This Republican primary seems to be driving bloggers over the edge in large numbers. I don't have time to comment on the bulk of this James Joyner post, but in conclusion he offers this bizarre tidbit:
Yet, the modern Conservative Moment seems to be dominated by the shrill nonsense of Coulter and Jonah Goldberg and Michael Savage and Neil Boortz.
One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong . . .
Jonah Goldberg is suddenly Ann Coulter or Michael Savage? What because he wrote a serious book whose cover offended some people? Never mind that Jonah actually castigated his fellow Cornerites for some of the over-the-top rhetoric about McCain.
I will leave it to readers to decide whether the rest of the article is worth reading, but accusing Jonah of "shrill nonsense" is cheap and inaccurate. Joyner should offer more substance if wishes to apply that label and be taken seriously.
