Many of us wonder why our party is viewed as the idiot party, the joke of politics, that we are filled with ignorant backwater morons, well this is why. I want to introduce you to a Ron Paul acolyte Montana Representative Jerry O’Neil. You may remember this joker from his past antics such as him demanding he be paid in Gold and Silver Coins. He made this demand for two reasons, his desire to return to the Gold Standard, an absolute ludicrous proposal, and his distrust for the future value of our dollar.

Well when someone wants to further the cause of stupidity, they can achieve that goal with a just a bit of effort. Rep. O’Neil succeeded with flying colors in that endeavor. Our wonderful party member took it upon himself to introduce one of the dumbest bills to hit any Congress in this country over the last 50 years. He suggested that due to the “inhumane” long term sentences of criminals, we should offer them a choice. The choice would be to serve the sentence about to be imposed or submit to physical pain. Now of course the physical pain would be decided by the judge, but Rep O’Neil has suggested it be twenty lashes.

Setting aside the constitutional violations that a physical pain sentence would bring and the complete laughable nature of this proposal, one must look at the future problems that would arise with letting felony offenders remain free from jail simply by submitting to what really boils down to being a spanking. If I knew I could break the laws of my state and avoid any real punishment by simply submitting to a brief time of minor pain, I would be overjoyed. No liberal person, no code pink member, no jackass would be safe from my boot. Why should my boot be denied if my rear end can take a brief punishment. Heck, I bet my wife spanks harder than they would.

Not only does this proposal lack any real world common sense, it shows us just how far out in left field Ron Paul and his supporters really are. What criminal in their right mind would not trade freedom from jail and basically a free pass to commit crime in exchange for a brief period of low level pain. The ramifications to the safety of the community should this bill be taken serious is breathtaking. No one would be safe. The possibility of long term jail sentences compels many on the borderline of breaking into a life of crime from doing so. It is our natural inhibitions against confinement along with a moral compass that keeps the majority of humanity on the side of law and order. Take way the confinement, the moral compass will soon be broken.

This site’s rejection of the minions of Ron Paul should have set the standard for every legitimate republican in the country. Proposing Gold Standards, spraying chem trials with a spray bottle, interrupting due process or events in the name of the earthly “messiah, and suggesting criminals facing lengthy terms in prison should be let out of the sentence by receiving a spanking is what is damaging our reputation and making us the laughing stock of the nation. I know I grow weary of the element in our party that refuse to stop being an embarrassment and this guy and his bill have broken the back of the camel. It is time we openly reject these fringe lunatics and do what is necessary to remove them from the party. Let the libertarian party have them, they are of no use to us.

Maybe Ron Paul, his disciples, and Rep O’Neil will forgive my rudeness if I simply offer to take that spanking. Wonder how many lashes they will propose for me.

Montana, you can do better, you deserve better.

It has become the daily norm to see malicious vile coming from the left directed not only at us as Republicans, but towards our way of life as well. Who would have thought just 50 years ago that there would be a portion of this country numbering about 20% that is determined to end ours and their own freedom in order to usher in a socialist or communist state. Would we have ever thought as the Great World Wars waged that our own countrymen would call the brave men and women fighting and dying for us murdering cowards? But today, not only is that our reality, but it is becoming the norm. Schools of higher learning are inundated with leftist who brainwash our youth into this type of hateful nonsense. It is on our TVs, on our radios, our own president furthers this repulsion, and it is only getting worse.

But today I saw that Patriotism is not dead, and at least in Gamecock nation, it is flourishing. I have been blesses to be able to be a Diamond Spur for many years and because of this status and my yearly donations, I am privileged to have a suite for all Gamecock home games. I have met over the years some of the leadership of the University of South Carolina and have become steadfast friends with many of them. As with most universities, much of it leadership and teaching staff belong to the left side, but the difference here compared to many other state universities is that most of our staff still hold American dear and have not yet become fanatically hateful of the country that has given them so much.

As I sat in my suite enjoying good conversation prior to the start of the South Carolina/ Auburn game, I had the great honor of meeting a young man who had been badly injured defending our country in Afghanistan causing him to lose his leg just two weeks prior. As I sat in awe at the courage of this young man while listening to how his injury happened, I realized that with all my so called status in life, the real status lay with this hero. As he prepared to leave so that he and some others could be recognized for their service during halftime, he gratefully said thank you to those of us in the room for caring enough to have him at our game so that the cause he held dear could get national recognition. Our chance meeting was over, but I became a better man for it.

But what was to come would touch me in a way that has not happened before and may never happen again. The University of South Carolina has become quite involved in one of the greatest charities in this country, The Wounded Warrior Fund. This charity is devoted to the aftercare of our troops injured in battle regardless of their ability to pay for the care. They are promoted by some of the biggest brands in the world such as the UFC, NFL, and the NCAA. Today was the day my school was to be a part of this great organization and I was blessed to see how the great Gamecock fans would act. As halftime started, the young man I had met just hours before sat in his wheelchair on the 50 yard line joined by other warriors who had been wounded in the service of their nation.

As I sat there in my suite listening to the announcer began this honor ceremony, there was a part of me that feared the possible element in our midst who would so despise what these men stood for that their reaction to the ceremony would cause our school, our city, and our state to be blemished. I quickly scanned the area around my suite and saw every type of person from the preppy scholar to the redneck who already had a few too many beers. I saw the hippies and the jocks, the freaks and the beauties, all together waiting to see why these men stood on the field. My heart swelled with pride but also with trepidation as it all began. The first story of a brave warrior started to be unfolded, and the crowd went silent. He was a middle aged man, one who was a career soldier, wounded while in action. The crowd started to clap. The announcer continued to the next gallant man, detailing not only his service, but what his injuries were and how they were received. The roar of the crowd raised in volume and many stood, some saluting. Again, the announcer continued, right down the line until he came to the young lieutenant I had met hours before. There he was, sitting in his wheelchair, his life forever altered because he sacrificed himself for this country, for us. The roar of the crowd was deafening, few were sitting, and as the story unfolded about how this man was injured, few eyes were dry. As the announcer ended his story, this young man found the strength, two weeks after having his leg removed, to stand and I saw the entire Gamecock nation rise with him. Men and women alike stood in honor of these men, cried without embarrassment because they knew these men were what made America great. We all stood because we were Americans and we owed our gratitude to not only these men, but all who have ever served.

As the ceremony ended and the applause stopped, I took my seat like most of the others. I watched the screen inside my suite as the troops being honored stood on the field talking and having their pictures taken and I quickly said both a prayer for them and a silent thank you. But what came next is something I will never forget. As the men started to make their way along the sideline towards the student seating, those in the crowd nearest the men started to rise, remove their hats, and again, clapped. It was like the wave following these warriors as they left our stadium. As the men neared the exit near the student seating, one of the wounded men briefly stopped and looked into the crowd. As the camera following them zoomed in for a close facial shot, I saw tears running down this man’s face and saw him tell the standing cheering crowd, thank you. It was one of the most defining moments in my life. It was when being a part of the Gamecock nation meant more than football. It was when I saw that American Patriotism was alive and well no matter how hard a small minority try to destroy it. I was a Gamecock, I was an American, and I was proud.

Hollywood stars who side with the republican party, that is almost as believable as the Sahara Desert is now a cool, moist, widely desired tourist hotspot. But every once in a while a republican makes it in Hollywood and somehow retains their party allegiance in the midst of some of the most leftist people on the face of the planet. Some of these names will surprise you and will send you into a frenzied research to see just how often they have supported our side.

1) Robert Davi: You may not recognize this name, but you would almost assuredly recognize the face. With such films as The Goonies and Die Hard to his credit, Robert Davi has narrated many film montages that have aired during the Republican Conventions.

2) Clint Eastwood: “I know what you’re thinking. “Did he fire six shots or only five?” Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk? One of the most famous lines by one of the most recognizable actors ever and he has been a registered republican since 1951 and was a huge supporter of the Nixon campaign.

3) Kelsey Grammer: Made famous for his stint in the famous bar, Cheers, Kelsey has been a staunch supporter of the republican party even campaigning against the love child of the Hollywood crowd in 2008 by throwing his support behind John McCain.

4) Angie Harmon: Now this is just my personal opinion, but this quite pretty lady has the sexiest voice in all of Hollywood. My adoration for her looks combined with the sultry voice almost drove my wife to banning Law and Oder from our home. She, along with her husband, delivered a speech at the 2004 Republican Convention and she lent her support to John McCain in 2008.

5) Chuck Norris: This is the only man who could whoop the entire terrorist organization single handed using only kicks to accomplish the task. Chuck has been a staunch supporter of our party for quite some time even filling in for conservative talk show guru, Shawn Hannity.

6) Dennis Hopper: May he rest in peace but while he was alive putting up some of the worst acting ever seen on a big screen (of course he was a very distant second place to Keanu Reeves), he was a registered republican who voted for our side until disease took over his life.

7) Naomi Judd: This is a flash from the past. Naomi gave us all great country music for many years, but even better, gave us men the sexiness of her daughter Ashley who was willing to bare it all on the silver screen. She was a huge supporter of GWB and has been a registered republican before it was even cool.

8) John Elway: Greatest QB ever, enough said. Not only is he a republican, he is a conservative republican. He has even entertained the notion of running for the US Senate. Come on Elway, we will root for you in this endeavor as hard as we rooted for you to win that ring.

9) Richard Petty: Can’t have NASCAR without the all time great Richard Petty. Now retired from the actual racing, Petty owns a team who has been pretty competitive on the track. And oh yeah, he is a republican who was the republican nominee for North Carolina Secretary of State in 1996.

10) Kathy Ireland: Man, is it not nice to have the party with the most beautiful women in the world not to mention some of the most intelligent ones as well. This beautiful bombshell is a republican who have donated to numerous candidates over the years. I still think I have her calender sitting around her somewhere, going to have to look for it.

11) Jon Voight: A powerhouse figure in Hollywood, Voight has been an outspoken republican for many years. I firmly believe this willingness to side with our party is what caused the rift between Jon and his ultra liberal daughter, Angelina Jolie. Jon Voight prepared a video admonishing us to support our troops that was played at the Republican Convention.

12) Bruce Willis: Now I know you are sitting there shocked with your mouth hanging wide open, but this is not a joke. The famous “Die Hard” is not only a registered republican, but he has endorsed every republican presidential nominee with the exception of Bob Dole in 1996 and we can not really blame him for skipping that endorsement can we.

13) Dr Phil: Now this is one guy I sort of wish was on the other side, but we have to take what we can take. I just hope we are never forced to watch his show all because we lost some election.

14) Stephen Baldwin: When Stephen came out and stated he had found Christ and conservatism, I was shocked. Happy, but shocked. Who would ever expect a Baldwin brother to switch to the “dark side?” Stephen has continued to remain steadfast in his faith and his support of conservative republicans much to the chagrin of his other brothers.

15) Karl Malone: Not much of a basketball fan, but I have been told he was one of the best. I will take my source on his word when it comes to that game. Oh, and Karl has been a supporter of our party for most of his life.

16) Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock”: We all know his famous call line, “Do you smell what the Rock is cooking” even if we were not fans of wrestling. We men were also fully aware of the sway this man had on our ladies when “fighting” half naked in the ring, hence why we held the remote. But setting aside the ….ummm acting, Dwayne Johnson is a republican who delivered a speech at the Republican Convention.

17) Robert Duvall: One of the most talented actors in the last 50 years, Duvall has been a generous supporter of the republican party even receiving a personal invite to attend the 2001 inauguration of GWB. He also narrated most of the films at the 2008 Republican Convention.

18) Ben Stein: Has to be one of the smartest men in Hollywood and one of the most monotone. But these attributes are what made him a star. But what few know is that Ben Stein was a speechwriter and lawyer for President Richard Nixon and President Gerald Ford.

19) James Earl Jones: This guy’s voice was Darth Vader, how cool is that. Besides his great acting ability, it was the voice of James Earl Jones that has set him on top of the acting mountain. What makes his storied career even better is he is one of us, a republican.

20) This is my surprise, surprise number. I saved these two till last so that I could again cause your mouth to drop open wide and to cause the sockets of your eyes to swell once again. You will swear I am making this one up, but I promise you I am not. Get ready for these two names…….are you ready? Don King and LL Cool J. Are you still OK? Both of these flamboyant men are republicans who have supported our party for years. While Don King is the more politically active of the two, both have consistently supported the Presidential Republican nominee for many years. Cool ain’t it?

There are plenty more out there. Names such as Tom Selleck (board of directors for the NRA), James Woods, Kirk Cameron, Kid Rock, Lorreta Lynn, Mary Lou Retton, etc show us that there is hope in the world of the big stars. It is quite interesting to research those who have made it big but yet continue to support the only party that stands for us.

Hope you enjoyed learning we have some fans who are stars.

A world where millions upon millions believe in non scientific claims that our world will soon burst into a ball of flame or sink under the weight of the massive floods or become a huge chunk of ice or………well you get the point.

I firmly believe in conservation and become disgusted and angry when I see stupid abuse of the resources we have been blessed with. I have always enjoyed hunting and want to see my son have the same opportunities that I was able to have. I want him to be able to purchase his own plot of clean land one day, but at the same time I do not want him to be scared to breathe should he kill some useless algae somewhere on the planet. I want him to respect the life of others, even the animal life so that one day I do not read about him in the paper after being caught in a Michael Vick moment. But I also teach him that while our planet and all its inhabitants are part of our responsibilities to the God who created it for our pleasure, I do not want him to give up his own mind in order to buy into the nonsense of the wacko left.

Why do I want him to think and use the brain God gave him, because I do not want to see him do what this very intelligent man has done. There is a point where advocacy turns into stupidity and this scientist has long crossed the line.

Mitsuyuki Ikeda, a researcher from the Okayama Laboratory, has developed steaks based on proteins from human excrement. Tokyo Sewage approached the scientist because of an overabundance of sewage mud. They asked him to explore the possible uses of the sewage and Ikeda found that the mud contained a great deal of protein because of all the bacteria.

The researchers then extracted those proteins, combined them with a reaction enhancer and put it in an exploder which created the artificial steak. The “meat” is 63% proteins, 25% carbohydrates, 3% lipids and 9% minerals. The researchers color the poop meat red with food coloring and enhance the flavor with soy protein. Initial tests have people saying it even tastes like beef.

Inhabitat notes that “the meatpacking industry causes 18 percent of our greenhouse gas emissions, mostly due to the release of methane from animals.” Livestock also consume huge amounts of resources and space in efforts to feed ourselves as well as the controversy over cruelty to animals. Ikeda’s recycled poop burger would reduce waste and emissions, not to mention obliterating Dante’s circle for gluttons.

Yes you read that right, it was not a typo. Soon all of us earth killing pooping humans will be able to slather Heinz 57 sauce all over a steak made from the very stuff we rush to flush down our glorious ceramic thrones. Now instead of our waste going to waste, someone will be there to collect our smelly specimen so that it can be transformed into a steak fit for the grill. I guess this is where we have been heading as someone had to realize normal human body functions could not be safe for mother earth and had to be recycled, but I am sorry, no person, animal, or planet is worth me consuming my own poo much less yours no matter they spices the put in it. This is a prime example of hysteria taken way too far and I for one will not be lining up to save the planet on this one.

Memorial day is the one day set aside in this country to remember those who have paid the ultimate price to keep this country free. It is the one day where their ultimate sacrifice is remembered and they are our heroes. I would like to introduce one such hero and allow him to be the face of this very important day.

Ross A. McGinnis was born on June 14th 1987 to Romayne and Tom McGinnis in Meadville PA. As a young boy his family moved to Knox PA where he became active in the Boy Scouts and multiple sports. Ross’ parents stated that even as a young boy, he had his sights set on a military career even writing a paper in kindergarten named "When I grow up I want to be an Army Man." Much of his early years were spent dreaming about becoming a warrior in the United States Army.

Ross continued with his plans to enter the Army by enlisting in the Delayed Entry Program when he was 17 and then saw his dream come to fruition when he entered basic training at Fort Benning in Georgia. After completing his basic training, Ross was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, in Ledward Barracks, in Schweinfurt, Germany. Nearly his first year in the military went by with no action and he remained in Germany until in August of 2006, at age 19, when his unit deployed to Iraq.

Ross was assigned to the .50 caliber roof mounted machine gun of the Humvee in his unit. After only four months of service inside Iraq, on December 4th, his unit came under fire from insurgents. Shortly after the firefight had began, a grenade was thrown into his vehicle. Ross screamed out to his fellow soldiers that the grenade was in their truck so that they could brace for the explosion. But what he did next would define this young mans life and the courage he had.

Gunners are taught to exit through the upper hatch when a live ordinance enters the truck. If they move quick enough they are assured little to no damage from the resulting blast. But Ross knew that while he would most likely escape without injury, his fellow warriors stuck inside the truck would take the full blast of the grenade which would more than likely kill each and every one of them. Ross made that split second decision that separates the men from the heroes. After he had screamed the warning to the other men, Ross threw himself on the grenade absorbing the blast into his back, killing him instantly. His heroic decision cost him his young life, but saved the other four men in his Humvee. It is believed that without his protection, all would have been killed.

At age 19, Ross McGinnis gave his life so that other could live and carry on the fight. His heroic actions put him in an esteemed place as only three others since the beginning of the Iraq war have been known to sacrifice their lives by throwing themselves on a live grenade. These fellow heroes are Corporal Jason Dunham, Navy Seal Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Monsoor, Sergent Rafael Peralta. His actions brought him an honored burial at the Arlington Cemetery, section 60, site 8544 and the Medal of Honor which was only the fourth given out at that time for actions performed in the Iraqi war.

The Medal of Honor Citation read as follows:

Private First Class Ross A. McGinnis distinguished himself by acts of gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty while serving as an M2 .50-caliber Machine Gunner, 1st Platoon, C Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, in connection with combat operations against an armed enemy in Adhamiyah, Northeast Baghdad, Iraq, on December 4, 2006. That afternoon his platoon was conducting combat control operations in an effort to reduce and control sectarian violence in the area. While Private McGinnis was manning the M2 .50-caliber Machine Gun, a fragmentation grenade thrown by an insurgent fell through the gunner’s hatch into the vehicle. Reacting quickly, he yelled "grenade," allowing all four members of his crew to prepare for the grenade’s blast. Then, rather than leaping from the gunner’s hatch to safety, Private McGinnis made the courageous decision to protect his crew. In a selfless act of bravery, in which he was mortally wounded, Private McGinnis covered the live grenade, pinning it between his body and the vehicle and absorbing most of the explosion. Private McGinnis’ gallant action directly saved four men from certain serious injury or death. Private First Class McGinnis’ extraordinary heroism and selflessness at the cost of his own life, above and beyond the call of duty, are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.

This day is a special day in this country and should be a day where we remember all those who have died building this country and keeping it free. It takes blood to save our freedoms and it takes a special person who is willing to shed their blood to protect the country they love. Let us never forget those who have died for us.

“He will raise a flag among the nations for Israel to rally around. He will gather the scattered people of Judah from the ends of the earth.” Isaiah 11:12 (NLT)

“Who has ever seen or heard of anything as strange as this? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin, the baby will be born; the nation will come forth.” Isaiah 66:8 (NLT)

“‘But the time is coming,’ says the Lord, ‘when people who are taking an oath will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who rescued the people of Israel from the land of Egypt.’ Instead, they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the people of Israel back to their own land from the land of the north and from all the countries to which he had exiled them.’ For I will bring them back to this land that I gave their ancestors.” Jeremiah 16:14-15 (NLT)

War and rumors of war were daily news. Reports were starting to flood in about the extermination of the Jews under Adolph Hitler, but we were yet to know the full extent of the atrocities. Most outside of Germany were not familiar with the Mein Kampf which was authored by Adolph Hitler nor did we know the just how deep the hatred of all that was Jew that existed in Germany. It was not until late in the war, when extermination camps were discovered, that the full extent of the atrocities committed by the Nazi Army came to light. It would be years after the war when the world would know just how many Jews lost their lives at the hands of the Germans and it would shake the world to its core.

Going back to the early 1900′s up until the end of World War Two, no one would have believed that the small area between Syria and Egypt would soon be the free nation of Israel. If someone would have stood up and proclaimed that on May 14, 1948, Israel would proclaim its independence, they would have been laughed out of town. But this is what was to occur thanks to the massive effort starting in 1881 called the First Aliyah. Austro-Hungarian journalist Theodor Herzl created the first real movement to create the state of Israel and was influential in starting what would become the pilgrimage of scattered Israelis back to the area of their ancestors. Most of these immigrants during these times came from Russia and were escaping pogroms that were occurring in many areas of the world. The number of settlers during these years are up for argument, although some put the number to be around 30,000 or so.

It was not until the Second Aliyah that a foundation started to form for the Israeli people in that area. The second Aliyah began around 1904 and it saw around 40,000 Jews make the move back to their ancestry land. While about half of these new immigrants turned around and left by 1914, the ones who had stayed began to form the basis of what would become the state of Israel. During both of the Aliyah movements, a vast majority of the new settlers were Orthodox Jews, but in the second Aliyah, social pioneers made up a large portion of the immigrants. These social pioneers established the Kibbutz movement that in turned created social environments dedicated to establishing communities of self sufficient Israelis. It was also during these years that the Israeli Legion was formed and would end up aiding the British in defeating Palestine.

Due to strong Arab protests over the invasion of Palestine, in 1920 Arab Riots began and to counter these issues, the Haganah was formed. The creation of the Haganah would end up being the most important act in the young countries existence because the creation of Haganah resulted in troops trained to defend the young state and this would be key in a few years.

The Third and Fourth Aliyahs occurred during the years 1919-1929 and brought around 100,000 Jews to what would become the state of Israel. While the Third and Fourth were not the key movements, they were important due to the large amount of educated and skilled Jews that moved to the area bringing with them key skills that allowed for the building of key aspects of society that would allow Israel to be self sufficient. But the largest influx of Israeli settlers would come due to the rise of Nazi Germany and the persecution that occurred. With the Fifth Aliyah, nearly a quarter of a million Jews immigrated to the area. It was due to this large immigration that the Arab states of that area became violent and worried. The Arab Revolt started in 1936 and while during most of the first year it remained non violent, the revolt had the British worried. When the revolt became violent in 1937, the British forces along with the Palestinian Police took action finally ending the revolt in 1939. The British powers deemed the immigration by the Jews as being dangerous to the stability of the region so they signed the White Paper act into law in 1939. This act basically made it illegal for new Jewish immigrants to enter the region no matter the reason. The problem with the act was that millions of Jews were escaping Nazi territory only to be turned away by neighboring countries leaving them without a place to go. It was because of this environment that the Aliyah Bet was formed in order to smuggle displaced Jews and those who were able to escape the Nazi’s attempts to exterminate the Jewish population into the region. The secret Aliyah Bet were able to get most of these Jews into the region and actually increased the entire Jewish population by almost 33%. Many of these incoming Jews were trained in military arts and had been soldiers themselves. Many of these new immigrants joined with already formed defense groups and were even able to instruct these groups in the newest technologies of war. This would be vital to the saving of the young Jewish nation in 1948.

By the end of the Fifth Aliyah, the Jewish settlement had grown weary of the British rule and the belief that the British were unwilling to grant the Jews their own separate nation. In 1945, all the defense groups of Israel joined forces to fight the British and to force them out of the area. This conflict came to a head in 1947 when the British backed out of the Mandate of Palestine and stated they did so because they could not find a solution to both sides of the Arab Jew conflict. While the British were backing off from forcing a solution for the conflict, the Newly formed United Nations was being lobbied by both the Jews and the United States to create a new resolution granting the Jews their own state. The effort was successful and on November 29, 1947, the United Nations passed United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 granting the Jews their own nation separate from the Palestinian state. The Jews accepted this proposal almost immediately and just as quickly the Arab League rejected it. On December 1, 1947, the Arab Higher Committee announced a strike and within hours, the Jews were being attacked. Civil war had broke out and the end result was 250,000 Palestinians were ejected from the newly formed Jewish state.

On May 14, 1948, the newly formed Jewish state announced to the world its independence and named its new country, Medinat Yisrael, or the State of Israel. Just one day later the Arab countries of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq attacked Israel in what would be known as the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. This war would last for years and would eventually lead to a cease fire agreement, albeit a temporary one, and a division of the country known as the Green line. While this was not the final battle that would be waged, it was the first test of the young countries abilities to defend its borders against its enemies. While this war was raging, nearly one year to the day later, the state of Israel was accepted to to the United Nations as a member by majority vote on May 11, 1949. It was at this moment that the nation of Israel was reaffirmed and solidified.

Many more conflicts and wars would occur over nearly the next 30 years including a key war called the Six Day conflict. It was during this war that Israel took control over key points in West Bank, Gaza Strip, Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, and Jerusalem’s boundaries were enlarged, incorporating East Jerusalem and the Western Wall. In 1977, the Knesset elections occurred which marked the changing point in the history of the Jewish nation and would bring about the end of conflicts between the state of Israel and its Arab neighbors. For the first time in the history of Israel, the head of state of an Arab nation recognized the right of Israel to be a state. Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat made a trip to Israel and spoke before the Knesset announcing his recognition of Israel and its right to be sovereign. This act was key to ending the hostilities between Israel and the Arab League.

Since the announcement, Israel has not faced an attack from its Arab neighbors although it was not an end to hostilities or the tacit support of hostilities by some Arab nations. The ongoing hostilities have originated from Palestinian terrorist and other similar terrorist groups, not the Arab nations directly.

While many nations and groups had a hand in creating the state of Israel, it was the direct support and involvement of the United States that was the biggest factor in not only the creation of the state of Israel, but its recognition as a sovereign state by the world and the United Nations. This original effort from the United States has lead to years of a close friendship between the two nations and has been a tremendous benefit to both countries. The creation of the state of Israel and the bond between our countries is quite intriguing and worth the effort to learn about the history of the Israeli nation and our mutual friendship. I hope these videos get your curiosity peaked and you look further into the history of Israel.

Every election year, I like many others sit in front of my television watching boring men tell me what they think I want to hear. They pander to my fears, my concerns, my faith…….to just about everything everyone thinks about. And year after year we stumble to the voter booth to cast a vote for the one we perceive as being the lesser of the evils and who we feel will not screw us quite as bad as the rest. Long gone are the days of the amazing candidate, you know the one that when they speak we rise to our feet not of our own accord, an American flag appears in our hands that we did not even know we owned, and the words “God Bless you” stream from between our lips. Well the days of immense boredom and choosing the not so bad guy have come to an end with the announcement that came out of New York today. Let me be the first to introduce you to the newest entry into the republican race for the nomination………..wait for it……….wait………

“Rent is too damn high” man, Jimmy McMillan. Never before have I seen such honesty, such brilliance, such a one line truth. And did I mention one of the most bitching mustaches known to man? I mean this guy has it all, honesty, integrity, catchy one liners, a way with a cuss word, a mastership of karate, and a way to make that mysterious American flag appear in my hand. And did I mention, a bitching mustache? Too bad New York chose Andrew Cuomo to be their governor over this wonderful man, but we get the chance to correct that mistake.

I want to introduce you to the republican version, albeit a much superior version, of a Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton mixture. If you can watch this video without jumping to your feet, holding the amazing appearing American flag, and without stating “God bless you” time after time after time, I will have to state you are without a soul.

And now for a song about this great man, please enjoy!

What republican can stand against this new entry. I say none!

PS As I know you are already preparing the abusive comment so that I can know from you just how pathetic my choice is, let me make something very clear, this was snark and nothing more. Although I still say he is a better choice than Ron Paul.

Usually, I would write some lengthy piece expressing my thoughts on some matter, but simply viewing the video is better than any words I can write.

As you view the video, remember to thank God for our universities and colleges across the country as they are the ones who send morons like this lady out on the unsuspecting masses.

My challenge to you, respond to this absurdity with an appropriate picture or video along with any words you may feel are needed. And do not forget to get your own can of rare air filled with energy after you finish watching. Hint: Looking for some original Charlie Brown “good grief” pics or some great hand palm pics.
