I wrote a response to Kyle in Secessionary’s first diary, regarding how the left has set themselves up to “change” our country if Obama is elected. I decided it would make a better diary entry.

In my post I explain my hopes and fears during an Obama presidency.

“Well written Kyle, and I hope you are right.

I would hope the worst that could happen is four years of liberalism. The electorate receives it’s history lessen in the perils of socialism as you suggest, and then another Reagan type emerges. Carter 2.

Our side should act with honor and love of America during that time. I pray that is all that would happen.

But I think something is being overlooked and I hope I am wrong.

What if we begin losing freedoms at a more alarming rate? How will our country react to this?

After the Carter and Clinton presidencies, the left has learned how to wield power. For example, the MSM is now unabashedly in the tank and the fairness act will become law.

Even worse there are now enough vacancies in the courts that the left is set to almost completely overwhelm the judicial system with liberals and that is where the socialist changes will begin.

What will Americans like Secessionary do when the fabric of our society is almost completely changed by judicial fiat or incredibly convoluted laws that are never reported on (remember fairness act and internet restrictions)?

We will all place our hope in Justice Kennedy to hold the line.

Lord help us.”

Regarding the judiciary, I would like to add to the post the following about what might become if Obama is elected.

1. There ate a near record number of judicial vacancies in the courts. Almost all of these will be filled in the first 2-4 years of an Obama presidency. We will not be able to undo this or even slow it down. The left has a huge opportunity here.

   1. Justice Kennedy will swing heavily to the left. The pressure on him will be unreal. When he swings further to the left we will have national same sex marriage, late term abortions, new socialist requirements for businesses, foreign/sharia law entrenched in our courts, and changes to how our military/intelligence community functions.

2. The left is now in almost complete control of the MSM and the “other” media will be lessened somehow. So whatever the courts do, will be perverted to sound good somehow.

This should be the number one issue in this election, because it is has ramifications for every American on every issue.
