Vogue.com Loves The CINO, Huntsman. Ask Yourself, “Why?”

The Vogue article on Jon Huntsman is the most recent attempt by the media to pick the GOP candidate for conservative.  The 110% fluff piece is written by Jacob Weisberg, a writer for Newsweek and is editor-in-chief of The Washington Post’s Slate Group, and portrays the former Utah governor is a highly favorable light.  Normally, when a GOP candidate gets favorable press, conservative fall to their knees to thank God for the mana that has fallen from the heavens.  However, a liberal writing a fluff piece on a CINO (conservative in name only) draws a red flag and I am not falling for it.

who said ANYTHING about an introductory piece?
Please, stop pretending Vogue did something they didn’t, and go burn that strawman already.

And so far, the ones who are influenced is you: Huntsman is OF COURSE THE best chance repubs have to beat Obama. They nicely manipulated your buttocks away from him.
There’s whole tribes out there that hate Romneys guts, Indies won’t swallow OPerry, so what’s left is Huntsman.
Huntsmans girl-next-door looks would have pulled in a lot of the bimbo indies vote, who felt unsure about Obama: “My daddy is a Repub, and he only goes for the black girls anyway ….”

This is a conservative site, to promote conservative values.
It seams you are here just to poke people in the eye.
I see your days here will not be long if you keep doing this.

      That’s a twofer.

      Shoo, Sparky.

the only poking I do is holes in your logic, and perhaps your grammar.

And I’m trying to stand up for my father and my uncles here, who are and were lifelong police officers.

I mean, if you don’t wanna be challenged, if you just wanna hear yourself echo back, that’s maybe fine to you, but it won’t get you very far.

And last I checked, conservative values don’t entail to be goose stepping with the site owners, out of fear to be kicked off.
“You should quit while you are behind.” ??????
    Really????

So, is that a threat to agree with you no matter what, or else?
the phrase is “You should quit while you are AHEAD.” No, no, I get your flat falling joke. It falls flat cos I haven’t seen ONE real argument against my points.

Of course you COULD win this discussion, by having your bouncer kick me out …… :)

There’s me criticizing your nonexisting logic (which I did), and there’s criticizing conservative values (which I haven’t done).
    see the difference.

Second, who cares about spelling and grammer.
Third, so far all you have done is to throw out bombs, and shown you really don’t have any arguements to make.
Forth, I don’t have any bouncers, but keep it up and I am sure the hall monitor will be by shortly.

And homer, your first post to this article clearly shows you have a reading comprehension problem.
I would fix that first before commenting any further.

i have seen all kinds of trolls here. but this is the first liberal troll for huntsman to show up. of course huntsman only polls at about 2% so i guess that is right on with the numbers. oh, is there a category below ”fringe candidate” that we can rate huntsman in. fringe candidates usually get 6% to 8% support and huntsman wont get over 2%. shall we call it the ”i have 8 whole supporters and 5 of them are my family” classification.

i mean pawlenty was spanking huntsman in the polls and tim quit because he didnt have a viable chance at winning, come on, a huntsman backer. LOL.

          • gekster

You are talking to a ghost now.

          • mikeymike143

the steel general. but you responded to him twice already so i ended up underneath you. i guess i was in shock, this was my first sighting of a huntsman supporter. i didnt know they actually existed in real life. LOL. by the way, he us currently polling at 2%. that means 49 out of 50 republican primary voters think huntsman is a joke as a candidate.

  • thesteelgeneral

“Second, who cares about spelling and grammer.”

    granmmEr?

I kind of rest my case.

Again: Are you threatening me, to always agree with you, or else?

    • lineholder

or other conservatives in general, you won’t last long at RS. That’s what gekster is trying to tell you. And he’s correct about that. This is something that the moderators of the site do not view kindly. They are more than willing to exercise a fair amount of leeway in their discretionary of use of banning policies, but if they all see from a poster time after time is “bash and trash”, especially if it’s a newbie…just don’t expect them to be long-suffering and overly-tolerant on that point.

If you want to present facts that support your position that Huntman is the best candidate, then you’re more than welcome to do so.

  • thesteelgeneral

Just cos they like him, he’s not a conservative anymore?
Denounce on the basis of what he says, not cos Vogue likes him, who cares what they think?

    Oh, you care.

Hey wait, does that mean that the liberal media has influenced you?

  • gekster

The guy who is such a stand-up conservative that Obama picked him to be Ambassador to China.

  • Jeff Cooper

Picking a candidate based on their merit is implied. I stand by my point that the purpose of the Vogue.com article is written to influence voters, and is not simply an introductory piece.

    Did you read the article?

  • http://908StraightSt.wordpress.com/ mbecker908

the OP is a comment fit for an open thread not taking up space as a diary – your four lines don’t make a comment. You obviously have no point, other than the one on your head.

Being featured in Vogue is not likely to be a good bump on the resume for a conservative. Oh, and Huntsman’s positions are a whole lot closer to those of the current administration than they are anybody in the current field of Republican candidates.

  • thesteelgeneral

I really liked the part that associated McMaster, who want’s to hunt Democrats like “dawgs”, with Huntsman (no pun intended). I guess that will really sit will the rest of the conservative crowd.

  • thesteelgeneral

    Jeff,
yep …yep… I can see how that whole job creation record of Huntsman, could be offensive to Tea Party lovers. They must really be angry about him getting Utah’s unemployment to a record 2.3% low.

Huntsman made Utah 1st in job creation while Romney was 47th….

But I’d really like to know what your problem with the article is.

If anything, this will lure Independents away from the Democrats.
