If they’re too young to have lived through it, then they can Google Gingrich and find the info. on Wikipedia. There’s no excuse for their stupidity.

Many people in Florida just want a respectable President. Romney fits that bill. They believe Romney is conservative–after alll he says conservative things, he says he will do conservative things, he knows the right things to say.

ME? I know Romney from his record. You do not oppose Reagan and then quietly change your world view to think that conservatism is right. It can happen that people change their views (Reagan was a FDR democrat) but his change in attitudes occured over a longer period of time and there were circumstances that explained why his attitudes changed—you could see his views were changing AND why.

With Romney I see none of that. He still speaks in ways that make me believe he is not a conservative. He still defends every part of his RomneyCare except for the parts which were changed later. His tax proposal is weak (same as McCain) and his idea to provide funding to states so they can help people buy health insurance will lead to decisions being made in Washington and carried out (by force) by the states–not any better than ObamaCare especially if Democrats get a chance to change it in some future Congress.
