Newsmax: Obama Fails to Gain Among Churchgoers

Who finds this surprising?

Certainly not I.

The unprecedented effort that Democrat Barack Obama put into courting the white churchgoing public has apparently failed, according to a new Gallup Poll.

The poll shows that Obama is backed by just 28 percent of white voters who attend church at least once a week — a group that makes up roughly a third of all voters. That’s actually one point less than John Kerry and Al Gore received during the previous two elections.

“There has been remarkably little change among whites in the religion gap,” John Green, of the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, told Politico.

Gosh, I wonder if it could be because white churchgoers find it shocking to hear “G-d Damn America” preached from the pulpit?

Could it be that they find it hard to reconcile infanticide with Christianity?

Or maybe they’re just racists. Yeah. That must be it. Bitter redneck racists, clinging to their religion.

Does anyone here feel that the Christian vote has been captured by Obama?

We keep on hearing negative things about who is going to vote. I have never been called by a pollster. Not once. Are they calling the same thousand people.

They also never say how many hung up on them before they get the first question out. I hear that it is close to 80% that hang up.

This may be close, but I think that it will be embarrasing to the WHOLE media, and I am also talking about FOX, what the people of the US will not vote for.

All anti-Christians are lurking in Obama/Biden ticket.

    That’s Politics101.

They tried so hard to make it sound real.

And Obama bumperstickers in church parking lots were driving me crazy this year.

Did they not know he is the most pro-abortion candidate ever, and the Catholic church is explicit about not supporting something intrinsically evil … and yet I wondered.

    Well, we shall see.

I was encouraged that this Sunday, someone was taking the trouble to put “priests for life” material on cars, comparing the candidates on the issues. They used these flyers:

I am past the point of believing any media poll right now, and the one poll that counts is the election itself.

And, the Obama supporters are lacking in making that judgement. They’re going to fail. Either wich way, Obama’s failure will favor us.
