You are never supposed to want to punch someone in the nose because he said something you find distasteful. It reduces you on the evolutionary scale to the moral stature of Imam Anjem Choudary expressing his displeasure over Pam Gellar’s continued presence on the face of the planet. But in the case of Philosopher-cum-Blithering Idiot Joe Gelonesi; I’m almost willing to seek Amjem Choudary’s advice. Really, I’m some sort of a pirate because I read to my kids and help them develop their vocabularies?

I’ve got some really unpleasant reality for faddish British Philosopher King Joe Gelonesi. It’s like the dirt bag spent the weekend watching The Wire, smoking hash and eating Doritos and now thinks that is how the world really *should* work. The world is a terrible place. What is the role of nature? To do its utmost and level best to absolutely obliterate you and speed you on your way through the Carbon Cycle and back into the fertile dirt. The Planet Arrakis from Frank Herbert’s Dune Novels is simply a literary metaphor for the uninhibited state of nature. One way or another, it will turn you into Nietzsche’s Last Man.

This is the fallen world into which my wife and I have brought two children.

It is upon our sacred honour to make are children the survivors – yea, verily the Fremen amongst the empoisoned and bloated Harkonnens. There is no advantage within my power that I do not owe to my two precious children as an act of utmost loyalty to family, nation and God. It’s not some assertion of domineering White (or in the case of my lovely wife, Korean) privilege. As a Dad; it’s my (expletive-deleted) job. I brought them both in and I can darn well take care of them or not (expletive) and moan if somebody else decides to take them out like Yesterday’s Garbage.

To properly contextualize my chainsaw of red, burning fury at these coruscating intellects who tell me I should neglect my offspring I offer you two disparate, yet chillingly similar views of what happens. What happens to children whose parents bite the bag and step out the door on honoring their sacred parental duties before God. We begin with Thomas B. Edsall, one whose views I dispute, yet whose intellect I respect. He describes what he calls “Red State Poverty” below.

Today Muskogee, Okla., a city of 38,863, has nine drug treatment centers and a court specifically devoted to drug offenders. A search for “methamphetamine arrest” on the website of the Muskogee Phoenix, the local newspaper, produces 316 hits. In 2013 just under two-thirds of the births in the city of Muskogee, 62.6 percent, were to unwed mothers, including 48.3 percent of the births to white mothers. The teenage birthrate in Oklahoma was 47.3 per 1,000; in Muskogee, it’s 59.2, almost twice the national rate, which is 29.7.

Lastly, a comment on What Do the Ten Most Dangerous Cities in America Have in Common? that I’ve shared previously is highly relevant:
On a side note, this post catalogs the effects of marriage; but not just any kind of marriage. It documents the need for the kind of marriage where parents, especially men, exert a substantial moral influence, and doing so in neighborhoods which maintain that moral influence. It’s not only that we have parents, but that those parents have a job to do, and society depends on them doing it effectively.

So what do we *learn* from all this pointless and murderous social carnage in both Red and Blue America? What heartbreaking new miserable experience are we all living through in White, Black, Hispanic and probably Comanche Indian America? Bad, lazy, immoral, dispirited, parenthood. That’s what’s killing us. That’s what’s killing our future.

Change that future. Break that evil cycle. Parent your children. This isn’t easy, but unlike many of the things I blog about almost as a prayer that my blogging will make the cavalry arrive, I can get this. You can get this. You and I both can help make a better America and a better tomorrow by acting today. Parent after reproducing. That is all.
