S 22 Cloture vote, just a hint of the future.

RINOS, (Traitors), whatever you would like to call them on the S 22 Sunday Cloture vote are listed below. There were a few brave souls that showed up to voice their opposition (12) with some good comments by Tom Coburn and Jim Demint and a couple of others. I should have been at church praying for the country instead of watching these proceedings, but don’t judge me, please.

The folks who stayed home (not voting), of course counted against releasing the bill.

I realize the Senators had just come from a Republican session where they were told to keep their head down, don’t make waves, and don’t get the NE corridor folks thrown out of office by making controversy, but seriously, this many liberals in the Republican party?

And we are constantly told that the party is too exclusive.

You could not build a tent this big with last years total production of canvas.

BE SURE and contact these RINOS and send some love their way. If you sit quietly, guess what.

They already think they are smarter than you dumb conservatives and must show you the enlightened way.

There is very little difference between these folks and the socialists across the aisle. Make yourself hard to ignore. You never know:

Barrasso (R-WY), Yea

Bennett (R-UT), Yea

Cochran (R-MS), Yea

Collins (R-ME), Yea

Crapo (R-ID), Yea

Enzi (R-WY), Yea

Hatch (R-UT), Yea

Lugar (R-IN), Yea

Murkowski (R-AK), Yea

Risch (R-ID), Yea

Snowe (R-ME), Yea  and

Wicker (R-MS), Yea

I like to think that some of these

make a strategic vote, currying favor, since they know the cloture vote will succeed. I also like to think that I’m not an idiot!

At what cost

Seriously, if your ideologically pure party is one that thinks Barrasso, Bennet and Enzi among otheres here are little different from socialists then it is a tiny party indeed.

He is also apparently going to get...

little cover from the NRA and Hatch, and if anyone cares Retired Warner, on holders nomination. Why are we even bothering to show. If we are going to start rolling over on everything, then let’s walk out and make them own everything lock, stock and barrel. That would be a better strategy that giving the appearance that you support a piece of total crap.

The GOP had better take a stand on something early

Seems like we need to pick something out of the many choices available to kill early to show that the GOP can actually block something.

This seemed like a good candidate, but wow we caved like a house of cards.

Specter provided cover for people like the ladies from Maine to block Holder, but now squishies like Hatch are caving.

We already know whatever stimulus Obama wants will pass.

The GOP had better pick a target and show some unity or this will be the most irrelevant minority presence ever.

Amnen BK The Lands Bill had 45 earmarks,

olsmithie Tuesday, January 13th at 11:23AM EST (link)

(read vote buyoffs), 5 Million for a Botanical Garden in Hawaii, 14 Million for “Tropical Research” in Panama?, 12 Million for an “Orchid Nursery” in Maryland, and the 1300 page bill goes on and on.

According to DeMint the bill was not available on Friday for Staffs to try to decipher in a day or so. No amendments and no real debate, certainly that’s bipartisanship. NOT

No time to read the bill, yet these RINOs felt they must vote for it, no idea what is in it, but I must vote for it.

If folks want to defend that, then go for it!
I’ll enjoy watching.

This is Reid’s debauchery at its finest and the RINOs went right along with it . I know some will be apologists for one Senator or another, but if it quacks like a duck,(voting for the socialist’s bill), walks like a duck, and you know the rest.

The actions of our senators speak so loud, I don’t hear what they are saying. We should consider that every vote.

Weird

Okay, Colins, Murkowski, Snowe, and Lugar I get. But…really? We lost both Senators from Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah? What the hell? Didn’t we win all of those by at least 35 points?
