Our Current Health Care System is Unconstitutional

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  August 30th at 09:14 PM  |

Derec at Live Free Colorado has the story. At an Obama care rally that passed through Denver on Aug. 28th at North High School, Congressman Ed Perlmutter (D, CO-7) asked the audience, with their ocean of pre-printed Health Care Now signs, if they’d heard of the 14th Amendment. From the article by Derec, Yep, according to Ed Perlmutter, the 14th Amendment gives equal protection and | Read More »

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  August 30th at 02:44 PM  |

UPDATE: Buck will not withdraw. Hey all I wanted to reassure everyone that it’s full steam ahead for my campaign for the U.S. Senate. While other candidates may still jump in the Senate race, one thing is clear – our party’s nominee will be chosen by Colorado’s grassroots Republicans, not by political operatives in Washington D.C. See you guys at the next GOP function! UPDATE: | Read More »

    About Those Death Panels

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  August 25th at 07:14 AM  |

I mean, what could possibly go wrong? The Veterans Affairs Department recently sent out 2,500 letters to veterans informing them that they had been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Unfortunately, according to the National Gulf War Resource , over 1,200 of the recipients incorrectly received the letter. Responses to receiving the letter were as would be expected. Harry Reid Trails By Double Digits

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  August 24th at 03:05 AM  |

As reported in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, in the latest Mason-Dixon poll, Reid trails potential Republican candidates Danny Tarkanian and Sue Lowden by 49 percent to 38 percent and 45 percent to 40 percent, respectively. Winning becomes more difficult when you are actually the one having to carry the water for the president. He (Reid) has got to get something out of the Obama administration | Read More »

Great Leaders Develop Leadership in Others

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  August 9th at 10:25 AM  |

This was originally posted on TCU Nation as a comment. It is re-posted here with permission. National demonstrations of Revolutionary spirit appear to be more than fleeting episodes of civic passion. Stirred by the recent torrents of forceful bureaucracy, Americans seem to know their liberty is in jeopardy. Many spontaneous protests evoke the Boston Tea Party. There, feverous speeches channel the Founders and are brilliantly | Read More »

Free Colorado has videos of the Longmont, Colorado Healthcare Rally on August 6th. These uncontrollable mobs simply must be stopped or no one will be safe. Ok, so there wasn’t really an uncontrollable mob in Longmont. As a matter of fact, you might actually have to check for a pulse on some of these people to see if they weren’t comatose. Rationing DeathCare

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  August 4th at 03:15 PM  |

Much has been said about how healthcare will have to be rationed under the Universal Health Care proposals being put forth by President Obama and the Democrat-led Congress. If they are successful in getting their plan enacted, it will only be a matter of time before the government has complete control over not only our healthcare, but our deathcare as well. Tea Party Overwhelms Obamacare Advocates in Fort Collins [Updated]

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  July 29th at 04:41 PM  |

Video coverage from the event by The Coloradoan Obamacare advocates organized a rally in Fort Collins today. Originally it was going to be near Betsy Markey’s office, but at the last minute they tried to move it to another location, probably because they didn’t want to end up on the wrong end of the numbers. Those Ignorant of History are Doomed to Repeat It

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  July 29th at 10:23 AM  |

No, this isn’t a cartoon from 2009. According to the The Daily Cartoonist, this was reportedly an editorial cartoon that ran in the Chicago Tribune in 1934 during the Great Depression. At least back then the dead tree media was willing to ask important questions, rather than simply being a megaphone for the government. Night Twister

    Legislating Morality

By: NightTwister (Diary)  |  May 4th at 09:23 PM  |

For as long as I can remember I’ve been hearing liberals tell me, “You can’t legislate morality”. Years ago I just believed they were naive, but sincere. Yet, at some point sincere naivete becomes promotion of evil. Some will say that statement is too harsh, but I find I no longer care.
