The Walpin Cover-up

Or IG-Gate, for short. THE money shots:

Stacy: “The AmeriCorps IG scandal is the sort of Nixonian evil that sends people to prison prison.”

Michelle: “If Obama keeps up with this “change,” we’ll be back to the Watergate era by Christmas.”

Ed: “This is nothing more than a bare-knuckled smear job, a despicable attempt to use allegations of mental illness to discredit someone who ran afoul of Barack Obama for taking the independence of his job seriously. That may play in Chicago, and it used to play in Moscow, but it shouldn’t play in Washington DC and America.”

Fausta: (Speaking of dementia…) “How about Murtha, and Ted Kennedy, and by the way, how old is Nancy Pelosi?”

John: “…Obama fired him without giving a reason other than his supposed lack of “fullest confidence” in Walpin. This certainly violated the spirit, and may have violated the letter of the 2008 Inspectors General Reform Act, which Obama co-sponsored. (I think it probably did.) This is classic Obama–ignoring a statute which he himself had sponsored just a year earlier.”

The cover-up is always worse than the crime. Follow this story closely, especially how the issue of POTUS violating US law is handled and the involvement of the First Lady.

The two most scary aspects of this case

civil_truth Wednesday, June 17th at 7:37PM EDT (link)

1) As has been pointed out, forcing Walpin out leaves the entire top management of Americorp vacant, which leaves the way open to appointing leaders who will use these funds to create a federally-funded revolutionary infrastructure (militas) to provide the street muscle to impose a socialist/communist regime

2) As we’ve seen with the auto and financial CEOs, a succesful firing of Walpin and the public slander of his reputation will send a signal of intimidation to other IGs to tow the line or face the same outcome.

We’ve already seen a pattern of bullying and intimidation by this administration (and th DOJ hasn’t even warmed up yet) that is already escalating (as it always does) because is hasn’t been successfully pushed back yet.

At some point, we’re going to reach a tipping point where the intimidation and bullying will gain contol over so much of the nation’s governmental and businiess structures that it will be unstoppable, especially with Obama controlling the streets with his militias. At that point we will have the choice or abject surrender to dictatorship or resistance, which will result in bloodshed. At that point, democracy loses either way.

Sorry for the bleak vision, but we’re only 6 months into this adminstration, and this speading of intimadation and federalization of power seems to be only accelerating with no evident opposition that can do anything to stop it - and the amount of territory that has been lost and is threatened to be lost by the time Congress adjourns this fall is staggering.

It was shameful what they have done to this good man...

Whoever has his enemy at his mercy &
does not destroy him is his own enemy

This is what Democrats do when they run a government.

To the extent that there is any ethical culture in a government, it resides in the senior, high-level career employees who actually keep the beast running. In their modern incarnation, the first thing a Democrat administration does is intimidate and run off as many of those people as possible. Some just leave, some can’t and just put their head down for four or eight years. Those who do neither are either marginalized by attacks and innuendo or are given an office with no windows or phone and a seat that flushes.

Once there are no high-level ministerial employees who will cry foul, then the Democrats can run the government with the only check being public opinion. Since Democrats are definitionally good people, the media never peeks under their skirts, so public opinion of even hideously corrupt Democrat administrations is always good. Welcome to your new World.
