Mitch McConnell has denied Harry Reid’s request that the GOP drop their debate time so staffers and Senators can go home for the weekend.  Reid also has a fundraiser that he wants to attend to in New Orleans (what about going to your own home state) because his re-election chances are in the crypt right now.  In reality, Dingy Harry is using desperate measures to get Obamacare done by Christmas and even Reid is beginning to realize that Senators are going to have to vote for Obamacare in an election year.  Too much to do and too little time.  Combine this with some salty outrage from constituents during the recess and it is very hard to imagine a bill is going to come out of the Senate before the 2010 elections.  I wouldn’t count the Democrats out for anything but given Reid’s actions in the last week, I don’t see Obamacare coming out of the Senate.
