but why does VRA only apply to Southern States? Doesn’t that sorta imply they still have a racist mentality which has been proven to be incorrect? The last I checked their are many elected African Americans ( many statewide even in many of these states). If DOJ needs to OK these states maps they might as OK every state map so it truly is equal and fair.

thats been my point. I don’t think the VRA is needed anymore too

i think my wording was over the top in that I meant the DOJ needs to OK it seems basically only Southern states to adhere to VRA measure

Why do SC, NC, TX, GA, etc need to have DOJ OK their maps when states like NY, IL, CA with high minority population don’t?

Obama has been trying to destroy Rick Perry and the state of TX every since he got into office. Obama is determined to essentially order districts for Democrats. He wants to achieve by court order what can’t be achieved by voters in elections. Typical Democrat dirty dealing.
