Rick Santorum for Republican President

This election provides a very poignant reminder on media’s role in election. I am very much surprised by the strong of showing of New Gingrich in Ohio. Advertising and media had a great role in Ohio outcomes.

Voters admire Newt Gingrich and respect him. Newt may be a great debater. But he is not going upstage Obama. Obama’s Harvard speech in 1991 is very impressive irrespective of its content or context. Winning the debate is not going to automatically translate into win in the general election. Therefore Newt Gingrich is not going to be next president.

Mitt Romney has an impeccable resume and admirable family. It is unfortunate that Romney is not our nominee in 2008. But in 2012 Romney cannot win. Democrats already set up the 99% and 1% narrative. Unlike Republican contenders Romney will face barrage of negative advertisement on his personal wealth (group picture with guys showing off dollar bills, couple of cadillacs etc).

Above all to vote for Romney, independent voters need to hate Obama. I do not think one can win betting on people hating Obama. Obama is very likable irrespective of his several policy positions and above all Obama care is Romney care at federal level.

Economy is getting better by the day and it is trending in the positive trajectory. Above all Obama’s steps save the auto industry in Detriot and turn around is very impressive.

Pan Am – Gaddafi is gone.

September 11 – Bin Laden is gone

Before the election several other dictators will be dispatched to oblivion.

Dow may reach 14000.

2012 looks more like 1996 and Obama chances are as good as Clinton.

There is no way to run negative campaign against Obama on issues other than Obama care.

Rick Santorum has the personality that is better suited for Presidency. There are areas where a Republican platform can be superior.

Only Rick Santorum can come with a message that has a clear trajectory towards victory.

Rich Santorum is authentic. However people need to know what people can expect from him as President.

Winning Michigan is not an option, Mr. Santorum

The issue of Christians and any other religious minorities suffering anywhere in the world is a grave concern. But United States in many cases did not do enough to prevent genocides. You can do something or a comprehensive thing only if you are a president.

You may have the looks of James Stewart somewhat and you may be the Mr. Smith went to Washington as Senator. But you are not a President yet and becoming one must be the only priority. There are millions of people killed in the last 100 years and there may be few thousand will die from now to January, 2013.

You can make the difference, only if you have the power.

In Wonderful Life, the question was what if the protagonist was not born…. You have to think what if you were not the president.

What are the dire consequences?

Your diary about Christians Middle East or various positions you have taken is commendable as you have explained in Arizona debate is good for the believers.

But if you lose in Michigan, your bid is over and the minorities all over the world are going to perish anyways.

In 2008, people were looking for solutions and not someone who can reach across the Aisle.

In 2012, people are looking for a strong leader and not a CEO or a statesman.

American President is pretty much king elected every 4 years based on people’s expectations. And a king is expected to be strong leader. In my previous diary, I wrote about the stale issues like abortion, second amendment, etc. Here are more stale items: ear marks, deficit, national debt, vouchers, no child left behind etc.

Please stay out of all stale issues…. Please stay out of right wing social engineering to social security, medicare and flat tax.

Reducing the corporate taxes is same as reaching across the aisle. It would end as gimmickry. It is neither  going to reduce unemployment nor bring back the manufacturing.

Come with bold initiatives… Talk about heavy industries and well paying jobs. Energy initiatives generate millions of jobs drawing trillion dollars in investments.

  • Increase nuclear power generation share from 20% to 90% of electricity generation.
  • Coal/natural gas/Algae conversion to generate liquid fuel. Talk about big industries and not small businesses.
  • Open 100 new medical schools.

Peace comes with prosperity and benevolence comes from the strength.

When you are the president, give only 24 hours for diplomacy. When the marines were killed in Lebanon there was no strong response. Had there been a strong response there would have been no 9/11.

Conservatism with kindness and courage and that what the world needs today.

As a senator you had fewer choices on certain things. Tell the world you are not running to be a super senator or super CEO. You are running for the president of the United States, the best nation in the history of the mankind

How Rick Santorum can win the nomination and Presidency

Second Amendment, Abortion, Small Government and School Voucher are stale issues. Do not stuck in there.

Few tea party candidates lost due to strong stance on abortion with no exceptions (rape and incest etc.). Abortion is a very serious issue. Main stream media asks a very simple question. Are you against abortion under any circumstance? If a candidate saya yes, his or  her candidacy is over then and there. Most Americans are against abortion but with exceptions. As a leader one must run to win the election to save the nation and strive to bring  in economic stability that will make abortion rare.

If a Republican leader has guts to say that  he  is against abortion but understand the exceptions, then he will win the general election.

If abortion made completely illegal even for rape, then some civil rights group will get visitation right for the perpetrator and his family. Nothing would be worse than this.

As it stands now no candidate should get tangled in the abortion issue.

Rather Rick Santorum should promote family, marriage and child bearing and provide financial incentive to have children under two parents.

Winning this election by a conservative American is a must for the future of this great nation. By winning the election Rick Santorum can save million American babies an year, by supporting strong families. But losing the  general election, by taking strong stance on abortion he cannot save none.

Hermain Cain put succinctly that he is pro-life. Pro Life defines meaningful and thoughtful stance. Million others and I hope Rick Santorum stakes a stand that is prolife and not suppressing women.

We need a pragmatic leader that is Rich Santorum who represents middle class with strong family values. Rick Santorum should lead by example and not by legislation. We do not need laws against  abortion when everyone can understand and appreciate life that is procreated under holiest circumstances.

Our challenges are not forcing a women or a girl bear a child that procreated due to atrocity  that no religion approves.

Our challenge is defining what is America and what it stands for. Liberals want falling birthrate among Americans and uncontrolled immigrations to make the nation poor and weaker and eventually destroy the super power status that liberals despise.

Senator Orrin Hatch is no Upstate Newyork beans or Florida toasted coffee

Sarah Palin expressed interest in the candidacy of Republicans of various idealogical spectrum during the 2010 election and many won and some lost. Chief among them was Christine O’Donnell.

Christine O’Donnell faced tremendous negative coverage by the leftist media . She faced the same level of onslaught as George Allen. But leftist media is not the only reason she lost the election.

1. Stance on abortion.

Media asks a simple question. Due you want to make exception for rape and incest? Any candidate that says no exceptions is going to loose and some of the tea party candidates lost because of their abortion stance. Prolife need not be anti-abortion. I am pro-life and not anti-abortion. Any pregnancy due to a crime must be termed and that is my opinion. For thousands of years women had no choice but to commit suicide or bear the child of rape. Today’s technology provides them the way out. Anti-abortion with no-exception at state and nationwide election will bring only defeat.

2. The “I am not a witch”  TV spot

3. State party

Sarah Palin’s endorsement of three women in the East coast resulted in the victory for two of them, Haley and Ayotte.

My take is Republican Party candidates should not interfere with the reproductive rights of the women and Pro-Life is a right stance and anti-abortion with no exception is no good.

Sarah Palin’s support for Orrin Hatch is something we need to applaud. Making the right decision takes courage and Sarah Palin has the courage and conviction to do the right thing. Tea partiers are not sheeple and some of the dubious candidates who ride the tea party wave brought humiliation like the candidate in Colorado.

Orrin Hatch is a great statesman and contributed tremendously to the well being of our nation.   Yes. There are some votes that are not very conservative. But they were necessary actions in a representative democracy.

There is a great future for some of the Utah tea party candidates and they got to wait for their turn. We do not want to waste our time and energy on primaries of Republican senators and representatives based on short fall of few points in a conservative scale.  If the candidate is 80 instead of 90 is not a problem. If the candidate is 20 and then we have a  problem.

It is not productive to waste the energy on 80/90 dispute.

Mr. Hatch is like us but with lot more burden due to elected office.

Joe Miller may win if courts rule in his favor with 1554 plus from Questioned, Absentee and Overseas ballots

I looked at the various possibilities for Joe Miller’s win. If  MIller wins 9000 votes in the absentee, questioned ballots and overseas votes which are going to be counted in following ways Miller can win without hassle.

Tuesday, 11/9 – Early votes from Election Day and Absentee ballots – gone already

Friday, 11/12 – Questioned ballots
Monday, 11/15 – Absentee and/or questioned ballots
Tuesday, 11/16 – Absentee and/or questioned ballots
Wednesday, 11/17 – Special Advance (overseas) ballots

I wish somebody can give a rough estimate number of would be ballots in the questioned, absentee and overseas ballots over all. I would call them QAO votes for this diary entry.

These are the current numbers from Alaksa Elections web site.

——————————————————————————–

Total Votes  83113

 Write in Vote count
Lisa Murkowski  74449 89.58%
Murkowski (CC)  6574 7.91%
Murkowski (CNC)  1559 1.88%
Other – Misc. Names  473 0.57%
Write-In Miller, Joe  5 0.01%
Write-In McAdams   5 0.01%

Miller, Joe REP 87517
Write-in Votes  98565

———————————–

Analysis

15252 write in ballots are yet to be counted.

With the current clean vote scenario for Lisa M. she would be winning 90% of the write in votes. That would be 88709. So Lisa M. would lead by 1192. So Miller needs 1192  QAO votes at the minimum if courts decide in his favor.

With current challenged counted scenario Lisa M. is winning 97.49% of the write in votes. In that scenario it would be 96091 votes for Lisa M. So Miller needs 8575 votes at the minimum.

In the best case Scenario Lisa M. would have 96275 votes cast for her.

clean + challenged but counted + yet to be counted

74449 + 6574 = 81023 + 15252  = 96275. Only 183 votes vary in approximation of 96091.

If courts throw out challenged but counted votes the tally would be 89071 at the best or 88709. i.e. 360 votes variation in approximation.

If courts throw out challenged votes,  Lisa M. tally would be 89071 votes and then Miller needs = 89071 – 87517 i.e 1554 votes from the QAO pool.

Or

Millers needs 8663 votes to win without courts’ intervention from questioned, Absentee and Overseas votes at the minimum. Lisa M. would be getting some write in ballots from that pool too.

My question for my buddies what is the number of votes in the absentee, questioned and overseas pool.

A pledge to Delaware – Regulate, Reindustrialize, Reinvest,Reenergize and Refuel

I did not read the Republican pledge. But read the commentaries on them.

How tax cut to so called rich is going to create a job or any job. How it is going to boost to entrepreneurship?

Many companies are already sitting on billions of dollars of cash.

What is real cause for America’s problems today?

The answer may be residential real estate. American wealth is locked in real estate. Today’s homes are twice as big as the homes that were built 30 years ago. An average new home has four bed rooms when most families live in them have two or less children. Cats and dogs enjoy the walk out basements of 2000 square feet are more.

These trillions of dollar residential excess is the root cause for America’s decline in manufacturing sector. The residential real estate also employs transient people who transmit billions of dollars American wealth out of the country. Lawns are criminal waste of fertilizer, water and gasoline.

O’Donnell’s opponent felt that residential real estate excess is not good enough. This gentileman wants to spend billions of dollars on the commercial real estate and that too public money i.e. tax dollars on commercial real estate. This unproductive idea will be very much appreciated by the media elite. This gentleman has no meaningful ideas to solve nation’s problem.

I wish O’Donnell makes five pledges

  • Regulate: Government (Fannie and Freddie) should not lend more than $200k per home or 50% of the home value whichever that is less.
  • Reindustrialize: Impose heavy customs duty on imported manufactured items and enforce quotas to bring balance on import and export
  • Reinvest: Sell the shares of Government Motors and all other government held banks to the American tax payors at its face value so that Americans own them.
  • Reenergize: Invest in nuclear power.
  • Refuel:  After all Delaware is the chemical capital of the world. We can’t build battery driven police car or a rig. It is unrealistic. We can research and develop synthetic fuel and replace fossil fuel.

A week in the dinosaur park – Christine O’Donnell canceled the dinosaur media interviews

Read: Decided not to step on the copralite on Sunday.

Who cares about the network TV anyways. They generate news out of the interviews for the cable channels.

Washington is not a strange place. There is an association for every cause. Some association is out there for ethics and found problems with politicos. Of course they need to show that they are a non-partisan association. Some democrats were listed along with many republicans. This association wants to create some headache. We got to believe that they are truely non-partisan. Truely non-partisan ethical association indeed! Please fund them with copralite!

Maryland Republican senate candidate has the best ad. He wants to extinct insidosaurus of maryland.

Well. Somebody in Nevada wanted to have a Upper Delavarian dinosaur for pet. Do we have a problem with that?

How do we transport dinosaur in a humane way with less carbon foot print to Search Light? Ask a starlet for advise.

Great idea here. Let us spend some stimulus money on keeping the dinosaurs clean …

Well. We had a great week. Christine O’ made a very smart move by avoiding the Sunday shows. She will not gain a single vote out of that.

On the other day in the mall a vendor told my wife “People are made all over the world. But merchantise is made only in China”. Think about that.

Sarah Palin Endorsed Christine O’Donnell today

Thank you, Gov. Sarah Palin, for your endorsement on Sean Hannity today. Strong conservative women will take our country back!

Spill of harshness

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/06/03/nikki-haley-called-raghead-by-political-opponent/?fbid=df2eFXfhxdA#more-107081

Some of the members of the Republican party must be expeled. They neither represent Republicans nor America. As the bad coverarge reverberates across the world via CNN, Politico etc., end of the day it poorly reflects on us. Please contain the spill of harshness. It does not help our cause and will ruin the entire 2010 election cycle.
