I just find this whole thing strange, particularly after the announcement from our socialist president that (not only does he have his sights set on taking over our health care system) he intends to nationalize Student Loan programs and make us pay the bill for them… sooner if they forego a profitable career with the degree they earn and dedicate their life instead to community service.

“Let’s tell another 1 million students that when they graduate, they will be required to pay only 10 percent of their income on student loans, and all of their debt will be forgiven after 20 years — and forgiven after 10 years if they choose a career in public service,” Obama said.

Is this the beginning efforts of Obama’s troops to flood the system with applications, preparing a list of “qualified applicants” to be first in line when higher education is controlled by him and his progressive minions as they want to take charge of our health care? The timing and objectives of this e-mail seem awfully suspicious to me.

I even find odd the e-mail writer’s intentional effort not to capitalize the word ”Lord” and not to spell “God” in full but rather to use “G-d” and to insist that it is their sponsor and not “G-d” who can help you.

Then I noticed something else, written in very small type at the top of the e-mail. It reads:

You are receiving this email message because you opted to at one of our affiliate’s website. If you no longer wish to receive these messages from us, then Please DO NOT claim that we Spammed You! To remove from further emails please press the link below. If you do want to claim that we spammed you, your Email Provider will report back to us your claim, and this is not a good thing for all.

First, I never “opted” to receive this or anything else from their “affiliate’s” website. And second, Is this meant as some sort of threat?

Obama has also proposed a $1.35 billion expansion of the $3 Billion dollar Race to the Top competitive grant program, which is supposed to reward states that make the most progress in raising academic standards, boosting teacher quality, tracking student gains and improving failing schools.

“Instead of rewarding failure, we only reward success,” Obama said. “Instead of funding the status quo, we only invest in reform — reform that raises student achievement, inspires students to excel in math and science, and turns around failing schools that steal the future of too many young Americans.”   

So, if the plan of reform is to “reward success” instead of promoting failure and the status quo and “turns around failing schools that steal the future of too many young Americans” …  then why did the United Federation of Teachers join up with the NAACP to file a lawsuit to prevent the closing of 19 low performing schools in New York?
