I seem to remember way back during the primaries, obama wanted higher gas prices. We evil Americans are too mobile, we spew CO2. We use more than our share of the earth’s resources. Well not to let a crisis go to waste, here is the oppurtunity for another “shakedown”, to save the planet of course. Once you agree that Clinton was right about obama being a “Chicago thug politician”, the picture gets a little clearer. With a Marxist streak of course.
