How To Economically Hurt The Journolistas

American Thinker has a little list. They have compiled a list of 65 Journolister Hall of Shamers. I reccommed that we, as proud ideological Conservatives who fight the Left anywhere it rears its ugly head, do the following. We must boycott any business or corporation that runs advertisements on a news network or radio show or newspaper that prominently features a known former member of Journolist.

The so-called journalism profession will do nothing to stem this endemic corruption. They don’t care. JournoList only streamlined and formalized what was already business as usual. But this time, they got arrogant and left a smoking gun.

The best way in which the Silent Majority can fight the media is by voting with our wallets. They cannot live well with their business model under assualt from Yahoo! and Craig’s List. They desperately seek to shut down the Rush Limbaughs and Andrew Breibarts. Let us all turn that around and shut down them.

When Kevin Drum, Spencer Ackerman, Paul Krugman or any other JournOlist hack spouts off, do not turn the channel in disgust. Wait until the next commercial break. List the corporations who advertise on the network. Then, if it all possible, do not buy ANY of their products or services. Cut them off.

Make any corporation who supports a network willing to broadcast a JournOlister lose business. Make those networks lose revenues. Make them pay. Here, again is the list of 65 known Journolisters. Make them pay. That is all.

I heard the accusation it was a “vast right wing conspiracy”….. The Journolistas conspired to turn an election pretending to be media.

They scream vrwc when they are conspiring.

They scream racist when they are race baiting.

Obama says he doesn’t want to take over businesses as he takes over even entire industries.

Just keep the wallet in your pants pocket…The Silent majority votes.

I find two minor issues with the idea:
    1. I for one don’t partake of these folks much already, (I’m sure many other RedStaters are in the same boat here). I doubt that I would ever know their advertisers.
    2. The list of advertisers needs to be posted somewhere and kept updated. Probably not here on RedState, but the location of that list needs to be posted here so we can find it at need.

Of course, I myself am not likely to have the choice of boycotting anybody anyway, unless a sponsor is Walmart or Shell oil, etc. I can’t afford a Lexus anyway.

Web URL thereof will be forthcoming next Mon. It’s on, baby! it’s on!

Companies are vulnerable to negative publicity. Calling them out in public forums, phone calls, letters etc. The left is good at villifying opponents. We need a platform like OFA to deliver focused coordinated attacks.

We’ll send form letters to the media outlet stating. Such-and-Such a journalist was part of journolist. You published this individual on xx date. Therefore, we have advised all of our friends to not purchase any products or services from the following advertisers. Here is the URL link to our boycott.

This may take some time on my end, but I am committed. I want to be like Andrew Breibart if I ever grow up. The first list of boycott victims goes up Monday on RS and TMR…

but .. it is in your best interest to maybe talk to a lawyer with some experience around these issues… Vassar may know someone, but I think he’s on vacation.

It may also be a good idea to e-mail Andrew Breitbart and let him know what’s going down before launch – who knows, he may be willing to help…

      Historical analogy. Background:

Pampered Chef brand is a collection of kitchen gadgets, bakeware, and related products sold via a “home party” network similar to the system developed by Tupperware.

Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway acquired Pampered Chef.

Berkshire Hathaway had a policy of using an employee-directed system to manage corporate charitable giving – and some monies were going to a pro-abortion group.

Here’s the part we need to learn from.

Due to complaints from the Pampered Chef reps that they couldn’t get bookings and couldn’t get sales because “Pampered Chef pays for abortions”, Buffet restructured Berkshire Hathaway’s charitable giving.

Conservatives take note – hit ‘em in the wallet, and do it by way of the grapevine.

(In case there’s a RedState reader out there who wasn’t aware…)

Back in 2006, this was covered nicely on a short article on Accuracy in Media by Cliff Kincaid.

He quoted an NPR story on Buffett, in which the reporter, Julie Rovner, began with these words:

?You mean you didn?t know Warren Buffett?s foundation has been funding abortion rights organizations? Well, that?s just the way the Buffets wanted it.?

        Full story is linked here.

that it’s forced the funding into hiding, and that will just make it worse when, not if, it comes out.
