What really matters is the yaught entered a war zone seeking to help Israelis enemies.

They are lucky that is all that happened to them. That ship could have been blown out of the water. The yaught could have also been confiscated and all on board put into prison for the duration. All in accordance to the usages of war.

As it is, all that happened was some feelings and a yaught were hurt.

Israelis take war very seriously.

Call me what you want, just don’t call me late for dinner.

They claim they were shot at. Now, I don’t know if that’s true, but even though I disagree with her party’s platform, I don’t take people shooting at my country(wo)men lightly.

you’ll find it says “Palmor denied there had been any shooting” (Palmor is the Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson). Frankly, I don’t think I’d take too much stock in what McKinney claims, based on her past track record.

it would be SOP to fire a shot across the bow of any vessel they were pursueing. I’d parse the statement pretty carefully. The Israelis could easily and truthfully say they never fired ON the vessel while having fired generally AT it to get its attention and signal their intentions. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t blame them, in fact would congratulate them, if they’d sunk it, but they play the media game pretty well too.
