The consequences?

Few things make will make Nancy Pelosi happier than large numbers of conservatives failing to respond to the census. If we do not respond, we will not be counted and if we are not counted, then we effectively will not exist. That would reduce conservatives’ power in elections, allow Democrats to draw more favorable congressional boundaries and help put more tax-hiking politicians in office.

I know the party in power has been trampling on the Constitution lately.  Kind of ironic that they are choosing to at least obey the Constitution when it comes to taking the census.  We need to make sure that we can elect the type of representatives we want in Washington.

    and the subject of the census came up during the question and answer time. He said the same thing and added that he filled out the form as the census power is set forth in the Constitution — it’s supposed to be a head count.

    So, he noted the number of people who lived in his household. That’s it.

    That’s the way I approached it, too.

      Gave ‘em a head count. Hard to answer some of the “ethnicity” question since we’re all pretty mixed… so just put down “American”.

      A University professor working on a constitutional capitation issue went to inspect the actual copy of the Constitution. He said (Steven Willis) what has been repeated to be the phrase census of enumeration is actually census or enumeration; one or the other.
      I sent mine in.

    Would it really be a bad thing if Massachusetts lost a seat? I know the minions are out in full force finding mythical illegals in every basement to keep the numbers and financing up and keep Mass a ten seat state.

    At this point, I’m afraid, it’s really up to Glenn Beck and Michelle Bachmann to encourage their base about the importance of doing the census forms. I’m kind of doubtful about their followers all of a sudden agreeing to doing even a “head count” version.

    Has anybody heard Beck and Bachmann lately, encouraging people to send in their forms?
