I for one appreciate the fact that Cain is so honest about his lack of the "right" knowledge to come up with a proper plan. He knows that there is intel that only the President sees that could change his viewpoint drastically. I also appreciate that he doesn't try to look like he knows everything about everything.

That being said, he does need to at least have the seed of a plan, not just say he won't have anything until he has all the info.

And why does this new plan by Pawlenty and leaders upset me so?

Because it appears that they don't believe in the principles that make up our party. They have given up in spreading and explain our message to Minnesotans in order to grow the party. Instead,

Pawlenty gets to run around making alliances with Democratic Presidential candidates, and the Republican Party leaders and surrogates do nothing, or worse, lash out at those of us with principles.

And they wonder why the party's conservative base isn't growing. They gave up on that idea long ago, and are doing nothing while Pawlenty runs around tearing the base apart

We're talking about a governor of a blue state, with a budget dependent on both tourism and agriculture, both of which would be affected by climate change as preached by Al Gore, signing a bill prior to the AGW scam being blown wide open, and walking it back.

The same pass you gave to Cain applies, only the time frame is different.

And unless you are Eisenhower, no modern candidate actually understands the nuts and bolts of foreign policy. It is only important that they establish a demeanor.

For instance:

Reagen- I'm going to go John Wayne on you if you don't release the hostages.

Obama- I'm going to apologize to the world.

still... Cain bombed majorly, and I hope it was a wake-up call

is that they've admitted their mistakes.

Pawlenty has said he was wrong on Global Warming.
Cain has said he was not prepared on Right of Return.

That speaks, to this cat, to who each of them is, at their core. As a combined ticket, they could be unstoppable.

And I'd love to see Cain debate either Biden or Obama... or Hillary, for that matter.

to debate the Dem nominee, whoever he or she may be.

Most important factor? Cain has been doing the best prep possible - live radio - for some time. This, I think, is why he did so well in the South Carolina Premature Debate - he's used to thinking on his feet.

Pawlenty did well, he's obviously a smart guy, and has had more exposure to the issues of actually running a State than Cain has; that said, the governor doesn't have to think on his feet except during press conferences, and those aren't daily for several hours.

I'm glad to hear Cain worked on resolving the concern so quickly. Although I am not a supporter of the Right of Return, it's one issue that won't just go away. As any bargaining chip, Israel can set the pace, but it will definitely come up again whether or not the Palestinians have any sure footing with it. I'm just glad to hear Cain moved quickly as that was what was required.

way ahead of Obama who's still pretending he is, or worse believes he is. Not to mention the fact that Cain has the good sense to do the research, ask the right questions, find people who know the issue, and get the right answers. I don't get the impression that he's looking for a yes-man which is a stark contrast to Obama. Kinda refreshing not to hear the typical political spin.

I think that Cain could become more assertive on this, presenting a nontraditional candidates viewpoint on who our allies have been traditionally-speaking, what has been taking place to our relationships with those allies during Obama's term, and how we might go about either adjusting to the shift in allies or rebuilding relationships with those allies in the future.

And I think he could do it a very candid way that would appeal to everyday ordinary citizens.

Cain has already set the record straight on this issue. He let it be known that although he had attempted to prepare for other questions that he believed Wallace might ask him, he hadn't prepared for the Right of Return question so it caught him completely off-guard.

He followed up to say that he had invested the time since the Wallace interview to learn as much as he could about the issue. His stand is that this is a decision that Israel and Israel alone should make. Not President Obama, any other nation or entity. And he pointed out that the Israeli's did NOT drive Palestinians out of the country in 1949...they left on orders from leaders in the Arab community at the time, with the intention being that they would be returning when the land was free of the Israelis.

I found his insight on this point to be very instructive, because it means that the Palestinians abandoned the land. Why should they now be allowed the Right of Return to a land they abandoned?

Cain messed up a question of Afganistan a few weeks back. He needs to get his act together on these issues soon, or he's done.

Anybody who wants to win the nomination has to win primaries in places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and California. There aren't enough delegates in Georgia and Alabama to win. Cain can't keep messing up on foreign policy issues. It's why Cain is such a long shot (and Bachmann too). The populists can do well in Iowa and they could knock a candidate like Pawlenty right out of the running. However, if that happens, the New Hampshire winner will have a huge advantage over the duration of the campaign. That's why I expect Romney to everything he can to help either Cain or Bachmann in Iowa.
