Got a tweet today that Colin Powell was announcing the unveiling of http://www.usaservice.org
I looked at the site and decided to check the registrant. It tuns out that it is Blue State Digital. This is the same shop running MYBO and Change.gov. Obama is not happy with the 13 million e-mail addresses (mostly liberal), now he has to try to gather Republican (moderates..ne squishy) e-mails masquerading under the name of Colin Powell.
If Powell is so mad at us, why does’nt he just leave and go over to the dark side. It is pretty duplicitous of him to offer up his name in such a covert manner. No doubt they are going to collect these e-mails and use to pressure Congress to implement the Socialist agenda all in accordance with Rahm Emanuels dogma of using crisis to implement change. I would think that Powell of all should realize that decisions made in crisis are far more subject to error. If he wants to covertly assist in that, have to wonder where his allegiance lies. Yeah I know this will be controversial. He and the libs will scream. Maybe they were too naive to understand the import?

The only place they volunteer is with animals and the environment. I am a CONSERVATIVE who has been involved in Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army angel tree program, animal rescue, food pantries, respite care, pet therapy, farming & gardening volunteer programs, nursing home visiting and much more. Like I said above, aside from the animal rescue volunteering, I was surrounded by Republicans. So, good luck, sell-out, i.e. Colin Powell. Glad to see you got “paid” for showing what you truly are (a Democrat).

Gen. Powell is a product of Affirmative Action. As an African-American allegedly in the Republican party, he was one of only a few. Whereas in the Democrat party he would have been one of thousands. So Gen. Powell was a Republican when the GOP was running the White House so long as it got him promoted. Natl Sec Adv. CJCS and Secy of State. The GOP was desperate to shed the perception that it was not open to African-Americans. He knew it and he used it to benefit himself.
Gen. Powell has never advocated conservative philosophy and he has never agreed with the GOP platform. Do not give Gen. Powell any credibility as a Repulblican. He is an Opportunist and nothing more.

He had the class, (or maybe it was out of necessity), to keep his politics to himself while serving an administration.
I’ve known he was no conservative for many years, (>>8.)
I am constantly surprised by the number of people who are shocked to find out he isn’t.
Don’t be too hard on him for being what you assumed he was not.
He hung out with less conservative conservatives,( i.e. Bushes), and from reports is a pretty decent fellow.
This led many to assume he was conservative since he neither confirmed nor denied same.
He has now cleared the confusion, thank you, General, and shown that he has no place in a conservative party.
Now, if we can get rid of the rest of the squishes in the Republican party. Uh, doesn’t leave much, does it.
