Have we prayed for our leaders?

As dawn breaks over the nation this morning many thoughts touch my mind with one common theme: have I prayed enough for our leaders, even those who I do not agree with, on this matter.

I am forced to admit that I personally have not.

1 Timonthy 2:1-3 (NIV here) comes to mind a lot.

As we go through today and the coming weeks I would ask that we all hold our leaders (all of them) up in prayer to make the right decisions for our country.

Just a thought this morning which is weighing heavily on my heart.

The way I read it, we ought to pray for the leaders of every country.

“[I]f my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

I also pray that more conservatives will get inside our Party ranks at the precinct level so that we can change our Party from the inside. Shouting at it as spectators from the bleachers will not change it. The only way to change it is to get inside it and become a voting member of it.

It’s not hard. Just takes a little bit of time. Until Boehner and McConnell and the other “leaders” see conservatives flocking into the Party in their districts, don’t expect them to fight for our liberties. And just to be clear, having checked the “R” box on a voter registration form does not make you a voting member of the Party eligible to vote for the leadership of the Party. The only way you can vote for the officers of your local, county, state and RNC officers is if you become a “voting member” of the Party — called “precinct committeeman” in most states. Oh, and the “powers that be” who are already inside the Party are not going to come looking for you, as they like their little fiefdoms just fine the way they are. If YOU want to change the Party, YOU have to be proactive and seek out your committee and go to the meetings and assert yourself.

See below if you are interested.

    Pray. Recruit. Repeat.

    Thank you.

And ask to be appointed (or find out how to run for) one of the many, many vacant PC positions available. Your precinct position may just be available for the asking. Mine was. Cheers!

I have prayed for the ones on OUR side. But I have daily damned to hell the ones who are against us!
