Hell Has Frozen Over: Boston Herald Endorses Scott Brown!!

I am as shocked as you are. One of the major Boston newspapers endorsing a conservative Republican!
Today has been a very big day for Scott, as he has raised over $626,000 in his Red Invades Blue Money Momb and has already extended his goal to $750,000 by midnight EST, from his previous goal of $500,000!!
Here is the partial text of the Herald endorsement:

Massachusetts voters have to ask themselves a serious question before they head to the polls next week: Are they content with the current state of affairs in Washington?

Are they content with a sweeping health care bill, now being negotiated behind closed doors by principals from only one political party? (So much for a new era of bipartisanship promised by our president.)

And are they prepared for the impact that bill will have on the health care industry in our own state, where we already insure 97 percent of our population?

Are they prepared for the devastating impact of $500 billion in Medicare cuts, both on our citizens and on our hospitals?

But there is far more that is going wrong these days in D.C. than just the health care fight. There has been a similar rush to “fight global warming” with policies that would tax us back to the Stone Age.

There is some good news for Brown. He has a favorability rating of +30, 56% favorable to 26% unfavorable. For those most likely to vote, the lead is described as a “low single digits margin for Coakley”.

Time For a Post-Christmas Miracle: Red Invades Blue MoneyBomb for Scott Brown (MA Special Election)

Believe it or not, there is one last hope for a surefire kill to ObamaCare. His name is Scott Brown. He is running to succeed the late Ted Kennedy in the Senate. The election for the seat is January 19th. Currently, he has all the momentum in the race. His opponent, Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley is facing ethical issues, avoiding one-on-one debates, and sucking at the three candidate debates. From what I hear, Brown’s campaign has a lot of visibility in MA. People are reporting seeing hundreds of signs for Scott Brown, and many less for Coakley.
Now, you may say that Scoot Brown has no chance. Let’s not forget his 2004 special election victory for his state senate seat. At the time, Massachusetts’ own Democratic senator was running for president. He had not yet won the primary. The special election for the state senate was on the same day as the Democratic presidential primary. Everyone had said Brown’s opponent won the minute he became the Democratic nominee. Well, look who’s now a state senator.
There is a moneybomb for Scott Brown on January 11th. You can pledge your support here-

Lou Ann Zelenik For Congress in TN-06

In the Republican primary for the open Tennessee 6th district, there are 2 major choices so far.
1. State Senator Jim Tracy, who voted in 6 Democratic primaries, and possibly for Al Gore in a Presidential Primary he voted in.
2. The other is former Rutherford County Republican Party Chairwoman, Lou Ann Zelenik. She has been an active member in the TEA Party movement. She is even something that should attract national Republicans, who recruited Jim Tracy into the race- a self-funder. She has already launched two radio ads. They may or may not have been pulled, as they attacked retiring incumbent Bart Gordon (D).

The choice here is clear. This is a seat (R+13), where we should not have a Republican who voted for Gore in.
Decide for yourself.

Before the Primaries…there is another election

In a little over a month, voters in Massachusetts will head to the polls and elect a new United State’s Senator. They have two choices.
Liberal Democratic Attorney General, Martha Coakely, who is qualified to be a US Senator because “my sister lives overseas”. Her words, not mine.

But, there is another choice. State Senator Scott Brown won the Republican primary with 90% of the vote last Tuesday night. He is the most conservative member of the MA State Senate, having never voted for a tax increase. He is also against gay-marriage and the use of tax-payer money for abortions. In 2004, he won a special election for his senate seat on the day that Massachusetts’ own senator was on the ballot for the Democratic Presidential Primary. Pretty impressive huh? If he can overcome those odds, I like his chances of overcoming these.

Let’s forget Florida, Utah, and California for the next month and focus on Massachusetts. Want to kill the bill? What better way to do it than electing a Republican to the seat of Ted Kennedy?

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) Endorses Fiorina in CA Senate

After last month endorsing Marco Rubio, Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma endorsed Carly Fiorina to take down Barbara Boxer. Inhofe and Boxer both serve on the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, which Boxer chairs. Inhofe is the ranking member on that committee. She succeeded Inhofe as Chairperson of the committee when the Democrats took control of the Senate in 2007. They don’t appear to be the best of friends. Inhofe is one of the most conservative Senators, with a grade of 96/100, just behind Jim DeMint, and Jon Kyl, who also is supporting Fiorina. He ties with Mike Enzi, and Tom Coburn, who supports Fiorina, and is also from Oklahoma. Inhofe was also named “Outstanding Conservative Senator” recently.

“Carly Fiorina is a true fiscal conservative who has made controlling our federal deficit one of her top priorities. Her common-sense approach and sharp business skills make her exactly the kind of leader we need in the U.S. Senate to help address our ballooning deficit and get our nation’s economy back on track.”
