Not sure how to start
I don’t live in a battleground state. I have 3 kids and a wife, I have a mortgage and a steady job. I probably don’t have the time I need to make a difference in this world as I am just trying to make a difference for my family.
The last 4 years I have felt this economy on my own wallet. I have seen my income stay stagnant and my costs of living rise. I have filled my car half way up because a full tank costs $100. I have seen my grocery bills become crippling to my personal finances. I have stayed home for vacations that my wife and kids deserve but we simply can’t afford. I know that my struggles are nothing compared with what 20 million out of work people deal with every day.
Our country simply cannot afford four more years of Barack Obama. We cannot afford to borrow from China to pay for government waste. We cannot afford to have a president that doesn’t understand the economy and its small business engine. We cannot put on hold our debt crisis and ignore the entitlement crunch that basic math says will destroy our country’s fiscal well being.
We have a guy running for president who has been a success at everything he has done. Not because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but because when he was given a problem he had the God given ability to solve it. He succeeded in business, in government and in raising his family. People call Mitt Romney a robot, well I want someone that is so singularly focused on turning this country around that people are going to wonder if he actually is human. I have no doubt that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will have guts to do what it takes to make this the greatest country in the world. I need to make sure everyone else realizes this to.
I don’t live in a battleground state. I spend most of my time devoted to my family. In these last few days before the most important election of my lifetime I am calling and emailing everyone I know to make sure they turn out to vote. I am asking them to call everyone they know to do the same. I am getting on facebook and twitter and putting out the good word on our candidate. I am doing everything I can no matter how little to try and make a difference.
On Tuesday, no matter what the outcome I want to know that I did not sit idly by and do nothing while our country crumbles. I may not have the ability to make THE difference in an election, but I am going to make A difference. I will not sit by and do nothing. My actions may be in vain, but they will be full of prideful effort.
What will you do? It is time to elect a President.
