Meeting GOP Candidate Rick Santorum!

This past week I had the privilege of meeting GOP Presidential candidate Rick Santorum.  It was such an unreal experience for me to meet and speak with him!  When you meet him and hear him speak in person, it truly sounds like he is the candidate who is most dedicated to America’s future.  I had the opportunity to speak with him following his speech and he is a very genuine person.

His ideas are not given the publicity that some of the others’ are, but his are bold solutions that are realistic as well.  His policy regarding Iran is something each and every candidate should mirror; he believes that if Iran will not close their nuclear facilities down, we will close them down for them.  His belief in reestablishing and strengthening the traditional family, as well as making the next generation one of strong values, is something that makes me have hope for my generation!

When my preferred candidate dropped out of the race, I hesitated slightly before choosing another candidate.  After meeting Senator Santorum, I have absolutely no hesitation to say Santorum 2012!

If we want someone who can truly defeat President Obama, I believe he is the candidate we need.  He has the best record between the four candidates remaining.  He may not have officially received many “big” endorsements, but the names he has received praise from are exceptional:  Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Mike Huckabee, and many others.  None of these people I mentioned have made official endorsements, but all of them have praise for Senator Santorum.  When you receive praise from people like them, it is clear that you are fighting for the right cause and are doing a good job of it.

One more thing:  Senator Santorum made quite clear to me that he is a huge fan of Smart Girl Politics!

Now then, as to reality. Santorum is a big-government supporter who, contrary to his current blather, has never supported a conservative ideal in his political life.

On a personal note, he comes across to real people as distant and pointlessly arrogant. He’s currently down by a factor of three or four in Florida and he’s not likely to get any closer.

As to the policy notes, did he happen to mention just “how” he’s planning on shutting down Iran’s nuke program? And as far as the “traditional family” claptrap, that is not the big problem on our plate right now. If we don’t elect a President dedicated to stopping the growth of government and then shrinking it, your generation will be eating out of dumpsters. And Rick Santorum has nothing in his history to indicate he’d slow down spending by a dollar. He’s never led on anything, he’s been nothing but a back bencher for his entire career.

    He’s gone. Get over it.

      Not this anti-Santorum garbage again.

I was reminded of our tussles after Iowa when you trotted out the ‘big government line’ and used exhibit A that Santorum voted for Medicare part D – oh the horror! … I was reminded tonight when Gingrich announced how PROUD he was to support Medicare Part D!! Proud! Reality: for Santorum it was a tough vote since his principles are to get health savings accounts and he said it was a 51-49 type vote for him. He got the HSAs … the same HSAs that Obamacare gutted and which, thanks to bogs lib-moderated debates, we have heard precious little in these debates about HOW Newt, Romney and Santorum would actually fix healthcare.

Which would be an interesting discussion, because its been noted by several observers that Santorum has the MOST FREE MARKET PROPOSALS of the top contenders.

One EVERY issue that you mention as a Santorum deviation from conservative principles … Newt was there, and Romney was there and THEN some. We know that by the record, a detailed review showed 85% conservative record for Santorum. We know that real conservatives in 1998 got ticked off at Newt, we know Newt sat on the couch with Pelosi, we know that only Santorum was consistently against AGW nonsense), Newt went on a weird road trip with Al Sharpton and just last May dissed the Paul Ryan roadmap – a roadmap that is the substance of the cut, cap and balance that Santorum supports and is the KEY to changing our budget around.

its disturbing you go to such lengths to tarnish the guy who is actually the MOST conservative candidate in the race now, if you exclude Ron Paul as actually a libertarian.

      “And as far as the

conservative OR a leader if one bit you on the knee.

Santorum is almost as unqualified as Obama. At least he didn’t vote “present”, but he added no more leadership to the mix than BO did before he was elected.

And let’s get one thing absolutely straight. I’m not and would never “pee down the leg of social conservatives”, because in fact, the bozos who fronted Santorums campaign – at the cost of a million bucks to buy off Pantaloons – and the assembly in Texas are most certainly not conservatives. They’re single issue fools fronting a puppet who, if he did get elected could not and would do anything on their “issues”. I wouldn’t pee on their heads if they were on fire.

As I noted earlier, Santorum is, thankfully, dead meat. I’m not real happy about Newt, but given the current choices, he’s easily the best one.

and santorum is clearly the best candidate in the field.
