on the collapse of New York World Trade Center building 7 is out. The statements of the cause of the collapse are conclusive. “Our study found that the fires in WTC 7, which were uncontrolled but otherwise similar to fires experienced in other tall buildings, caused an extraordinary event,” said NIST WTC Lead Investigator Shyam Sunder. “Heating of floor beams | Read More »
The markets stick it to the Ronulans

Gold prices are collapsing, says Bloomberg: Gold fell below $800 an ounce Friday, capping the biggest weekly slide in 25 years, as the dollar surged against the euro, reducing the appeal of the metal as an alternative investment. Silver dropped as much as 14 percent. The dollar headed for a fifth straight weekly gain against the euro as economies in Europe slow. Gold generally moves | Read More »
