McCain tough on Charles Hagel

I am sure alot of you have seen the video of Senator McCain grilling Chuck Hagel. Half of me wants to get up and cheer for him. The other half of me wants to ask where the hell was this John McCain during his 08  run for presidency. I would also say this should have been how they approached the hearing with Hillary Clinton. I have a feeling they backed off her for the obvious reason that they didn’t want to incur the wrath of the media and have the press tar them as chauvinistic bullies.

Now I am no fan of Chuck Hgel’s and see him as a Rhino, but maybe somebody can school me on the last time he was responsible for the four deaths of Americans. So, was it really necessary to give hm the type of grilling that should have been reserved for Mrs Clnton? Ths is not rhetorical question I really want to know why.

I also hate to sound like a broken record;but why is it we can tear our own to shreds but can’t seem to utter one unkind word to the bullies on the other side of the aisle? Do we always have to show these ingrates the class and grace they don’t deserve?

I hate to keep ripping on Republicans but we never seem to win the day by being punching bags for the left.

“So, was it really necessary to give hm the type of grilling that should have been reserved for Mrs Clnton?”

Let me try to answer your question this way. Hagel is not responsible for the deaths of any Americans, YET. I hope he is never in a position where that might happen.

they could have saved a fortune on Clint Eastwood’s fee for the Republican convention; John McCain would have played cranky old man yelling at a chair and stayed one hundred percent in character.

I’m sure Senator McCain would defer to a bigger zero, his young colleague from Florida, and the biggest ZERO of all, the most powerful man in the world, the President of the Untied States.

Senator McCain is a trillion times the Hero your (ever so moderate and pragmatic and reasonable, or so his supporters like to claim) blightbringer.

As a Vietnam veteran I have much respect for both men. I was a NCO and would love to see an enlisted person become Secretary of Defense. And as part of Operation Homecoming I was standing on the tarmac at Clark Air Base in January 1973 when John McCain and 590 other POWs deboarded the C-141s from Hanoi. They will both always be heroes to me.

We had a debate a few days ago about John Kerry. As someone who would have more than a passing interest, how do you feel about him?

I have no problem with him at State but I didn’t support him in 2004.

Ok after watching video of several Senators grilling him and based on them exposing his views, probably was necessary. The point I am making is that I want P@#$% and VInegar when it comes to confirmation hearings for a Democrat, especially if they are ultra liberal.
