I think Beck will get the joke, heck I’ll even make a prediction. Beck will try to get the boys from South Park on the show for some firing back at them from his side. I won’t even be surprised to see Beck have a segment where he reads the FOX “announcements” for the day. Beck is many things, but taking himself too too seriously is not one of them.

If you ever truly thought that South Park was “pretty good” then you have to understand their brand of humor. I thought it (the clip you linked to) was both semi-brilliant and totally harmless. Watch Team America again, sing the theme song if you have to (I’m told that I regularly hum it in my sleep), and then reconsider whether maybe you just missed the joke this time.

though not the best political/pop culture satire they’ve ever done.
Some thoughts about the episode:
1) While Cartman was a parody of Beck, he could also have been any other over-the-top pundit out there.
2) Wendy generally trumps Cartman. And her as Sarah Palin was funny.
3) Parker and Stone must not like James Cameron - I mean, Avatar hasn’t been released and they’re already trashing it.
4) Smurfs.
5) Smurfs getting run over by a bulldozer.

I mean, a few years ago they gave us “ManBearPig”, which is the biggest (and probably funniest) rip into Al Gore’s Climate-scare of all time.

This diary is just horrible. We cannot let this go unchallenged. It started out terribly and the comments have been sliding all day and now the whole thing has completely gone over to the side of the devils.

How dare he mock and attack South Park, one of the few shows which dared to show Christmas poo and murdered Smurfs. South Park is a GREAT SHOW and written by EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OFFENDERS not like those leftist pot smoking degenerates who make everything else on t.v. (including most of the shows on the Fox family of networks).

in the Cartoon Wars episode. The satire was pretty mild for South Park standards and James Cameron was a bigger target in the episode than Beck for wasting 500 million to make a cross bewteen Dances with Wolves and a Smurfs episode. They do like to poke both sides so it wouldnt surprise me if next week’s Season Finale is a Barry spoof.

South Park pokes fun at everyone, in a surprisingly tasteful, or at least clever way. Two prominent figures will never haunt my nightmares because of them, Kim Jong Il, everytime I see him on TV or in a photo I begin to hum “I’m so ronrry” and algore, every time I see his stupid a** I picture Manbearpig and wait to see al skip about pretending to fly with his superman cape.
