Cosmic rays causing Al Gore’s head to explode

CERN is a European Organization for Nuclear Research, one of the world’s largest centres for scientific research involving 60 countries and 8,000 scientists at more than 600 universities and national laboratories. They have been doing environmental research in a pristinely clean stainless steel chamber that precisely recreated the Earth’s atmosphere. They have found that cosmic rays are the seeds for cloud formation on the earth. | Read More »

    The latest Rick Perry controversy

The rabid left is pulling all the strings out in trying to find something that will hit Rick Perry hard and take him down. Seems that HuffPo has been given “secret meeting notes” from a “source that was there in 2003″ about how Rick Perry and UBS schemed to “profit” from the life insurance on teachers who passed away. Now having worked for a time | Read More »

Perry off to a strong start…

There are 2 new national polls out today on the GOP race. Gallup came out with their national poll showing Perry with 29% to Romney’s 17% and Paul at 13%. With Palin included, Perry is at 25%, Romney at 14% and Palin and Paul tied at 11%. Perry-Zooms-Front-Pack-2012-GOP-Gallup Public Policy Polling also came out with their national poll of the GOP race. Perry was a | Read More »

Paul Krugman has lost his mind

I know this is kind of late in coming, but it seems that his writings and guest appearances have finally shown him to be the ‘Kook’ that he is. I tried to read his last article at the NYTimes – http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/08/19/awesome-wrongness-2/ and was left trying to make any sense of it. Usually in writing an article, you usually try to make a point with data | Read More »

Need help in identifying this photo

A website called Right Speak posted a picture of Perry signing some law surrounded by at least 3 acorn folks. http://www.rightspeak.net/2011/08/rick-perry-and-acorn.html I’d like to see what context it is in and the date, ect. I hate when people take something like a photo and suggest something and leave it out there with no context. Also there are several other posts at the Right Speak website | Read More »

    Rick Perry’s “Entitlement Problem”?

The Daily Beast came out with another “hit piece” on Rick Perry today.  Andrew Romano asked the question “Is Perry electable?” Here is a quote from a part of the article  on why he is asking the question. “Rick Perry seems to perfectly embody the Republican zeitgeist of the moment, appealing equally to the GOP’s Tea Party, Christian Right, and establishment factions while exemplifying the | Read More »

Robert Reich channeling his inner FDR

Robert Reich just opined that it is possible that we are headed back to a double dip recession.  He is hoping that all these negative economic signs will prompt Washington to get serious about job creation. The only jobs I’ve known to come out of Washington were bureaucrats willing to spend more tax money and write even more confusing regulation.  The obvious solution is to | Read More »

Half of Last Month’s New Jobs Came from a Single Employer — McDonald’s

I followed a link to a review of the jobs report that just came out for May.  They noted that the 62,000 jobs that McDonald’s added came after April’s job survey.  This means that the 62,000 jobs weren’t included in April, but in May’s job report.  They do note that the Labor Department does make allowances for this normal increase in summer jobs usually to | Read More »

Missouri moves from 9 to 8 electorial districts.

Democrats hardest hit. Missouri lost one of it’s congressional districts in the latest 2010 census.  We had 6 Republicans and 3 Democrats.  The 3 Democrats were located in St. Louis and Kansas City.  Now one of those Democrats is having his St. Louis district combined into the other one.  Democrat Russ Carnahan’s third district was eliminated in the new plan, while the districts currently held | Read More »
