This is my first Diary, and I’m rather uncertain of the formatting, but I felt it was important information. So please forgive me if it looks yucky.
A number of Red State members have been frustrated by not being able to get through to Senators Collins, Snowe, Specter, and Voinovich by telephone. You can try emailing them or sending a FAX to their Washington DC office. Here is the contact information:

Specter needs to be kicked from office in 2010
paddyflan Saturday, February 7th at 5:16PM EST (link)Coming from PA, I am absolutely disgusted with Specter as well as the Maine Rino duo for supporting the Democratic shopping list… AKA stimulus bill. I truely hope that the Republican party wakes up and gets these rino idiots out of the party especially Specter. Specter needs to be reminded everyday of his betrayal to this state but more so to his country. Bring on 2010, not only to get the House back but to get Specter out before he does anymore damage to the country and the Republican Party.
I have always kinda liked Specter.
jeffreywturner Monday, February 9th at 12:06AM EST (link)Mainly his personality, and the few occasions where he actually helped the GOP (ie: Clarence Thomas). However, this is a watershed moment.
I think we need Mitch McConnell to call a caucus meeting right before the vote on final passage of this bill and tell the GOP senators to consider the vote the same as the organizational vote. That is, it will determine from whom you receive committee assignments, etc. for the rest of the current Congress.
Seriously, we should oust any supporters from the caucus PRIOR to the vote so that the communization bill can not be associated with the GOP in any way.

Only supported Thomas because he had too.
Princeliberty Monday, February 9th at 9:19AM EST (link)After Specter nuked Bork he had to support Thomas or go down in to defeat in 1992.
And you have to go back 18 years to find something he did right?!

Specter's not all bad
GreyCloak Monday, February 9th at 7:14AM EST (link)Ayup … fire Specter and lose another Republican seat in the Senate! Is this a problem? Obviously not … he’s sooooo bad that a Democrat in the office would be infinitely better!
I don’t always agree with Specter. but he worked for years on an issue with which I was much concerned … my own Republican Senator sank the measure (thanks to a ~$million from lawyer interests) … and didn’t even remember the Bill, when I asked him about it in DC!
Please do not forget that our representatives get elected to represent their constituents … if some State or another doesn’t agree entirely with The Party Line, DEAL WITH IT! Be thankful for the support no matter how tentative, sometimes.
Regarding the “stimulus:’ It is “no so good” … but may be necessary for those who haven’t saved anything. If you are still working, support it. If you bought a real cool house for no, little or 5% down payment, walk away and get a trailer!
Primaries
bs Monday, February 9th at 8:40AM EST (link)That is what they are for. We should be diligent in recruiting and supporting a primary opponent to bump this schmuck out of office. He got a free ride in years past when his butt was covered by moderate Republicans. This should not happen again.
Decorum is fo’ suckas - unless it’s one of the good guys
Specter is worse
Princeliberty Monday, February 9th at 9:30AM EST (link)I think Specter is worse than the dear ladies from Maine.
He is more pro-big government that they are. Further, he has outright contempt for conservatives that the ladies do not share.
Recall in 1996 when he ran for President and about all he did was say vile things about the religious right. He showed an outright hate not just disagreement.

My Email to Sen. Specter (I bet I'll get audited next year)
jeffreywturner Monday, February 9th at 12:30AM EST (link)Senator Specter,
Though I am not one of your constituents, I admire your accomplishments and appreciate your service to America and to the Republican Party. However, I am deeply troubled by the recent reports that you are considering supporting the stimulus bill currently before the Senate.
I am a conservative activist, and I recognize that this bill represents an abandonment of everything that has made America the greatest country in the history of the Earth. Our party must be an anchor to prevent the communization of this great nation. We spent a half-century, thousands of lives, and billions of dollars to defeat communism abroad. All of this will have been in vain if we allow that inherently evil system to take root here.
I supported your re-election in 2004 even when many of my ideological brethren did not, but please be advised; if you vote for this bill, my wife and I will each contribute the maximum amount of money allowable by law to any conservative primary challenger you may face next year, even if it means that we will have to borrow money to do so. In addition, I will take leave from my job in order to come to Pennsylvania and volunteer for the campaign of any such challenger.

No worries; you'll likely get the same reply I did
JustLeaveMeAlone Monday, February 9th at 2:41AM EST (link)which was a form letter, informing me that I should contact my own senators; as I am not a resident of PA, he has no time to address my concerns.

Of course he doesn't
GreyCloak Monday, February 9th at 7:21AM EST (link)He’s never going to run for President. The RNC might be interested in your views (if they gave a defecation), but Senators not running for the Presidency don’t care what non-constituents think … nor should they.
He will care.
jeffreywturner Monday, February 9th at 8:21PM EST (link)When we inundate his opponent with enough money to saturate the airwaves throughout the primary season with pictures and quotes of Specter looking and sounding like a liberal, he will begin to care, and unlike Joe Lieberman, he is not popular enough to be elected as an independent, so he HAS to get nominated by Republicans to stand a chance.

Now would be a good time...
