Payback For Biting the Hand That Feeds You

Michelle Malkin has posted an analysis by one of her readers, MINER51. Now on moral grounds alone I can understand the argument all 211 Ds and 8 Rs that voted Aye for this bill should be defeated, but I am not making a moral argument. I am talking about House members whose votes take money out of their constituents’ pocketbooks by destroying the coal industry in their State that provides jobs and income. This kind of vote is like biting the hand that feeds you. I hope that payback is in order.

Absolutely right, Pilgrim.

It’s not enough that their votes could cripple the national economy. But even if you’re one of those people who believe a Congressman’s job is to fight only for his state (as opposed to one who gives voice for his state in issues of national interest), these guys screwed the pooch in a MASSIVE way.

I say hit them on everything.

I am glad that you have written a diary to make the moral argument. I did not make the moral argument in this diary, but that does not mean that I reject that argument. I accept it.
I came across some work a fella did to match the House members to coal producing states, and I massaged it a little. If we get voters fired up enough to vote scoundrels out of office, then I’ll be happy even if they do it for something less than a noble moral reason.

Just a small quibble. Can you put the state and congressional district next to each name? I think it would make it easier to find their opponents and other important info.

The congressional websites make it intentionally hard to
