The latest bailout plan by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is destined to go down as the greatest scam in the history of the United States. Just last month CitiGroup was doing so well that they were going to buy Wachovia,by assets the sixth largest bank in the country. According to Reuters,Wachovia held $122 billion dollars in morgages which were “distressed”. In the second quarter of 2008 Wachovia lost $9.11 billion dollars. If CitiGroup had bought Wachovia they would have assumed all of the debt of that banking colossus. The debt was in the tens of billions of dollars,but this didn’t deter CitiGroup. If Wells Fargo hadn’t swooped in and snatched Wachovia away on October the 3rd,the merger of Citi and Wachovia would have taken place.

We are now expected to believe that a company that was strong enough in October to be able to ignore the debt that a merger would have brought it,is in November so broke that they must be bailed out. Damn,that must have been one bad month! According to today’s San Francisco Chronicle CitiGroup has a 2 TRILLION dollar balance sheet. Yet they need our help!

I used to live in New York City and they used to sell a T-shirt there that read,”New York-Only the strong survive”. This is true in banking. When many banks got in trouble earlier this year,they were devoured by Bank of America,Chase-Morgan and Wells Fargo. If Citi-Group was truly in trouble,they should have let others acquire the bank. Instead our government is going to give them 20 billion dollars in a bailout and guarantee more than 300 billion dollars in mortgages and assorted other assets!

This is by far the most outrageous of all the bailouts. What’s amazing is that both parties are going along with this. Both Bush and Obama are going along with this. The nation’s coffers are being plundered and not a peep from anyone. These guys are no different than the pirates off the coast of Somalia who are hijacking ships and holding them for ransom. At least they have the decency to call themselves pirates. In America pirates are called “economists”.

The defeat of John McCain heralds the beginning of an American tragedy. The goal of all Americans,whether conservative Republicans or Clinton Democrats,must be to make certain that Barack Obama will be a one term President.

In all my years of observing politics I have never heard a candidate talk about his second term in office before he was even elected for his first term. Obama did that several times during this campaign. It takes a special kind of arrogance to do that. It’s also a convenient way to tell his supporters that he intends to break his promises to them. The gullible are about to learn just how duplicitous The One is.

I doubt that the press will cease their fawning toward Obama. We can’t expect that things will change now that Obama has been elected. They will never treat him with the disdain they normally exhibit toward Presidents,regardless of party. Moderate bloggers and sympathetic journalists on the right must unite for a common cause. Even if there are new revelations,we must forget about Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright and Tony Rezko. People have tuned us out on them. We must focus our attacks on Obama’s policies. He will have no excuses since he has vast majorities in the Senate and the House.

Our attacks must be blistering,ruthless,unrelenting and acerbic. The goal must be to eventually make Obama an object of ridicule. This won’t be easy. It won’t be accomplished in a few months or even one year,but by the end of his third year in office the public must begin to see him as another Jimmy Carter. Only when he is seen as another Carter,only when he is being mocked by comedians,will he be defeated. Whether it is Iraq or Afghanistan or his appeasement of Middle East leaders we must attack with a savagery not seen in American politics before. We must launch an insurgency. Not with bullets. With words. In blogs,the Internet,and on TV. Like a playwright once wrote, “The pen is mightier than the sword”.

With only three days to go until the election,some very surprising numbers are still coming in from California. They are not matching the polls at all. The most respected polling organization in California is the Field Poll. They have been here for sixty-one years. Their latest poll according to mercurynews.com,the website of the largest newspaper in the Silicon Valley,has Barack Obama simply obliterating John McCain by 22 points,55% to 33%. As a result of this,you would think that all the newspapers in California would be trumpeting the results of early voting.

Last week I was able to get some results from the newspapers,but now they have all stopped reporting the results. I decided to start calling the registrar of voters in various cities in the state. Yesterday I received the first of these and Monday I hope to get some more. I received an eight page breakdown of early voting results in Santa Barbara County from the Registrar of Voters there. This is a county of 421,000 people. A county where a Republican has NOT won the vote for President since 1988. A county that has a 34.2% Latino population and an additional 22.79% of “other” races. There is a lot of wealth among whites in this county,but as you can see there is a substantial minority population. This should be Obama country. Yet here are the results of actual voting as of 10/30 in Santa Barbara county.

57,659 people have voted thus far. Of these 24,788 are Democrats and 22,293 are Republican,9033 are independents and the other 1500 represent various parties. Yes,yes,yes,I know. We don’t know how these people voted,but unless all Republicans have lost their mind at the same time,let’s assume that most people will vote for the party they are registered with. If independent voters break slightly for McCain,this is essentially a dead even race in that county.

We have been told that Latinos would vote overwhelmingly for Obama. I wrote in a diary a couple of weeks ago that I doubted that,since the Latino radio stations are spewing vitriolic comments about Obama. Why isn’t McCain getting swamped here as the Field Poll would predict? After all,a Republican presidential candidate has not won here in 20 years and yet McCain is close in the vote.It just goes to show that the polls are WAY off. Don’t let them intimidate you that it’s over. Get out there and vote for McCain. It is not over.

Monday I hope to post results from at least two large cities. I am waiting for results from the registrar of voters in those cities.

Barack Obama is constantly telling voters that John McCain is as responsible for the economic meltdown as George Bush is. It’s time to fight that charge and use it against Obama as proof of his inexperience. In these last six days John McCain has to point out again and again and again that the economic crisis is world wide. So far,he has failed to emphasize that.

We all know that McCain is a poor orator. He often stumbles over his lines. He will never be able to use soaring rhetoric. He can,however,attack. He can ridicule. He should keep it simple and say something like this in Pennsylvania:

“Senator Obama is obsessed with George Bush. As a result,he is blind to the fact that our country is not the only one suffering from an economic crisis. This crisis is world wide. Is George Bush the leader of Japan? Is George Bush the leader of Germany? To hear Mr. Obama’s speeches you would think so. My friends,the economies of Europe,Japan and the Middle East are all in trouble. Mr. Obama is simply too inexperienced and his economic theories are too radical to lift our economy out of the doldrums. His theories are too radical to help our allies recover from their economic stagnation. “Spread the Wealth” around is not a solution. It is a formula for disaster. Even our enemies are being hit hard by the world wide economic crisis. Iran’s economy is in real trouble right now. Iran’s President collapsed from exhaustion just three days ago because he has been desperately trying to solve their problems. Mr. Obama,do you truly believe that the Iranians listened to George Bush? They despise him,Senator !

If Mr. Obama is so blind to what’s going on in the world,how is he going to fix our economy? He won’t ! You think we’re in trouble now,folks? Just wait and see what happens if Mr. Obama is elected. He will make the Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department enforce his radical “Spread the Wealth around” theories. My friends,beware of a former community organizer when he says he wants to spread the wealth around. He means it.”

Mr. McCain refused to use the campaign tactics of Lee Atwater or Karl Rove. Fine,but for God’s sake defend yourself.

The article in ABC News by Michael Malone was terrific. Up until the moment he rationalized that the editors of newspapers were just trying to save their jobs and their pensions so they supported Barack Obama. Don’t believe that nonsense for a second ! If they had truly wanted to revive a dying industry,they would have done the exact opposite of what they did. The subscriptions to their newspapers would have soared if they had written stories about Bill Ayers’ terrorist past and his connection to Obama. If they had attacked Obama for associating with a racist,rabid anti-Semite like Jeremiah Wright,people would have bought their magazines by the tens of thousands. Antoin “Tony” Rezko is such a sleazeball they could have kept a dozen writers busy writing about him. They didn’t do this. They didn’t write about Obama’s drug past either. No. Editors worried about their jobs and their pensions is not the reason for their idolatry.

I suspect something far more sinister is going to occur in this country. I haven’t been able to figure out exactly what it is,but all the signs are there. What are the elite in this country expecting,that they are pushing a mediocrity like Obama toward the White House? There isn’t a single,major piece of legislation in either the Illinois Legislature or the U.S. Senate that bears Obama’s name on it. Now as the polls tighten there are suddenly a flurry of Republicans aiding and abetting a Democrat,a nonentity, to make certain Obama wins.

I see a dark cloud over the horizon and it isn’t socialism. Everyone is forgetting one thing. Most newspaper and television stations today are owned by conglomerates. Most of the owners of these companies are billionaires to the right of Rush Limbaugh. The last thing they want is socialism to flourish in the U.S. What do they really want and why do they need Barack Obama to do it? That’s what we must figure out. Before it’s too late. I can understand black people wanting a black man to ascend to the White House. It’s obvious why the Democratic Party would want him to win,but when the media and many conservative Republicans join the parade it’s time to wonder why they are trying to foist this cipher upon us.

If we needed any more proof how the media favors Obama,all we need to do is read the story by the Associated Press that’s all over the Internet right now. The headline reads, “Feds disrupt skinhead plot to assassinate Obama”. Once you actually read the story it turns out that two kids,one 18 the other 20,had hatched a bizarre plan. First they were going to hold up a few stores to get some money to finance their plan. Then they would rob a gun store to get weapons. Then they would shoot to death EIGHTY-EIGHT black people across many states. Then after that they would decapitate another FOURTEEN people. Then,and only then,would they make their final act,which would be to kill Obama. So these two geniuses would first have to kill 102 people across the U.S. before they attempted to kill Obama. Lots of people won’t read the story and just go by the headline and think what a racist country this is. We must remedy this by…voting for Obama! The media ought to be embarrassed by this,but,of course,we know they won’t.

I wonder if Joe Biden will be on CNN talking about this plot. If he’s not there it will be only because he’ll be on MSNBC talking about it.

California has begun early voting already as well as mail-in balloting. The number of people who have gone in to vote in person has been extensive. The results so far prove what we had always suspected. The polls are being proven as totally unreliable. Although the results of early balloting have not been disclosed,of course,how many Republicans and how many Democrats have voted has been revealed.

The results are simply shocking. The polls showed Barack Obama with an 18 point lead in California just a few days ago. The results thus far are the complete opposite. In the most liberal state in the entire country,the results are that 99,000 Republicans have voted and 96,000 Democrats voted. In the mail-in balloting the results so far are that 9,000 Democrats sent in their ballots and that 5,000 Republicans did so. So with nearly 210,000 people having voted,the Democrats have only a 1,000 vote advantage !

If we take the liberty of assuming that all Republicans will vote for John McCain and all Democrats will vote for Obama,then the race is incredibly close. I’m sure that Obama will eventually win in California,but if he is struggling here after he pushed so hard for early voting,then he will lose the election ! Everybody thought he would win California in a landslide,but so far anyway,it’s very tight. That means that in the less liberal states he is in real trouble.

Ignore the pundits. Forget the polls. Get out there and vote for John McCain. The results in California show the wisdom of Yogi Berra who said, “It’s not over until it’s over.”

In 2008 we have seen the media in this country manipulate public opinion as never before. In their eyes Barack Obama can do no wrong. The man who invented propaganda to control public opinion was Joseph Goebbels,Adolf Hitler’s Propaganda Minister. His chilling words sound like CNN in 2008. They also warn us what America will be like in 2009 if Obama is elected. Two quotes which should frighten all rational Americans are:

1) “It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion.”

2) “Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play”.

Goebbels was also the creator of what he called THE BIG LIE. That was the concept that it is better for politicians to tell a big lie than a small lie. If told again and again and again,eventually the public will believe it. Goebbels was convinced that the public was more likely to believe a big lie than a small lie. They simply couldn’t conceive of their leaders telling a big lie,so it must be true. Obama and his cronies have obviously studied this concept. Obama will master THE BIG LIE if he is elected.

I hope Sarah Palin’s people read redstate diaries.I hope redstate will forgive me for the length of this diary. I would like to submit this for Governor Palin to deliver as a speech. I am a playwright, so I have written it as I would for an actor on stage. Those parts that have parentheses around them are NOT spoken. Those are instructions on what the playwright wants or how to deliver the lines. This is about an 8 minute speech which is to be inserted in the speech of her choice. With her superb timing,her impeccable phrasing and her jocular manner,she could give a terrific rendition of this. When she comes to the phrase, “spread the wealth around” she is always to raise her voice and say it in a jocular manner. Here is the speech.

“You know,politicians are accustomed to giving speeches in front of thousands of people. Their speech writers pore over every word,every syllable,to make sure that nothing will give ammunition to their opponent. If the speech is delivered with confidence and in a smooth,relaxed manner nobody will guess what their true intentions are. Me,I prefer to meet people one on one. If I make a mistake,so be it. (smiling) That’s just more material for Tina Fey ! (She is to tap the pinkie of her left hand with the index finger of her right hand as she says this line) Senator Obama prefers to give speeches where he can say with authority, “Number One (slight pause) Number Two (slight pause) Number Three (slight pause) Number Four.” as he gives details on policy which his writers wrote for him. He doesn’t like to talk directly to people. Now we know why !

If a microphone or camera is near as you speak,you could reveal your true intentions. A few days ago Mr. Obama spoke to a man named Joe Wurzelbacher. Mr. Wurzelbacher is struggling to open a new business. When he met Mr. Obama he told him how the Senator’s tax plan would prevent him from opening a new business. How it would penalize his hard work. You know what the Senator said to him? (in a jocular manner) It is so incredible that when you go home I want you to watch it on YouTube,okay? Mr. Obama told Joe he didn’t want to penalize him,but he said,(Pause)…. listen to this,okay. He said,”Joe,I just want to spread the wealth around”. (Raising her voice) She said that to a plumber! Perhaps we could understand that if he said it to Bill Gates,but he said it to a plumber! “I just want to spread the wealth around!”

This is not the Robin Hood Principle of taking from the rich and giving to the poor. This is the Barack Obama Principle of taking money from hard working Americans and giving it to…(Long Pause)…who? Who knows? He won’t tell us. You know,this is not a new idea. All you have to do is go to Miami. There are tens of thousands of very successful Cuban-Americans living there. Doctors,lawyers,business men and business women. Their parents used to live in Cuba where they worked hard as farmers,as owners of factories or they made money selling sugar cane so others could make it into sugar. Then Fidel Castro came to power. The central belief of the Cuban Revolution was…you guessed it folks, “to spread the wealth around”. Business people had their factories confiscated. Home owners had their homes seized. The government took people’s farms. You know what,folks? It didn’t work ! Yes,all Cubans have free health care now,but a wealthy,vibrant country was destroyed. Cubans have free health care,but the people are dirt poor. “Spreading the wealth around” doesn’t work. If you don’t believe it,ask yourself one question. Why did people risk their lives and put their families in canoes and tiny boats and go into the sea? They headed to Miami!

Hard working people in Cuba were destroyed. People in Havana today have cars that are sixty years old ! That’s true,folks ! They cannibalize auto parts so they can keep their cars running! The people of Cuba fled when they started to “spread the wealth around”,but ask yourself one question. Where are YOU going to go when Barack Obama starts to “spread the wealth” around”? Everybody is going to have health care in the U.S.,but you’d better find an old Pinto because that’s all you’re going to be able to afford when the Democrats “spread the wealth around”.

Today Mr. Obama says that he will only tax those who make more than $250,000,but come January he’ll say the bailout of $700 billion is forcing him to revise his tax plan. The new definition of who is wealthy will be…what? $150,000? $100,000? Then he’ll say it can’t be $100,000 per individual! No,it will be $100,000 per family! So if someone owns a small business or a couple works for a corporation and together they make $100,000 they will now be considered wealthy! The Democrats don’t want to penalize you,you see,but they have to “spread the wealth around”.

Folks,these radical ideas never work! They didn’t work in Cuba. They won’t work here. In 1980 Fidel Castro let those who wanted to flee Cuba to do so. 125,000 people jumped into the ocean to come to the U.S. In a matter of days! The Castro brothers were forced to put a stop to it. If they hadn’t, only Fidel and Raul would have been left in the country! Cuban-Americans are extremely hard workers,they are talented,they are successful. They are proof that the American dream works. These people could have been successful in Havana,like their parents had been. That country today would be wealthy. Radical ideas destroyed a wonderful country.

On November the Fourth let Barack Obama know that in America we don’t believe in “spreading the wealth” !

A story has just broke from the Associated Press that you are simply not going to believe. It just goes to show how cynical and perhaps desperate Obama’s supporters are. According to the story a bookie in Ireland is paying out RIGHT NOW, more than 1,000,000 Euros,which is $1,340,000,to all those who bet on Obama to win the Presidency ! He is so sure of Obama’s victory that he will NOT wait for the election. There is no need to. Obama’s victory is inevitable. Damn! Why didn’t I bet with this bookie on the last Super Bowl? I bet on the Patriots to win. I could have been paid in December and gone to Bali.

This is more of Obama’s crap that his election is inevitable. In the entire history of mankind,who ever heard of a bookie paying off bettors BEFORE the sporting event? He is not paying off $100. He is paying off almost a million and a half dollars ! Give me a break. If anybody believes this,there is a bridge in Alaska I want to sell you.

In the 1930′s in Nazi Germany,Martin Niemoeller,a Lutheran pastor, was arrested. After initially being a supporter of Adolf Hitler he turned against him when he realized Hitler’s true intentions. For doing nothing more than criticizing the Third Reich,he was arrested in 1937 and spent the next eight years in various concentration camps. He was in Dachau,the most notorious of the deathcamps,when he was liberated by the Americans in 1945.

Years later Reverend Niemoller uttered the words that Barack Obama’s supporters should remember before they step into the booth to cast their vote. There are many versions of this particular quote so this is only one of them.

“First they came after the Jews,and I was not a Jew,so I did not object.
They came after the Communists,and I was not a Communist,so I did not object.
They came after the trade unionists,and I was not a trade unionist,so I did not object.
Then they came after me and there was nobody left to object.”

Keep ignoring the signs of Obama’s radical ties,keep calling those who speak the truth racists,until the night they knock on YOUR door. “Barry” has a little surprise for you,my little gullible ones. Let me assure you,they won’t care that you voted for The One.

On November the 4th remember the words of George Santayana, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”

Barack Obama is always attacking John McCain for his vote to go to war in Iraq. He always says that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9-11 so there was no reason to go to war. If McCain says the following,Jewish voters will come over to his side in droves and he wins Florida.

“I must remind Senator Obama that terrorists were present in the Middle East long before 9-11. Contrary to Mr. Obama’s claims,Al Queda is not the only terrorist group we had to fear. Yasser Arafat attempted to destabilize the Middle East for more than thirty years. For more than a decade Hamas and Hezbollah have made it their goal to destroy Israel. Israel is our ally. It is important that this democratic country survive. It was because of the existence of Yasser Arafat,Hamas and Hezbollah that I voted to go to war in Iraq.

It is true that Saddam Hussein was not involved in the attacks on 9-11,but he was the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world ! Hussein was the sponsor of suicide bombers who detonated their bombs inside of Israel. At first he began by paying the families of those who killed themselves inside Israel $10,000. Hussein was so pleased by the results of his payments that he attempted to recruit even more suicide bombers ! He began to pay $25,000 to the families of all those who killed and maimed Israelis ! Restaurants,movie houses,weddings,temples and night clubs were being bombed on a daily basis. Terrorists would blow up buses filled with schoolchildren. Children would be shot dead when terrorists would attack their schools. Every day Israelis lived in fear. A beacon of democracy was being attacked constantly. The entire Middle East was being destabilized by Saddam Hussein.

That is why I voted for the war in Iraq. That’s why Hillary Clinton voted for the war. That’s why Joseph Lieberman voted for war. That’s why Joe Biden voted for war. Yes,Mr. Obama,your vice presidential nominee voted for war. You,sir,don’t seem to care that innocent people were being killed because Saddam Hussein was paying terrorists $25,000. In the poverty ridden Palestinian territories $25,000 is a fortune. It is more money than a family makes in five years. That’s why I voted for war.

It’s up to you,Mr. Obama,to explain why you didn’t care that Israelis were being massacred. It’s up to you to explain why you voted to keep the major sponsor of Palestinian terrorists in power. If we had not toppled Saddam Hussein his payments to the families of suicide bombers would probably exceed $50,000 by now ! Have you noticed,Senator Obama,that Palestinian terrorists are not blowing themselves up inside Israel anymore? Have you noticed that Saddam Hussein’s attempt to harm America by destabilizing the Middle East failed?”

If John McCain delivers this speech I doubt if many Jewish voters in Florida will be voting for Mr. Obama. Does McCain have the guts to deliver it?

The press undermined Hillary Clinton’s nomination to promote Barack Obama. As early as January,just after the Iowa primary,they were suggesting she should drop out of the race. Since that day their idolatry of Obama has grown. No other candidate in history has been so protected by the press as Obama has been. If Bill Clinton had ever published a book where he admitted smoking cocaine he never would have been nominated. The press doesn’t care about Wright,Ayers or Rezko. As a result the public thinks they are not important.

Now the press has even gotten to poor John McCain. Last week they began writing about how he did not control his rallies. They said he should have reprimanded the crowd when one of them shouted out, “Kill him” about Obama. Last night John McCain,obviously intimidated,began to defend Obama. It is NOT John McCain’s job to protect Barack Obama ! If there is a nut out there with intent to harm Obama,that’s why they have the Secret Service. It’s their job to protect him from harm. The press has gotten into McCain’s head to such an extent that he will probably refrain from further attacks on Obama. He is afraid that he will be blamed if somebody harms Obama. He will now probably talk only about the economy. If he does,what little chance he has will evaporate. Will somebody please tell McCain to keep on attacking. His job is to win the Presidency. Let those who are being paid very handsomely to protect Obama do their job.

The next President will have enormous problems in foreign policy. A resurgent Russia. An Iran which may soon possess nuclear weapons. A North Korea whose leader Kim Jong IL nearly died last month. His death would bring even more instability to this troubled nation. Experts believe that Kim’s successor will be even more hostile to the West,even more militant. Since North Korea already has nuclear weapons and some of the most sophisticated missiles in the world, they are capable of striking any nation,even the United States. The war in Iraq must be ended properly or it will explode in our face later. We will continue to have problems with Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. He is the leader of the next generation of radical socialists.

Into this maze of lunatics,rabid anti-Semites,socialists and Islamic jihadists we are going to send in Barack Obama if the polls are correct ! This would be comical if it weren’t a catastrophe. Obama’s admirers in the press refer to him as the black John F. Kennedy. This is a joke. Kennedy was a hawk and an avid anti-Communist. Obama is not merely a dove. He is a man who will appease our enemies. He is the black Neville Chamberlain. Chamberlain was the leader of Great Britain in the 1930′s. When he tried to appease Adolf Hitler,the Fuehrer concluded the West was weak and a year later he invaded Poland,thus starting World War II !

Vladimir Putin,the Russian bear will smell the fear emanating from Obama when they meet. After their summit Putin will know the Ukraine will soon be his again. A tragedy is coming to the West. If Obama serves two terms as President,Russia will acquire all of their former territories. This is Putin’s dream. He will realize his dream with a weakling like Obama in power. Obama is a man who thinks he can reason with tyrants. The only thing tyrants understand is brute force. Instead we are going to send in a college professor to confront the former head of the K.G.B !

Something very dangerous is occurring in our country. It’s what we call the “cult of personality” when it happens in totalitarian countries. It is the idea that the leader is wise beyond the comprehension of the people,that he is pure and kind,and he and only he knows what is good for the country. Normally in democratic countries this is abhorrent. Winston Churchill led Britain throughout World War II and his courage and leadership at that time made him a legend. A year later the British people threw him out of office. America has had Presidents the vast majority of Americans admired,such as Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan. Never has the cult of personality taken hold here. Until now. Increasingly in the press Barack Obama is being portrayed as a once in a century leader. He proclaims to have all the answers,never admits a mistake and is now another Nostradamus. He knows what will happen years in advance ! He states matter of fact that he knew two years ago the mortgage crisis would occur. That’s strange. He was already a Senator. Why didn’t he stand on the floor of the Senate and deliver a speech to alert mere mortals of what was coming? Democrats control the Senate and the House of Representatives. Why didn’t he tell its leaders what had to be done? Why didn’t he introduce a bill to prevent this crisis?

Obama continues to make ludicrous statements on the economy,taxes,Wall St.,and the press reports it as if it were a Sermon from the Mount. Their idolatry of this charlatan has caused everyday Americans to go blind regarding his abundant character flaws. Bill Ayers? Irrelevant! Tony Rezko? Who? Jeremiah Wright? Barack wasn’t in church during the speeches ! The idolatry has reached such levels that if a video surfaced of Obama having tea in a cave with Osama bin Laden the press would attack John McCain. They would tell us that Obama with his brilliant powers of deduction had located the cave where bin Laden was,had infiltrated Al Queda and was getting ready to make a citizen’s arrest ! Releasing the video had ruined Barack’s sting operation! Shame on John McCain for releasing the video. In the America of 2008 where propaganda is king and Obama is a prophet this counts as only a mild exaggeration.

As a Democrat I dislike Rush Limbaugh. However, I must give Limbaugh credit. His nickname for Obama,The Messiah,is perfect. To CNN,MSNBC,CBS,ABC and NBC Obama is not only beyond criticism and reproach. He IS perfect. My fellow Democrats vote for John McCain.

For four years it was believed that Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee for the White House. Suddenly last January almost all the leading Democrats came out and endorsed Barack Obama. This is a man who has been in the Senate for three and a half years, but has campaigned for the Oval Office almost exclusively for two of those years. In reality he has about a year and a half of experience. In his time in the Senate he has not crafted any significant legislation. By all indications he is a mediocre legislator. Despite this thin resume the endorsements came fast and furious for Obama. Even those politicians who were in their position of power because of Bill Clinton turned against Senator Clinton. Who will ever forget the back stabbing that Bill Richardson gave Hillary ? Soon Senators and governors were calling for Clinton to drop out of the race. Why did they do this?

In addition to his thin resume Obama has a dubious past. He has been associated with Bill Ayers,the co-founder of the domestic terrorist group the Weather Underground. He attended a racist church, an anti-Semitic church, for twenty years and listened to the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. He has acknowledged that he used drugs in the past. All of these by themselves would have forced a white candidate to drop out of the race after one month. He just got stronger with each revelation. When Geraldine Ferraro,the former Democratic nominee for the Vice-Presidency, said he could never have run with his record if he were white she was attacked as a racist. Soon she had to recant this observation. She apologized and was never heard from again.

Mrs. Ferraro was right. This brings up the concept of white guilt. Lots of whites retain a sense of guilt over the way blacks have been treated in the past. Slavery after all was a monstrous institution. The bigotry encountered by blacks after Reconstruction was real. However, there is no way to undo what was done. Casting your judgment aside to try to make up for the past is not only foolish. It is dangerous. Blacks have always supported the Democratic Party and Obama is the first serious black candidate for the Presidency. Jesse Jackson was never a serious candidate. No white politician except Geraldine Ferraro had the guts to speak the truth. In many cases to do so would have resulted in attacks from the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Whites were intimidated and remained silent. With the idolatry of the press plus the endorsement of most major Democrats the public fell in love with Obama.

My problem is that not all of us have white guilt. Those of us who are immigrants,who are minorities ourselves,who are not white, had nothing to do with slavery or the bigotry of the 20th Century. Yet we will have to put up with a mediocrity like Obama because of white guilt. Amazing. I am a Hillary Clinton Democrat,but I support John McCain. I let logic and reason prevail,not skin color. To my fellow Democrats I say, hold your nose if you have to,but vote for John McCain.

When German troops invaded Poland in 1939 to start World War II,an American diplomat said, “If I’d only had a chance to talk to Hitler,this could have been prevented” ! There are some diplomats and leaders so naive that they actually believe that. There is no need to talk to the Hitlers of the world. They perceive that as weakness in their adverary’s part. The only thing tyrants understand is sheer,brute force. Barack Obama is a naive,gullible man. He says that he intends to sit down and talk to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Talking to him would be like a criminologist trying to reason with a serial killer to persuade him to stop killing. What would the criminologist say? That killing is bad? Serial killers know it’s bad. They kill because they enjoy it. Some of the leaders of the world are insane. Literally. Kim Jong Il is more than just ruthless,he is truly insane. This will not deter Obama. He will try to sit down with him and reason with him. He will also try to persuade Ahmadinejad to abandon nuclear weapons,but this is futile. The Iranian President is full of hatred toward Israel in particular and Jews in general. He wants to drop nuclear weapons on Israel. The nuclear weapons today are far more powerful than those dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Today’s bombs can each kill up to a million people ! Since Israel only has six million people,simple arithmetic tell us that once Iran acquires these weapons they won’t need very many to totally destroy Israel. Ahmadinejad has said time and time again that he wants to “wipe out” Israel from the face of the earth. He said it as recently as two weeks ago while he was at the UNITED NATIONS ! Hillary Clinton said during the primaries that if Iran used nuclear weapons on Israel the United States would “obliterate” Iran. She was attacked viciously by the press and by Obama’s supporters,but she was right. Fear is an essential component of a superpower’s arsenal. Does anyone think that any of the former Soviet Union’s republics will dare to challenge Russia again after the way Russia crushed Georgia a few weeks ago? Nobody is going to fear Obama. Everybody knows he is all bluster. Everybody will fear John McCain because they know he means what he says. The Iranians laughed at Jimmy Carter. They were terrified of Ronald Reagan. George W.Bush and Barack Obama are two peas from the same pod. They reduce complex problems to simplistic solutions. Reason and logic have no chance against hatred and intolerance or against madness. Obama’s naivete and gullibility are a threat to America’s security and interests. His supporters like to say he is another John Kennedy. That’s a joke. Kennedy was a hawk. Obama is another Neville Chamberlain.

John McCain must change the way the bailout of Wall Street is perceived by the public or he will lose. If the average American keeps thinking of the bailout as a giveaway he will lose in the Electoral College by a landslide. Most people in this country are utterly ignorant about economics. Almost everyone I talk to thinks that the problems on Wall Street are bogus. That these investment banks and brokerage firms all have hidden hundreds of billions of dollars and the Republicans are just giving them more money to play with. He can’t change that mentality in a month. What he must do is point out to people that the money given to investment banks is not a giveaway. That the government is actually going to receive the mortgages and the mortgages are not just a piece of paper. He must emphasize that the government will actually own tens of thousands of homes that are now vacant and several million mortgages on homes that are occupied. He must make it clear that these are real assets. Assets worth hundreds of billions of dollars. SOON,and that’s the operative word, some huge investment bank will want to purchase these mortgages from the government so they can sell the homes that are vacant or sell the mortgages on the homes that are occupied as investment opportunities.Banks package tens of thousands of mortgages and sell these as if they were stocks. McCain and President Bush have made similar statements already,but they say it so quickly and without any conviction that people don’t pay attention to them. McCain and Sarah Palin must go throughout the country and repeat it until they are blue in the face that Wall St. is not getting a free lunch. McCain must never use the word “bailout” again. He must say, “The greedy Wall St. investment banks no longer hold your mortgage. The American people hold them. Now I can really make mortgage reform possible. My economic team will work with homeowners so that they can hold on to their cherished dream,they can hold on to their homes”. Sarah Palin,with her way of connecting with people,can pull this off. Let her make speeches every day about mortgages and victory can be snatched from the jaws of defeat.
