The Yin, The Yang, and The Yuck of VP Biden
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | August 16th at 03:00 PM |
Famous Physicist Enrico Fermi once described a paper he was grading as “so bad that it wasn’t even wrong.” Something similar perhaps describes the fascinating career of Vice President Joe Biden. He’s awful. He’s gafftastic. Picking Joe Biden for any important position would be like having Rex Grossman at QB in the Super Bowl! That would never happen. Except that Rex Grossman really did QB | Read More »

Barack Obama’s Dishonest Muppet Show
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | August 15th at 12:30 PM |
Whether they work for Goldman Sachs, or the United States Government, the people who wield power in Modern America have less and less respect for you as a human being and a citizen with each passing year. Former GS boss-turned-whistleblower Greg Smith offers us the following description of how the venerable firm viewed its clientele. “It makes me ill how callously people [at Goldman Sachs] | Read More »
Barack Obama – American Reactionary
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | August 13th at 01:00 PM |
At the core of the manifold paradoxes swirling around American governance is the harsh reality that we just can’t keep running our (stuff) the way it has evolved to run. Neither candidate for president is honest enough to spell this out and indeed both act as though easy work-arounds exist for sustaining the unsustainable. – (James Howard Kunstler) Mr. Kuntsler’s description of the two candidates | Read More »
Barack Obama Proves the Political Version of Gresham’s Law
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | August 10th at 11:00 AM |
Patrick J. Buchanan predictably gets it wrong. He claims that Barack Obama’s attack ad (that he had nothing to do with) featuring some guy named Joe Soptic (whom he barely knows) diminishes both Barack Obama and the Presidency. He may be correct about the office, but I can’t imagine anything much that could diminish Barack Obama further as a human being.
Romney’s Racism of Saying the Obvious
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | August 7th at 01:30 PM |
If you believe the propaganda our major networks label as news Mitt Romney personifies the Big, Bad White Devil. He denigrates the achievements of diverse foreign cultures. He picks the scabs off of centuries old grievances over racial injustice just because he gets off on making it bleed. So how does Mitt Romney work such horrible and iniquitous injustice? He egregiously tells the truth. Here | Read More »
Geithnerism In Its Fulsome Evil Glory
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | June 7th at 01:00 PM |
I don’t imagine Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner ever expected to end up as the philosophical poster-child of The New American Left. The Left is famous for raising taxes. Geithner may or may not even bother to pay his in any given year. Yet it happened during a light moment he experienced while testifying up on Capitol Hill. His statement to Congressman Ryan could accurately describe | Read More »

Mitt Had Better Worry About The Poor
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | February 2nd at 12:00 PM |
WARNING: The YouTube Video below is not safe either for work or Mitt Romney. There’s a part of me that hopes that the Rap-Artist known as Chapter engaged in evil satire when she wrote and performed the song portrayed in the video above. I also hope that GOP Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney was engaging in satire when he made the following comment. “I’m in this | Read More »
“Progress” Vs Thinking
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | December 14th at 12:30 PM |
Last night Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin was kind enough to thank the diarists at Redstate.com for supporting his unfortunately failed efforts to rise to greater power in the GOP Senate Caucus. He wrote an excellent diary that laid out the choices us as a nation face in 2012. He describes this as Obama’s Economy vs. the Path to Prosperity. The Obama Economy could also | Read More »
GOP Proud Go Hang Your Head In Shame
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | December 9th at 02:08 PM |
In the recent run up to the Iowa Caucus Texas Governor and GOP Candidate Rick Perry has put a socially conservative edge into his rhetoric that has caused a certain disquietude and alarm in some quarters of the gay, lesbian and transgendered community. GOP Proud is a GL&T group that purports to support the interests of these individuals who generally practice political Conservatism. Thus, it | Read More »
The Party of Jefferson and Jackson without Mr. Jackson
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | October 5th at 01:00 PM |
“I am a Democrat but largely because I was born a Democrat. It was passed down by my father.” – East Liverpool, OH Mayor James Swoger. (HT: Selena Zito) The Democratic Party has been in business for nearly as long as The United States has been in business independently, rather than as a subsidiary of Great Britain, Inc. It has succeeded to continue on, despite | Read More »

Immigration and Border Security (Part 2 of 3): Mitt Romney
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | August 19th at 02:00 PM |
The separate issues of border security and immigration have become entwined as the American economy continues to wane, an illicit drug trade continues to flourish and a vast number of Americans remain unemployed as illegal immigrants take jobs on American soil. This leads to the immigration and border security issues becoming increasingly important and controversial. With President Barack Obama’s decision to shore up his Hispanic | Read More »

“Not proposing anything bold and not trying to do something to definitively deal with our problems would mean that we’re going to have another year and a half like the last year and a half — and then it’s awfully hard to get re-elected.” Christine Romer (HT: NYT) I’ll fess up. I was totally taken in by Dr. Romer’s resume. I could have sworn she | Read More »
Could The Left Toss Obama Under The Bus?
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | July 26th at 09:30 AM |
“I think it would be a good idea if President Obama faced some primary opposition.” – Sen. Bernie Sanders (HT: New York Times) Sometimes I’m masochistic enough to wonder what Leftists think. There is some logic to that. The Left, like the poor, will always be with us. The obvious way to ascertain what Leftists think is to talk to an unabashed leftist who speaks | Read More »
President Barack Obama’s Persistent Gas Problems
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | April 26th at 04:12 PM |
“Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe,” – Sec. Stephen Chu. (HT: Yahoo News) When our illustrious president gets serious about a problem, he gets serious about making that problem go away. There are several ways to do this. The risk can be transferred, via blame, to another party. The problem can be assuaged | Read More »

He believes that so strongly that he has been especially critical of Presidents Clinton, Bush II and | Read More »
The Ground Trembles in Yellowstone Park (Is Mt. Obama Getting Ready to Blow?)
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | August 23rd at 12:44 PM |
It hasn’t happened for a while, but every-so-often we get days when The DrudgeReport runs Richter Scale readings from tremors in Yellowstone Park. This makes for a better banner headline than “Slow Newsday Sparks Boredom Crisis. Internet Hits Unexpectedly Crater as Nothing Happens.” Amidst the Stygian Recovery Summer blast-furnace, the Dreaded Yellowstone Volcano is as good of a boogeyman to break out as any. A | Read More »
