Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee on Dragging Women out of Patient Rooms and Into the Streets

“I think the next act will be dragging women out of patient rooms into the streets and screaming over their bodies as they are dragged out of getting access to women’s health care. That’s what I feel like is occurring today with the legislation that is on the floor” (Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX).

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee made this statement during the floor debate today about banning sex-selection abortion. If it weren’t so sick and tragic, you’d have to admire the irony in Ms. Jackson Lee’s statement.  Or pity her for her flagrant ignorance of what actually occurs during an abortion. Somehow, she completely disregards the fact that 50% of the so-called “products of conception” are women and that those unlucky women are dragged out of the patient rooms in buckets after being dragged out of the safety of their mothers’ wombs by a vacuum cleaner.

Unfortunately for those poor souls, their tiny lungs are too underdeveloped to scream in the streets and their minds are too young to be proper Democrats,  unable to object to this horrific War on Women.

Jackson Lee can’t see the forest for the trees. She just blathers on ignorantly about valuing women, the doctor-patient relationship and world peace. Or something:

“There is bipartisan, unilateral, unanimous support that we should not have agenda-based abortions for the sake of getting one gender over another. That is a human and humane, humanitarian issue that none of us quarrel with.”

Of course, we all agree it’s wrong…those backward Chinese and all. But don’t you dare try to make killing little baby girls illegal here— that would be…immoral! We’re Americans for crying out loud!

Hey, all you folks in TX….is there no way to get this woman and her ilk out of politics? Please!!!!

Paula, I think this one is going to backfire on the Dems. I’m already working on trying to make sure the females I come into contact with know what’s going on.

We need to spread the word on this!!! Thanks for the video

    • earlgrey

      I don’t mean to challenge. I just don’t understand.

      • lineholder

They called up the bill under suspension of House rules for debate…requires 2/3 vote to pass.

        • lineholder

          http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2012/05/30/gJQAL4ml2U_story.html?hpid=z2

I can’t believe that men are even remotely willing to settle for support of these abortions.

When immigrants come here, for whatever their reasons, they should be bound to support our laws and our legal system….not attempt to convert our legal system to conform to their cultures.

          • earlgrey

I figured I had to be missing something. I just am not as aware of the need for 2/3 votes in House. I dont know the procedures and rules there, and perhaps a few of them don’t know them either.

          • lineholder

If they did, then that explains why they chose the procedural path that they chose…it would allow the issue to be resolved much more quickly that way.

But Dems voted their loyalty to the abortion industry FIRST on this one. It has nothing, absolutely NOTHING, to do with “protecting a woman’s rights”! The hypocrites!

And Sheila Jackson Lee is a tool. That’s all she is. Nothing more and nothing less than a tool for the left and it’s abortion industry allies.

(Sorry, too close to being blindingly angry…more than I’ve been in a good while!)

          • Melody Warbington (rwm52)

Bart Stupak. We know where the Dems loyalty lies, but apparently our elected officials haven’t yet learned that lesson. They are driven by their greed for power and money. The root of all evil, isn’t it? Most assuredly, abortion is evil.

          • lineholder

It’s right there, in black and white, plain as day for those who have eyes to see it with!!! And yet….

God help me, Mel…when I get this angry, it’s hard to put a bridle on my own tongue to the point that allows me to present a logical and rational argument in the face of evil that goes so deep. And that’s what is needed here, you know?

          • cactusjack

ever heard of the old phrase, “political cover?” I suspect a few Repubs voting the “right” way knew this would fail on a 2/3 vote…

          • Dave_A

It’s that Democrats will not move one inch on ‘Abortion should be available to all for any reason’…

They fought against a partial-birth ban… They fight against parental notification for minors…

You can present them with any particular use of abortion – including gender selection, and they don’t hear the words before ‘abortion’ – they just hear ‘ban’ or ‘limit’ and ‘abortion’ and come unhinged…

To them it has nothing to do with immigrants, and everything to do with a not-one-more-inch policy…

Us on the pro-life side, of course, are using the opposite policy – let’s find as many ‘limited’ restrictions as we can enact, to gradually ‘move the chains’ toward ending this abhorrent practice, period…

          • funwithknives

            on it’s big ole’ head.

Progressives are the ones who know and use The Dialectic to it’s fullest advantage. They’ll Never bend over for this one because they know from experience, what will come next.
They’re going to use imagery and emotion almost exclusively from here on, due to polling and popular sentiment not going their way. No facts support their positions, so they go to what they “Feel” will work.

The Right-Honorable Ms. Jackson-Lee is just a marker-buoy in this channel, and the voyage just left port……………

But you gotta admit She IS a lot funnier than anything on The Comedy Channel…., and none of it is made up.

          • cbartlett

My parents, both in their late 70′s and life-long conservatives, were re-aligned into her district several years ago and are completely disgusted. They cannot stand her and change the channel when she’s talking. My mother says she never misses an opportunity to get on camera. She wears bright red and purple clothes and arrives at televised events several hours early so she can make sure she gets a spot on the front row. This is just another example of the fact that she never says anything worthwhille – she only opens her mouth to change feet.

          • lineholder

Namely, “the Repubs shouldn’t alienate Asian-Americans by banning sex-selective abortions”.

More or less what Milbank implies is that we should make allowances for other cultures, to the point of killing female babies, for the purpose of “being a big tent” politically.

    • greyeagle

Hey we have been trying to export her for years. Her District keeps electing her.

Redistricting is pitting 13th and 14th District Progressives, in one case white and black against each other, and is going to be a laugh riot.
If that sort of thing amuses and entertains you, that is……

Do not be surprised about anything you might hear about these races. It’s S O P in these parts.

I could be misjudging my female fellow Americans, but I don’t think so. Already, just in the course of the past two days, I’ve talked to about 30 females about this. They didn’t have a clue that it was going on. None. When they found out the details and I showed them the evidence to substantiate it…they were saddened/livid at the same time.

This is where females will just have to do what we can to take on this battle ourselves.

      • funwithknives

on this topic and vote. Lh, how many of your communicants get all their *news* from these sources? Sadly, most of ‘em, I’d bet.

But just the other day I witnessed Rather stating on Stewie’s program/Daily Show, that there is no proveable bias in the Major Media.

I really have to watch myself as-of-late , as blocking my tongue-swallowing reflex, is getting to be more frequent.

  • westcoastpatriette

And Sheila Jackson is a tyrant. It’s time to go rogue and expose the abortion industry and its supporters for the heartless people they are. Why do we continue to tolerate treating Dems with any dignity or respect when they attack conservatives who are trying to stop legal infanticide?

Republicans need to stop cowering and come out swinging to expose what really goes on in this industry. Fifty million slaughtered already. This is America’s holocaust.

22 Rs and 2 Ds in the Texas congressional delegation voted yes. 7Ds and Ron Paul voted Nay.

      Hanna (NY-24)
      Hayworth (NY-19)
      Paul (TX-14)

Now, who wants to make the argument that these folks represent conservatives?

      • http://boldcolor.blogspot.com/ Paula

than show up for a vote to protect baby girls.

      • conservativerock5

That is why pro-lifers but also constitutionalists such as Paul and Amash voted against it.

However, I personally would vote for it despite it being unconstitutional, regrettably.

But the real solution is something that Paul and Amash propose, and that is to remove the jurisdiction of the federal courts and the SC from abortion, which is Constitutional.

I am currently trying to stir up some activism for the Sanctity of Life Act among conservative groups.

        • cactusjack

yes it is a little known but absolutely correct and constitutional power Congress has, to limit (= remove) jurisdiction of SCOTUS to hear certain types or grounds of cases, i.e.,yes, they (Congress) could pass a law, “SCOTUS may not hear any cases on abortion,” but sadly that would have best been done in 1972 before Roe v Wade, not now. If anything, this court might start whittling away at the very badly reasoned, spliced together duct taped decision that was Roe v Wade. The opinion for the court in that case was not written by the majority, it was bizarrely written by the one Justice in the middle “concurring” with the side that won, thus equalling a de facto majority. That should have told us all something right there…

and lee is a real piece of work, straight socialist.

        • checkmate2012

watching the TX primary result, I actually looked at her race to see if she was ousted but no to my dismay. She’s not is my district but wanted to see her gone. BTW, the remapping Doggett got was unbelievable meaning as big as TX. Ridiculous.

          • expanding_man

It becomes a race to the bottom. Her district was set up for African American voters. The winner in these districts is the politician who panders the most to the “community activists” there, etc. We’ve seen time and again that it doesn’t matter if such politicians are barely literate, ignorant, criminals, etc. Many times these federally required minority voter districts produce the worst of the worst when it comes to politicians.

Chinese family gets hit with record fine for having second child (a girl)

    http://townhall.com/tipsheet/helenwhalen%20cohen/2012/06/03/chinese_couple_gets_record_fine_for_having_a_second_child

So, question…if the child had been a boy they still would have been hit with a fine, but because it is a girl, they get hit with the most stringent fine on record?
