This is just horrible. We cannot let this go unchallenged. South Park used to be pretty good but it’s been sliding lately and now they’ve completely gone over to the side of the devils.
How dare they mock and attack Glenn Beck, one of the few people with a microphone who dares to question the socialistic direction 0bamessiah and the 0bamedia are taking us in. Glenn Beck is a PATRIOT and a REAL AMERICAN not like those leftist pot smoking degenerates who make that filthy cartoon.
If you love your country as much as Beck does, then stop watching South Park and stop watching the so-called “Comedy” Central all together. There is nothing really worth watching on that perverted freak parade of socialism, naziism, and subversive terrorist loving outfit.
“I’m mad as Hell and I’m not gonna take it anymore!!!!!!!”

They'll probably just drive up Beck's ratings
civil_truth Thursday, November 12th at 7:52PM EST (link)We don’t want to boycott them - that just lets them play the martyr card.
No, full exposure is the best - then people can see clearly the equipment those folks are missing and turn away in digust.
And Rightly So!
Beck will probably have them on the show
SteveLA Thursday, November 12th at 7:54PM EST (link)red_dawn
I think Beck will get the joke, heck I’ll even make a prediction. Beck will try to get the boys from South Park on the show for some firing back at them from his side. I won’t even be surprised to see Beck have a segment where he reads the FOX “announcements” for the day. Beck is many things, but taking himself too too seriously is not one of them.
Now pass me some Smurf Berries and chill out would you please.

Meh I stopped watching South Park a few years ago...
JadedByPolitics Thursday, November 12th at 8:03PM EST (link)it seriously just stopped being funny and they were trending PC about 2006 so the END!
Whoever has his enemy at his mercy &
does not destroy him is his own enemy
A little subtlety and this *might* have made a half-way decent Moby attack.
Martin Knight Thursday, November 12th at 8:07PM EST (link)But as it is, you overdid it … and even then, I doubt you’d get anyone here to stop watching South Park because they made fun of Glenn Beck.
Bye Moby freak.
To me, “consensus” seems to be the process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values and policies. So it is something in which no one believes and to which no one objects … There are still people in my party who believe in “consensus” politics. I regard them as Quislings, as traitors … I mean it.
- Margaret Thatcher
NOTE: “consensus” = “Bipartisanship™”/”Centrism™”
There's serious and then there's Beck
SteveLA Thursday, November 12th at 8:12PM EST (link)Anybody that do stunts like this has a pair of clown shoes hidden the back of the closet, one of the reasons I enjoy Beck.
Seriously, boycott South Park for making fun of Beck, heck Beck makes fun of Beck and that’s why he’s getting lots of viewers.

well, thanks. sort of...
red_dawn Thursday, November 12th at 8:33PM EST (link)…
If my writing lacks subtlety, it’s because I am outraged at what is happening to our country.
Maybe the attack on Beck isn’t enough to warrant a boycott or maybe a boycott would be counterproductive, but I just wanted to go on record that this type of attack on a true Patriot Conservative is not acceptable.
True Patriot
SteveLA Thursday, November 12th at 8:40PM EST (link)That’s probably where you lost it.
While I enjoy Glen Beck as entertainment and some comedy and some good information, elevating him to the as you put it “True Patriot” is a bit much.
There are 13 dead at Fort Hood, they were true patriots
There are something like 1.6 Million men and women serving in our US Armed forces, some in harms way. They are True Patriots.
Get excited about insults to them, ordinary Americans serving this country who ARE True Patriots.
Focus on what is important, not some silly TV show.

Beck's contributions do not match those
red_dawn Thursday, November 12th at 9:07PM EST (link)of those Ft Hood Heroes or the other fine members of our military. But Beck does contribute and this kind of thing weakens his message’s potential to reach ALOT of people who would otherwise be sympathetic to our message.
So...
discerningconservative Thursday, November 12th at 9:12PM EST (link)When South Park made fun of ACORN about a month ago, will that make more people not want to commit voter registration fraud that would have otherwise been sympathetic to the left’s “if you can’t beat ‘em, cheat ‘em” philosophy? I think you may have gotten a little carried away in your diary, but maybe more so in your defense of it.
OK, maybe...
mschmitt Thursday, November 12th at 8:44PM EST (link)At first I thought it was overreaction (see my post below).. But when Martin called moby, I got to thinking about it.
To call for a boycott of South Park over poking fun at Glenn Beck seems to require both a total lack of understanding of South Park humor and a total lack of appreciation for what makes Glenn Beck a character an an interesting guy to watch. I suppose that both are possible.
I "understand" South Park's supposed humor
red_dawn Thursday, November 12th at 8:53PM EST (link)and I understand the appeal of Glenn Beck, believe me. You can call my diary an overreaction if you want — fair enough. But DON’T call me a moby.
I see how kids’ ideas are molded by shows like South Park. And by kids, I mean “kids” as old as their early or even mid twenties. This kind of attack, while it may not seem like much on its own, is part of the incessant mocking and tearing down of conservatives.
We even had Carrie Prejean attacked on this site the other day. Like it or not, our kids are exposed to the culture and learn from it. What about the kids who aren’t yet equipped to see through the scam and actually believe it?
There should be hundreds and thousands of conservative voices denouncing this tripe and showing young people that we are the viable alternative.
red, it was satire.
RJD Thursday, November 12th at 9:03PM EST (link)You’re fighting the wrong battle. If “kids” are influenced by this - and I’m not saying some folks won’t be - then the focus needs to be on better education so those who miss the point will recognize it the next time around.
This is what South Park does - has been doing for 12 or 13 years now. As to Beck - he’s been parodies in SP. He’s made it big. *chuckle*
If South Park wanted to tear down Beck...
mschmitt Thursday, November 12th at 10:05PM EST (link)… they could’ve just given him the Saddam treatment.
Instead, they teased his purposely over-the-top program format; even managing to tie it in with a sub-plot involving Smurf slaughter.
I’m just not buying what you’re selling. Maybe you’re legitimately just confused about this, I’m not sure; but what I do know is that if there were thousands of voices denouncing a cartoon — an MA-17 cartoon which has made a name for itself with skits such as Jesus sitting at home eating a t.v. dinner alone (because nobody calls anymore), and Bono as the largest Couric in the world (look it up), what they’d sound like is “look at us — we have no sense of humor!”
South Park is a kid's show like Gulliver's Travels is kid's book...
malbis Thursday, November 12th at 10:21PM EST (link)It’s one of the sharpest satirical offerings currently around–far more even-handed in dishing it out to Left and Right, Conservative and Liberal, Famous and Infamous than anyone else around.
And I don’t really think that Beck is going to mind the attention since, as has been said numerous times, he is not one to take himself seriously.
From the 1940 feature film Ghost Breakers, starring the late, great, Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard:
Scientist: “It’s worse than horrible, because a Zombie has no will of his own. You see them some times, walking around blindly with dead eyes, following orders, not knowing what they do, not caring.”
Bob Hope: “You mean, like Democrats?”

Not South Park. The creators are pretty clearly conservative , but play to the libtards as well. The spot on Beck was a trap to make libtards tto more deeply think and spin the libtard line about Beck. It will provide greta material for South Park later on.

mschmitt Thursday, November 12th at 8:07PM EST (link)If you ever truly thought that South Park was “pretty good” then you have to understand their brand of humor. I thought it (the clip you linked to) was both semi-brilliant and totally harmless. Watch Team America again, sing the theme song if you have to (I’m told that I regularly hum it in my sleep), and then reconsider whether maybe you just missed the joke this time.

Watch the whole episode. It’s a clear attack on Beck and is ugly and wrong.
it's was ok,
RJD Thursday, November 12th at 8:24PM EST (link)though not the best political/pop culture satire they’ve ever done.
Some thoughts about the episode:
1) While Cartman was a parody of Beck, he could also have been any other over-the-top pundit out there.
2) Wendy generally trumps Cartman. And her as Sarah Palin was funny.
3) Parker and Stone must not like James Cameron - I mean, Avatar hasn’t been released and they’re already trashing it.
4) Smurfs.
5) Smurfs getting run over by a bulldozer.
Don't forget
SteveLA Thursday, November 12th at 8:29PM EST (link)Smurfberries… but I check the Urban dictionary and I’m not so sure there weren’t some double meanings going on. I’m so tragically square however and had to look up “sausage factory”, when I heard the term in a Captain Morgan commercial, so what do I know.

How dare he mock and attack South Park, one of the few shows which dared to show Christmas poo and murdered Smurfs. South Park is a GREAT SHOW and written by EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OFFENDERS not like those leftist pot smoking degenerates who make everything else on t.v. South Park attacks everyone, including themselves
Illinicon Friday, November 13th at 12:22AM EST (link)in the Cartoon Wars episode. The satire was pretty mild for South Park standards and James Cameron was a bigger target in the episode than Beck for wasting 500 million to make a cross bewteen Dances with Wolves and a Smurfs episode. They do like to poke both sides so it wouldnt surprise me if next week’s Season Finale is a Barry spoof.

Did you see the episode?
mikefisk Friday, November 13th at 12:27PM EST (link)If you did, you’d know that Cartman was being a Glenn Beck-style character. He even has his hair looking like Beck’s at one point in the episode.
That being said, they take some good shots at James Cameron in there as well, along with a couple of really clever references to Sarah Palin and the so-called “cult of the Presidency”.
Overall, the Beck stuff isn’t anything that hasn’t been done before (even if it was deliberately made ridiculous in the episode), but it’s definitely the focus of the episode.

"South Park" Creators Have Said
Ausonius Friday, November 13th at 1:01PM EST (link)they like to attack liberals because the Left is so sanctimonious.
A few years ago they were interviewed on the CBS Sunday Morning news show. “Team America: World Police” is awesome as an (Aristophanically crude) satire against the Left.
I agree, this was no ataack on Beck...
rcov092 Friday, November 13th at 1:12PM EST (link)it was a honey pot designed to draw in foolish libtards (like those at Politico) into trying to use South Park to validate their mental illness. south Park consistently attacks libtards as the fools they are. My take is Trey and Matt needed some more material and knew if they put this up, the libtards would provide them with enough for the next year.

Not so sure...
mikefisk Friday, November 13th at 1:49PM EST (link)…but at the very least, it’s not so much an “attack” as it is a bit of poking fun at Beck’s image. As has been said by others, Beck does this himself on a regular basis… from the transcripts of his radio show the next day, Beck seemed to more or less shrug it off.
That being said, I can definitely see this as being a sort of a diversionary tactic for them… one of those things where they can say “see, we get both sides!”, when, in reality, they more parodied the concept of Beck rather than making fun of him directly (as they did with, say, Al Gore, Rob Reiner, and others).
