New Ras Poll: Hayworth down by 5 in AZ-Sen race

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections2/election_2010/election_2010_senate_elections/arizona/election_2010_arizona_republican_primary_for_senate

Just more evidence that people don’t want McCain, now I just want to know why the editors of Red State are not jumping onboard the Hayworth express when they endorse questionable people such as Rand Paul and Mike Castle.

Lets get it together and get this guy to D.C. McCain is our only roadblock.

do you know of polls that show how well each would do in the general election? Thanks.

      See Rasmussen here.

He’d be easier to replace later on than McCain, and the McCain political dynasty would hopefully not reemerge through Meghan.

it will probably be as a Dumbocrat.

I’d be quite worried about Hayworth in the general. This year, just about any Republican will win the Senate race.

While McCain has had a conservative record for the most part, he has been untrustworthy and not a team player. Further, I suspect that some of his movement to the right since 2008 has been to protect himself from a primary challenge. I have always believed that if he wasn’t facing a challenge, and probably after the primary, he would have backed some form of cap-n-tax and amnesty this year.

I’d support Hayworth in this one.

I am not a fan of McCain. But when I heard Heyworth on the Mark Levin show outright lying about McCain’s stance on the high tech border fence. It has been a disaster, with large cost overruns, tech failures, and hold ups. McCain wanted to scrap the high tech and use tech that was proven. I agree. JD flat out lied when he said that McCain just voted against any border fence. I see him as just another politician out for himself.

but I’d rather have “another politician out for himself” who agrees with us on everything than one who is unreliable and is very loud when in opposition to the conservative viewpoint.

for the primary. He is as much to the left as Olympia Snowe and as Tom Campbell would be. OTOH, I doubt any other Republican could win Delaware.

and down by only 5 is almost within the margin of error. This poll ,as well as all the good stuff ColdWarrior has been posting about this race gives one hope that the Republican sun will continue to come out every morning. Without McCain, it will shine that much brighter.
