The Bushification of Rick Perry Begins

We saw this with President Bush during his entire presidency.  Oh, the left did this to Reagan too.  Looks like the left is already lining their sights up on Rick Perry.  Their meme?  Perry is stupid because he didn’t get good grades in college.  On top of that, they are throwing gay smears against him as well.  Of course, Obama hasn’t released his college transcripts and Donald Trump hammered him on this in the spring.  We cannot expect anything less than a double standard from liberals.  Wasn’t it the intellectual elite whom got this country into a big mess in the first place?

It is pretty apparent the left is going to try to take out Rick Perry before he has a chance to get off the ground.  Maybe rightfully so since it is pretty much consensus that Perry would be an awfully formidable candidate.  Democrats and some establishment Republicans fear Rick Perry the most.  Maybe that tells us this is our candidate?

The way I see this shaking out is the race will come down to Romney, Perry, and Bachmann.  If Rick Perry wins Iowa, he will likely cruise to the nomination.  If Bachmann wins Iowa, then it is likely to be a very close horse race between the three but the longer Bachmann is in the equation, this may allow Mitt Romney to eek out a nomination win as Bachmann and Perry are likely to split the conservative vote.  Can Bachmann win the GOP nomination?  Personally, I think she’ll have a very hard time competing with the awesome record that Rick Perry has built up in his three terms as governor of Texas.  If Bachmann falls out of the race, she and Sarah Palin will likely endorse Perry and that will seal things.

Interesting race we have ahead of us.

This guy is Paul Ryan on crack

Opponents have run against Perry’s 2002 transportation plan, a system of new toll roads and railways that would have required a massive land acquisition by the state and could have increased consumer costs.

They’ve tried to paint him as a wine-drinking career politician who has reaped a small fortune from political cronies. They’ve slammed him for mandating that young girls receive a cervical-cancer vaccine unless their parents opted out. And the governor became a late-night comedy laugh line when he appeared to flirt with secessionism at a Tea Party rally.

After all that, his last really close race was in 1998.

“This guy is Paul Ryan on crack,” says Stanford. “Everything Paul Ryan wants to do on a national scale, Perry has already done here.”

    And then there’s, well, Texas.

Perry leads a state that is physically larger than almost 200 countries in the world. It’s 25 times the size of Romney’s Massachusetts and 87 times the size of Bachmann’s congressional district. It has its own pledge of allegiance. Even with its majority-minority demographics, it went for John McCain by almost 12 points in the last election. The official slogan of the Office of Economic Development and Tourism is — this is actually true — “Texas. It’s like a whole other country.”

I had read this recently as well. “This guy is Paul Ryan on crack.” I couldn’t imagine a better compliment that they could have given him.

….”let me show you my shocked face.”

Of course, we don’t know Obama’s grades because his transcript has never been released. I don’t really care, but I suspect they are likely mediocre, and that would blow a big hole in the “Obama is a genius” meme (although I’m sure the left would have an explanation for that. His genius was probably being constricted by the classroom environment).

Also, if you question why his transcript hasn’t been released the left will try to turn you into the equivalent of a birther. It must be nice to have it both ways.

    From CBS news

“A mixed group of religious leaders in Houston say Gov. Rick Perry’s day-long prayer meeting plays favorites to Christianity.”
The rally took place in Reliant Stadium in Houston. Reportedly about 30,000 attended as Perry addressed the crowd.
CBS news showed protesters outside the rally calling his presence at the rally a violation between church and state. One woman interviewed by CBS was wearing a tanktop encaptioned “godless princess”.

What can you expect when the Federal government subsidises institutions who are hellbent upon brainwashing the public into excluding Christianity from our society and embracing Sharia Law?
